From YouTube: Backdrop Weekly 9/16
Description
Today’s development agenda: http://bit.ly/1UpWiZx
A
All
right
we
are
on
air,
it
is
thursday
june
sixteenth,
happy
thursday
june
sixteenth
everyone,
a
couple
of
quick
announcements,
akala
box.
If
you
would
like
a
local,
develop
environment
that
has
native
backdrop,
support
you
can
install
cala
box,
you
can
get
a
kallah
box
that
I
owe
you
want
to
make
a
donation
to
backdrop
CMS.
We
will
send
you
a
thank-you
t-shirt
for
equity,
Thank,
You
t-shirts
are
mailed
up
for
twenty
five
dollar
donation
in
hoodies
are
for
fifty
dollars
for
more.
A
We
have
a
variety
of
sizes
of
hoodies
with
t-shirts
we
don't
have
any
extra
larges
or
extra
extra
larges
left,
but
we
are
going
to
make
a
new
order
soon,
so
hopefully
we'll
be
able
to
I
get
everybody's
size
in
stock.
If
you
would
like
a
free,
phpstorm
license
and
your
member
of
the
backdrop
contribute,
you
can
send
an
email
to
info
pack
trips,
you
must
at
work
and
we
can
send
you
a
link
to
get
Ella
days
and
Steve
I.
You
want
phpstorm
and
you're,
not
yet
a
controller.
A
We
can
also
help
you
get
through
that
process.
You
can
fill
out
a
contribute,
a
shin
at
a
github.
In
the
backdrop,
ops
group,
there
is
a
project
called
Kim
trim,
so
working
on
back
job.
Let
us
down
I,
don't
think
there
are
any
updates
from
the
PMC.
Unless
anyone
has
anything
anyone
else
has
anything
they
want
to
say
no
okay.
So
then
we're
going
to
turn
the
meeting
over
to
Gregory
to
give
us
an
update
on
community
growth.
A
B
Right,
munity
growth,
we
have
275
total
projects
for
backed
up
CMS
has
only
one
new.
Since
the
last
meeting
we
have
185
projects
with
official
releases,
there's
no
change
since
last
meeting,
then
this
278
releases
on
backdrop
CMS
the
org
with
11
new
since
last
meeting,
53
total
backdrop
contribute
or
thurs
and
there's
13.
One
of
them,
I
think,
is
me
pending
just
the
things
to
do
in
approval
and
then
20
3
organization
for
files,
which
is
still
more
than
last
meeting.
B
A
A
C
C
C
C
We
do
have
one
problem
that
we
can't
restart
a
test
if
it
fails
on
xen,
see
I.
The
only
thing
we
can
do
is
close
and
then
reopen
the
pull
request,
which
can
be
a
little
frustrating
for
people
that
are
actually
filing
the
pull
request,
because
they
don't
have
the
ability
to
well
I
think
they
can
close
and
reopen
their
own
pull
requests.
So
nevermind.
B
C
But
it
either
has
to
be
a
maintainer
or
or
the
original
author
in
order
to
restart
the
tests.
So,
let's
see
we're
still
working
on
resolving
random
test
failures.
That's
issue
1478.
C
It
would
be
even
better
if
we
didn't
have
to
restart
test
in
the
first
place,
if
we
could
somehow
resolve
all
of
the
random
test
failures
which,
for
the
most
part,
have
to
do
with
timing
like
test
running
or
slowly
or
more
quickly
than
others
or
sometimes
random
data
being
inserted,
that
a
brand
of
data
contains
some
character
that
causes
some
unexpected
results.
So
it
would
be
good
to
continue
resolve
all
those
problems,
we're
definitely
getting
a
lot
fewer
than
we
had
been
before,
but
they're
still
happening.
C
So
that's
it
for
testing
infrastructure,
not
a
whole
lot
changed
in
this
past
week.
Next,
up,
we've
got,
dress
and
doesn't
look
like
Jeff
is
with
us
this
week,
so
the
basic
status
on
drush
is
nothing
real
new
here
either
we
have
address
extension
that
you
can
use
the
just,
throw
it
into
your
home
directory
where
your
home
crush
directory
I
should
say,
and
then
drush
eight
will
work.
C
So
rush
up,
DB,
drush
sequel,
whatever
rush
rush
do
all
of
those
basic
commands
are
working,
but
because
of
the
differences
between
drupal
and
backdrop,
we
have
to
rewrite
every
command
that
we
want
in
order
that
we
want
drush
to
work
with
for
backdrop,
some
so
it's
coming
along
and
the
primary
thing
that
we
need
is
people
to
be
using.
