From YouTube: Backdrop Outreach July 13th
Description
Today’s outreach agenda: http://bit.ly/2uopk6g
A
We
only
have
a
couple
things
on
the
agenda
today,
first
and
foremost,
the
website
we
have
currently
working
on
a
statistics
block
that
is
equivalent
to
a
roughly
equivalent
to
the
statistics
clock
you
see
on
drupal.org
just
made
a
bunch
of
progress
on
it
this
weekend.
So
we're
going
to
have
the
number
of
commits
that
have
happened.
To
both
backdrop,
quarries
can
trip
the
number
of
comments
that
are
going
on
a
book
tour
and
contribute
the
number
of
people
or
contributing
a
foreign
kingship
as
a
little
three
column
block.
A
We
can
place
on
the
home
page
he
created
for
quests,
which
worked
great,
except
for
that
it,
depending
on
PHP,
seven
and
so
he's
got
a
follow
up,
commit
that
removes
all
of
the
type
hinting
in
function.
Definitions,
little
work
on
PHP
5'4,
so
we
can
use
it
on
our
live
server
and
then
five,
six
or
whatever
they're
using
now
and
then
I
think
Justin
has
also
got
a
new
server
for
us.
That's
running
PHP,
seven
that
we
can
move
to
at
some
point
in
the
future.
A
I
have
to
follow
up
on
that
issue,
so
we
can
figure
out
what
the
holdup
was,
but
I
think
there
was
some
other
problem
unrelated
to
PHP
version
O's
for
running
up
us
from
changing
the
servers
over,
but
anyway,
we've
got
the
block
and
we'll
put
that
on
the
home
page
as
soon
as
I
push
the
latest
changes.
Other
things
going
on.
We've
got
Wes
working
on
the
new
theme,
but
I
don't
know
where
that
stands
he's
been
really
busy.
A
The
last
few
weeks
that
we've
been
able
to
give
us
an
update,
I'm
feeling
a
problem.
We
means
he
hasn't
able
to
make
any
progress
the
last
few
weeks.
So
last
we
heard
that
was
pretty
close,
but
I
don't
know
realistically
what
that
means
right
now
we
have
some
other
things
that
we
could
be
doing
like
if
we
wanted
to
rearrange
the
navigation
to
match
our
intended
final
destination,
we
could
do
that.
A
We
just
need
a
little
theming
on
the
current
drop-down
menu
in
order
to
make
it
look
nice
in
a
drive,
don't
format,
but
that
could
get
done
anytime
and
then
and
we
are
holding
back
drop
sites
these
days.
So
I
would
love
to
see
that
show
cakes
heart
get
built
too.
So,
depending
on
how
that
fits
together
with
the
new
theme,
it
might
be
possible
to
do
those
in
either
order
as
long
as
we
do
it
in
a
way
that
we're
not
gonna
have
to
redo
it
later.
A
So
lots
of
things
to
do
not
a
lot
of
progress
other
than
this
homepage
stuff
that
were
working
on
right
now
and
and
oh,
the
homepage
block
stuff,
is
also
written
in
a
way
where
it
looks
like
we
won't
have
to
read
you
very
much
in
the
new
theme.
So
if
we
kind
of
every
time
we
add
something
new
to
the
site
before
the
new
theme
goes
up,
if
we
just
kind
of
think
about
that
first,
but
I
think
there's
a
way
as
painless
as
possible.
When.
A
Discussion
going
on
about
documentation,
stuff
for
probably
one
of
them
API
site,
but
we
have
kind
of
a
bigger
picture
plan
for
content
on
the
backdrop
site
in
in
other
places
like
in
newsletters
and
on
Twitter
or
posting
videos.
We
just
haven't
been
very
good
at
creating
the
content,
because
most
of
us
are
code.
People
are
not
printed
people.
So
if
you
want
to
see
the
big
picture
of
our
content
strategy,
there's
an
issue
in
the
backdrop
Sammis
org
queue
number
349.
A
So
if
you
want
to
help
us
write
some
content
that
don't
give
you
a
good
idea
of
what
we
need
in
where,
where
it
should
go,
what
medium
it
might
be
valuable
in
speaking
of
mediums
other
than
the
web
site,
we
have
two
things
that
we
should
be
thinking
about
getting
done,
content
wise
for
the
next
month.
One
of
them
is
figuring
out
what
we
want
in
our
next
newsletter
and
I.
Think
we
have
some
community
spotlight
is
our
latest
blog
post
I?
A
Think
we
wanted
to
do
a
highlight
of
community
spotlights
in
the
next
newsletter
so
that
we
could
say:
hey
we're.
Gonna
do
community
spotlights
if
there's
anyone
in
the
community
that
you
want
to
recognize.
Where
you
want
to
know
more
about.
Let
us
know
we
can
kind
of
add
them
to
a
list.
I
think
that
might
be
a
good
kind
of
call
to
action
where
we
can
highlight
the
one
we
have
and
also
solicit
feedback
for
ones.
A
A
A
C
A
A
D
A
I
mean
I
like
it,
somebody
doesn't
have
a
person
in
mind
and
then
we
need
to
have
some
I
mean
there's
already
a
list
on
the
main
issue.
Page
I
think
we've
got
some
good
able
to
start
with,
but
I
think
it
would
also
be
good
to
kind
of
solicit
feedback
from
the
larger,
a
backup
audience
be
like.
Oh
you
know,
do
you
have
a
friend
that
made
the
back
drop
site
and
you
want
to
know
why
they
chose
back
drop
or
something
like
that.
A
D
A
I,
don't
know
what
like
I'm,
not
sure.
We
necessarily
should
expect
to
get
a
whole
bunch
of
feedback
from
a
newsletter.
That's
not
usually
a
big
Avenue
for
communication,
but
I
think
making
the
newsletter
sound
like
we're
open
to
hearing
that
and
sending
them
to
an
issue,
or
it's
like
please
provide
your
feedback
is
kind
of
a
good
message
to
send
where
it's
like
hey.
If
you
want
to
participate.
This
is
how
to
do
it,
rather
than
just
being
like
hey
here's,
some
more
information.
A
A
All
right
well,
is
there
anything
else
that
we
should
talk
about
related
to
community
outreach.
Oh
maybe
I
should
put.
C
Welcome
to
ask
I
mean
one
of
those.
What
are
the
community
groups
done?
I
think
when
you
do
a
lot
of
outreach
for
is
actually
like
web
development
shops.
Do
we
have
any
that
are
using
backdrops
because
it
seems
like
doing
a
doing
a
profile
of
an
actual
company?
That's
using
backdrop
for
clients
would
be
helpful.
A
B
I
was
thinking
something
along
the
similar
lines,
Jen
that
we
could
actually
explicitly
reach
out
to
a
whole
host
of
in,
like
Drupal
shops
right
now
and
just
basically
reach
out
and
say
like
how
do
you
feel
about
backdrop?
You
know
and
like
literally
called
call
like
every
gerbil
agency
that
we
know
of
and
just
say
whatever
feelings
towards
backdrop.
If
you're
in
support
of
backdrop,
maybe
you
should
go
and
create
an
account
and
make
an
agency
on
fact.
Web
CMS
org,
you
know,
and
so
literally
solicit
Drupal
shops
to
say.
B
Are
you
interested
in
backdrop
and
go
to
all
of
these
people
that,
right
now
we
haven't?
It's
like.
We've
only
been
like
passively
like
allowing
people
to
sign
up
and
like
tweeting
and
things
like
that,
but
we
could
actually
actively
go
after
agencies
to
try
to
get
them
to
support
backdrop
and
you're,
referring
to
just
putting
their
own
names
and
logos
on.
A
B
C
A
Not
like
so
we've
been
really
careful
so
far
to
not
try
and
be
advertising
to
people
in
the
Drupal
community
like
we
want
them
to
want
backdrop
so
like.
If
we're
gonna
be
cold,
calling
people
it
needs
to
be
done
tactfully,
like
you,
can't
be
like
put
your
stuff
on
our
website
and
then
people
are
gonna,
be
like,
oh,
my
god
backed
up
called,
and
they
were,
you
know,
demanding
that
we
help
them
and
whatever,
like
I,
think
it
needs
to
be
like
very
types
of
people.
A
You
know
at
organizations
ask
them
how
they
feel,
like
not
very
cold
colleague
like
more
like
check
in
and
see
if
they
are
aware
of
opportunities
right,
because
okay,
like
if
we
start
stomping
really
hard
in
the
that's,
not
gonna,
be
good
for
us
or
them
yeah.
B
Yeah
and
obviously
we
should
curate
that
list
and
be
conscious.
We
don't
I
end
up
with
a
you
know,
red
hat
after
pole
type
situation.
What
I
mean?
Why
not
when
an
aqua,
a
sales
person
reached
out
to
automatic
tasks
if
they
wanted
to
do
to
repulse
services?
It's
like
anyway,
so
that's
what
I
mean
so.
A
What
does
this
process
look
like?
Is
it
just
like,
because
right
now,
there's
three
of
us
that
know
that
this
is
an
idea,
and
maybe
one
person,
that's
watching
the
video
all
right
person,
I'm
dawn.