It
can't
go
out
there
and
test
and
if
you
come
across
some
issues,
logged
issues
against
the
backdrop
contribs,
which
is
a
github
com,
/
backdrop,
Tuscan,
trib,
/,
brush.
A
All
right,
so
we
have
our
floor
requests
from
Gore
that
integrates
single
sign-on
with
github,
so
I'm
going
to
try
that
last
week,
I
got
active
siesta
or
upgraded
to
the
latest
version
of
backdrop.
Today,
I
want
to
try
out
that
for
quest
and
see
if
that's
ready
to
go
on
our
site
or
if
we
need
a
little
more
work
done
on
it.
A
But
I
will
leave
a
comment
shortly
after
this
meeting
and
we're
also
working
on
a
showcase
section
for
people
who
have
built
sides
with
backdrop
to
post
about
the
work
that
they've
done
and
we
can
feature
some
of
those
and
help
new
people
are
trying
to
sell
back
truck
sites,
see
what's
already
out
there,
and
so
we
have
designs
underway.
We've
already
have
an
ode
to
design
for
what
the
actual
showcase
node
will
look
like
and
we're
working
on
kind
of
a
gallery
design
for
the
landing
page
as
well,
so
hopefully
that'll
be
pretty
soon.
A
We
could
use
some
help
implementing
if
we
want
people
to
help
us
set
up
the
content,
type
and
or
the
view
and/or
the
layout
page.
For
that
that'll
be
great,
and
then
we're
also
doing
a
bunch
of
work
on
the
support
section
of
our
site,
so
trying
to
get
documentation
done
in
organized
I.
A
Did
I
got
really
distracted
yesterday,
because
I
saw
great
documentation
was
created,
like
I,
must
read
this
right
now
and
then
I
didn't
do
any
work
for
like
a
network,
so
I
was
so
busy
reading
the
documentation,
so
it's
great
I'm
so
excited
to
have
it
up
there.
You
guys
are
doing
a
fantastic
job
on
that,
so
so
good
job
we've
got
a
couple
of
follow-up
issues
on
the
documentation
to
try
and
make
it
a
little
more
legible
to
people
who
are
reading,
but
other
than
that
I
think
it's
kind
of
good
to
go
anytime.
A
So
as
as
we
keep
working
on,
it
will
eventually
decide.
There
will
be
a
cut
over
time,
we'll
get
that
up
and
then
also
in
the
support
section.
We
want
to
set
up
our
forums
and
I.
Think
we've
got
a
kind
of
clear
outline
for
what
content
we
want
to
include
like
which
forms
want
to
set
initially
just
that
we're
bombarding
people
with
too
many
options
and
then
now
that
all
its
left
is
kind
of
the
technical
implementation
details.
A
I've
got
a
local
site
setup,
that's
running
a
whole
bunch
of
tamarind
for
EM
solutions
that
are
going
to
give
a
shot
a
couple
it
on
Drupal
7
because
they
don't
exist
for
backdrop
yet
and
then
I
just
kind
of
seeing
what
we
can
do
in
fact,
job
without
forum
extensions
and
trying
to
figure
out
kind
of
the
best
of
all
worlds
like.
What
do
you
want
from
a
forum?
And
what
do
we
get
for
free?
And
what
do
we
have
to
build
so?
A
Hopefully
we'll
get
kind
of
a
conclusion
on
that
fairly
soon
and
we'll
be
able
to
move
forward
with
actually
building
our
forum.
But
I
think
that
we
can
get
that
showcase
section
and
support
section
figured
out
that
I'll
make
huge
strides
in
terms
of
cleaning
up
our
website
and
we've
got
more
about
the
website
to
that.
We'll
talk
about
later.
In
that
hour,
each
section
of
that
line,
but
we
also
have
a
whole
bunch
of
other
parts
of
our
website
that
still
needs
some
attention.
A
A
The
event
listing,
I
think,
is
probably
fine,
as
is,
but
it
will
be
good
to
add
things
like
location
filters,
so
you
can
figure
out
what
events
are
near
you
and
same
thing
with
service
providers,
some
kind
of
filters
there,
so
people
can
figure
out
how
to
find
service
providers
to
certain
areas
of
expertise
or
people
that
are
near
their
location
as
well,
so
a
lot
to
do
on
the
website.
We
definitely
could
use
volunteers.
A
C
Ok
so
backdrop,
one
top
43
is
the
next
bug-fix
release
that
will
be
pushing
out
I.