A
Maybe
there
will
be
more
later,
but
so
how
do
we
make
this
happen
like
we're
like?
Oh
hey,
we
should
do
it
like.
Is
this
like
now
all
three
of
us
leave
here
and
like
email,
our
friends
and
be
like
hey?
Have
you
heard
of
that
job,
or
is
this
like
something
where
we
need
to
create
a
ticket
and
be
like
here
a
list
of
companies
that
need
to
be
contacted
and
we
need
to
have
like
individual?
Like
does
anyone
know
anyone
Aloha,
but
maybe
we
should
have.
B
A
B
But
there
would
be
no
problem
at
that.
Well,
maybe
is
this
just
another
problem
there'd
be
no
issue
if
they
like
we're
like
marketing
director
for
backdrop
or
something
like
that
or
you
know
something
along
that
those
lines
where
I
mean
I,
don't
know
it
seems
a
little
bit
more
tasteful
if
it's
coming
from
somebody
that
has
a
like
a
position
within
the
backdrop
community,
rather
than
somebody
that
is
hired
and
these
people
haven't
been
hired.
You
know
it's
really
more
of
like
a
community
outreach
rather
than
a
but
I,
don't
think
anyone
know
yeah.
C
I
think
that
is
better.
If,
like
people
who
know
people
there
reach
out
personally,
first
so
I
mean
I.
Think
your
idea
of
creating
a
ticket
would
be
good,
I.
Think
in
that
ticket
we
could
write
down
a
list
of
all
the
Drupal
shops.
You
know
and
who
knows,
people
there,
and
then
people
get
say
like
I'll
reach
out
to
this
thing
and
out
and
I
think
also,
we
should
come
up
with
a
list
of
the
things
that
we're
asking
for
I.
C
Think
that
just
making
sure
that
someone
or
multiple
people
at
the
organization
are
signed
up
to
our
newsletter
would
be
a
start
and
then
sort
of
ask
like
hey.
Would
you
really
willing
to
have
your
like
you
to
have
a
profile
on
our
site
and
hey?
Would
you
be
willing
to
do
a
blog
post
on
your
site
so
basically
just
come
up
with
a
script
of
the
increasingly
invasive
things
to
be
asking
them.
B
C
C
B
D
A
D
Help
you
know
what
tremendously
so
I
mean
I,
don't
mind
reaching
out
and
talking
to
people
and
making
a
story
and
helping
them
I
think
asking
them
to
come
up
with
a
blog
post
on
their
own.
They
might
may
or
may
not
do
that
where,
if
they
have
somebody
helping
them
out,
they
may
be
more
willing
to
say,
hey.
Here's,
the
information
and
I
could
write
it
up
for
them,
or
is
that
making
it
too
easy?
No.
C
I
think
that
we
should
have
a
variety
of
different
ways
for
organizations
to
contribute
and
whether
it's
writing
a
blog
posts
or
just
being
interviewed
for
one's
community
spotlights
or
you
know,
I
having
having
an
organization
page
putting
one
of
their
sites
and
be
in
the
site,
spotlight
area
yeah.
It
seems
like
there's
plenty
of
different
ways
that
I
think
it's
just
important,
that
we
get
actual
development
shops
sure
and
into
the
mix.
D
And
I
agree
totally
and
and
and
these
I
mean
I
can
knock
these
things
out
in
the
half-hour.
It's
not
that
big
of
a
deal,
and
it's
not
always
not
gonna,
be
a
bit
the
same
questions
that
are
being
asked
I'll
have
to
think
of
it
a
little
bit
more
broadly
as
far
as
shops
are
concerned,
and
what
type
of
questions
to
ask
them
all
I
need
are
leads.
You
know
you
know,
even
if
it's
just
a
suggestion
that
I
think
this
would
be
a
good
person
to
contact
I,
don't
know
who
those
contact.
C
A
B
D
C
D
D
A
A
One
other
thing:
I
wanted
to
talk
about
really
quickly.
There's
this
huge
conference
called
Web
Summit
in
this
year.
It's
in
bliss
Lisbon
in
November.
A
And
then
you
get
invited
to
all
these
like
networking
things
where
you
basically
get
to
go
and
pitch
whatever
it
is
that
you
have
it's
not
limited,
only
startups
and
so
I
applied
for
it
and
was
like
hey.
We
have
this
software
product,
it's
fantastic!
It's
open-source!
We
don't
have
a
business.
We
know
we're
not
startup,
but
I
want
people
to
know
about
it,
and
the
lady
that
I
was
talking
about
was
like.
Oh,
this
is
a
perfect
candidate
for
this
program
and
then
they
accepted
me.
A
But
then
there
was
like
this
huge
cost
of
I,
don't
know
if
it
was
the
ticket
cost
or
something
or
just
like.
Oh
my
god,
you
had
to
sign
up
in
three
days,
I'm
like
when
we
can
trace
how
much
money
in
three
days,
but
I
want
to
talk
about
doing
the
same
thing
for
the
us-based
conference
in
2018,
where
I
think
were
equally
likely
to
be
accepted
into
this
program
for
the
us-based
conference.
A
It's
gonna
be
much
more
affordable
to
get
to
New
Orleans's
to
get
to
Europe,
and
if
we
knew
ahead
of
time
that
we
were
gonna
do
it.
We
could
raise
money
from
sponsors
to
send
us
there
what,
if
I,
would
call
from
home
again
collision.
Okay,.
C
A
Yeah
I,
don't
sound
a
little
even-even
collision
doesn't
sound
anyway,
but
one
of
the
major
advantages
of
this
conference
is
like
it's
not
it's,
not
a
web
specific
conference,
which
is
kind
of
a
technology
conference.
A
The
Web
Summit
in
in
Europe
is
a
little
bit
more
web-based,
but
they
also
do
like
apps
and
a
whole
bunch
of
other
stuff,
but
there's
a
ton
of
PR
that
you
get
by
being
a
part
of
it
like
they
have
like
newscasters
that
come
and
report
on
new
things
and
there's
a
whole
bunch
of
people
that
are
just
coming
through
to
like
write
stories
for
TechCrunch
and
whatever
and
I.
A
Think
that
just
the
number
of
people
like
passing
through,
who
would
see
it
that
are
completely
different
from
the
kinds
of
people
that
we
would
normally
reach
might
be
super
valuable
to
have
a
backdrop
booth
at
this
kind
of
event,
and
it
wouldn't
be
like
a
booth
at
a
drupal
event
where
it's
like
a
sponsor
and
you're
like
it.
I,
don't
know
it
just.
A
It
felt
like
a
kind
of
a
different
kind
of
thing,
so
I
wanted
to
throw
it
out
there
and
see
how
everybody
felt
about
going
to
something
like
coalition
and
having
a
booth
and
getting
involved
in
all
of
these,
like
PR
efforts
and
I
thought
that
might
be
a
good,
a
good
boost
for
backdrop
to
take
it
out
there
does
anyone
have
any
like
major
resignations
reservations
about
doing
something
like
that.
C
A
And
especially,
some
of
these
big
tech
conferences
have
huge
entrance
ticket
prices,
and
so
that
was
why
I
originally
Frank
white
of
women
sound
sound,
like
oh
I'd
like
to
go
to
this
Web
Summit
thing.
But
why
was
really
expensive
and
I
was
like
I'll
look.
They
have
this
thing
specifically
for
like
having
food,
hey
what
you
know
get
you
publicity,
whatever
I'm
like
how
they're
great
and
they're
like
you're
accepted
I
was
like
what
like
you
need
to
buy
this
ticket
in
three
days.
Okay,.
A
A
It
was
a
lot.
It
was
enough
that
I
couldn't
just
buy
it
like
out
of
my
personal
money,
I
think
it
was
like
fifteen
hundred
dollars
or
something,
and
that
was
not,
including
like
airfare,
to
get
to
Europe
and
I'm
like
I'm
having
a
good
airfare
but
I,
don't
think
I
can
pay
for
everything,
and
so
then,
when
I
was
like
well,
they
have
this
similar
conference
in
the
US
and
they're
so
much
cheaper
and
if
I
think
we
can't
actually
get
it
like,
we
could
plan
ahead.
A
So
you
know
you
dollars,
it's
totally
worth
it
for
the
amount
of
press
but
I'm
not
like
not
having
been
there
and
knowing
exactly
value
of
that.
It's
kind
of
hard
words
like
jerk
will
events
are
free
and
this
one
is
not
there's
a
lot
more
people,
but
are
they?
Are
people
I,
don't
know
so
I
think
it
would
be
a
good
thing
to
experiment
with,
but
not
at
the
cost
of
going
to
Europe
and
not
working
yeah?
A
Okay.
So
if
you
guys
are
generally
not
like,
no,
that's
not
a
conference
cross
I.
Think
that's
good.
I
will
definitely
plan
on
the
money
for
the
same
jacket
coalition
conference
this
year
when
that
is
available.
I
just
noticed
they
announced
this
week
that
they're
planning
for
a
collision,
the
comp
28:18.