Think
that
that's
going
to
be
in
probably
in
this
next
week,
Jen
had
filed
an
issue
that
our
new
radix
based
layouts.
We
had
some
class
mismatching
so
that
the
fallback
style
sheets
aren't
working
correctly
and
that
in
particular
effects
older
versions
of
ie
or
anything
that
doesn't
support
flexbox,
so
we'd
like
to
get
that
fixed,
and
that
would
make
it
so
that
browsers
that
don't
support
flexbox
will
fall
back
gracefully
to
to
a
float
based
layout
system.
C
A
Yeah,
one
of
them
was
just
a
CSS
name,
mismatch
in
the
float
fall
back
style
sheet
and
the
other
one
was
that
we
need
to
use
the
float
fallback
style
sheet
on
safari,
even
though
it
does
support
flex
bucks
because
it
doesn't
support.
What's
correctly.
Oh,
that's.
C
If
you
can
send
me
link
or
post
that
into
the
agenda,
then
then
I'll
take
a
look
at
that,
so
I'm,
nothing
really
exciting
for
one
up
for
two
three
yeah,
just
it
should
be
out.
Probably
this
next
week,
oh
also
related
to
two
minor
and
bug
fix
releases,
is
that
Drupal
released
a
security
updates.
This
past
Wednesday.
C
Some
people
may
have
noticed
that
and
we
tweeted
it
yesterday,
but
I'll
say
it
again
for
the
people
that
watch
the
videos
that
we
were
not
affected
by
the
security
updates
that
came
out
yesterday
for
Drupal,
so
there
was
triple
seven
really
central
8
release
both
fixing
separate
problems,
but
neither
of
those
problems
or
in
backdrop.
So
so
what's
coordinated
as
usual.
C
Okay,
let's
see
here
so
1.5,
is
the
next
minor
release
that
will
be
coming
out.
September
15th
we're
calling
it
the
editorial
experience,
release
and
we've
got
a
number
of
major
items
that
we'd
like
to
get
in
for
that
release,
the
first
of
which
we've
gotten
here
on
the
agenda
is
issued
1301,
adding
a
reference
module,
2
core,
so
references
we've
got
ports
of
user
referenced
and
no
reference
and
contribute
ified
reference
module
similar
to
entity
reference
module,
but
not
without
not
with
all
the
craziness
that
the
entity
module
itself
includes.
C
C
The
issue,
although
it's
issued
1301
we've
moved
the
module
into
a
contributory.
So
it's
now
under
github.com
/
backdrop
contributes
and
if
you
use
the
module
and
would
like
to
improve
it,
then
you
should
just
be
finally
pull
requests
against
that
contribute.
That
gets
moved
into
core
as
well
Michaels,
honest.
D
Feedback,
especially
Chad
people,
might
have
what's
that
open
any
feedback
and
stuff
I
have
a
list
of
like
things
that
I've
done
and
going
to
do
something
that
has
just
ideas
about
that.
That
would
be
helpful.
Any
issues
requests
for
functionality,
just
pretty
much
anything
that
anyone
has
opinions
about
dangerous
than
here.
Yeah.
C
C
It
almost
went
into
the
last
release,
but
but
we
pushed
it
back
to
1.5,
it's
ready
for
review
the,
but
the
one
thing
that's
lacking
and
what
wes
is
continuing
to
work
on
right
now
is
that
you'd
like
it
to
be
a
compatible
with
color
modules
that
you
can
actually
change
the
appearance
of
it
right
now?
It's
just
always
this
kind
of
dark,
blue,
maybe
kind
of
thing
going
on
and
after
color
module
is
completed,
then
you'd
be
able
to
change
it.
You
know
similar
to
the
way
you
can
change.
C
So
he's
working
on
revamping
the
color
module
UI
and
some
of
its
administrator
API
abilities
in
issued
1905
I
guess
also
related
that
there's
1949,
which
is
a
theme
settings
revamp
where
we're
trying
to
figure
out
ways
to
make
configuring
theme
settings
more
friendly
for
all
themes
like
we've
got
a
live
preview
right
now
for
four
color
module,
but
it's
not
really
quite
a
live
preview.
It's
more
just
like
a
faux
preview.
If
you
will-
and
the
idea
is
that
we
could
potentially
actually
show
a
real
live
preview
of
the
of
the
site.
C
As
theme
settings
are
changed,
so
you
can
actually
see
how
the
appearance
is
affected.
As
you
change
settings
in
your
in
your
theme
and
the
nice
thing,
if
that
comes
to
completion,
would
be,
it
would
work
for
more
things
than
just
color
module,
because
right
now,
that's
all
that
our
preview
is
actually
good
for
okay,
new
I
next
item.
C
We
want
to
add
a
new
homepage
layout
so
that
out
of
the
box,
there's
a
layout
at
/,
front
door,
/,
home
and
right
now,
it's
mostly
just
adding
a
single-column
layout
and
placing
a
few
blocks
in
it.
But
there
are
some
sub
issues
under
that
issue.
That
we'd
also
like
to
include
things
like
having
a
hero,
image
or
slider,
or
something
up
at
the
top
of
that
homepage
layout
would
really
help
people,
because
almost
all
sites
have
such
a
thing
and
so
there's
issue
for
handling
at
it
at
1152,
I,
don't
think
yeah.
C
There
hasn't
been
any
real
new
items
in
here,
but
we're
open
basically
to
all
options
as
far
as
coming
up
with
something
that
makes
sense
for
hero
image,
it's
been
floated
that
we
might
do
something
just
as
simple
as
making
a
custom
block
which
again,
if
we
make
if
we
provide
things
that
are
there
for
people
to
edit,
then
they'll
feel
like
they're.
You
know
that
lessens
the
learning
curve,
because
there's
already
examples
for
them
to
work
with.
C
C
Okay,
let's
see
next
item
rich
text
editor
we're
planning
on
making
some
general
improvements,
so
the
issue
for
that
is
1087
there's
a
whole
slew
of
items
in
there
of
things
that
could
be
improved.
There's
also
the
list
of
things
that
we
already
have
improved
and,
in
particular,
we've
got
one
really
nasty
problem.
We're
in
edges
are
being
deleted
when
you
upload
them
into
into
non
entity.
Items
which
includes
custom
blocks
so
I
see
that
this
one
is
blocked
and
I
know.
C
C
C
C
D
We
had
a
community
outreach
meeting,
it
was,
it
was
pretty
much
jen
and
myself.
If
I
put,
I
put
the
link
to
the
notes
in
these
notes,
they
can
go
from
one
google
doc
to
the
other
google
doc
if
you're
interested.
Basically,
we
were
I'd,
say
saying
where
we
are
and
where
we're
trying
to
go.
Basically,
just
we
need
more
focus
on
different
audiences
other
than
developers,
because
the
current
website
is
you're,
mostly
for
developers.
D
Moving
about
backdrop,
user
guide
and
developer
guide
from
under
handbook
into
just
the
main
navigation
and
then
putting
like
and
then
putting
mud
those
things
and
layouts
behind,
like
extensions
or
some
other
word
that
we
can't
think
of
because
apparently
people
don't
like
the
word
extensions
or
extend
this
or
something
yeah,
anything
else
Jen.
You
think.
A
D
So
I
went
and
did
a
talk
last
week
at
the
Portland
Drupal
users
group,
and
that
was
good.
What
really
went
over
well
was
the
blog
post
that
had
the
animated
gifts
of
like
the
functionality
of
just
like
I
could
just
point
like.
Oh
we
have
this
thing
in
here.
I
was
the
project
browser
I
just
pulled
up
the
project,
browser
blog
post
and
had
like
the
animated
gift
of
how
you,
and
maybe
it
was
how
you
do
it,
and
it
was
very
easy
for
people
to
see.
D
So
I
really
think
that
we
need
have
a
section
on
the
website
that,
if
nothing
else
with
all
the
features
and
has
a
little
animated,
gif
like
showing
how
they
work,
would
be
really
helpful
for
doing
more
outreach
and
actually
being
able
to
tell
people
like
what
backdrop
does
and
that.
Well,
it
doesn't
so
so
I
guess
we're
gonna
plan
on
continuing
having
these
outreach
meetings
every
other
week.
D
Or
not
issue
queue,
so
that
is
like
Jenna's
like
like
anyone
who
does
marketing
somebody.
That's
not
going
to
be
on
github,
so
we
should
probably
provide
some
alternate
way
to
track
outreach
tasks,
not
sure
exactly
what
that
is.
Maybe
we
could
build
a
separate
backdrop
site
that
you
know
has
issued
fewer.
Has
a
discussion
thing?
That's
for
that
you
log
in
to
see
or
something
like
that,
but
yeah.
If
we
could
discuss
that
further
going
forwards,
so
yep?
That's
not
it.
C
Awesome
yeah
I
think
it's
great
to
mention
also
that
we're
starting
the
outreach
meetings
every
other
week
so
next
week
will
be
the
design
meeting
and
then
the
week
after
that
will
be
the
outreach
meeting
and
alternating
back
and
forth
so
well,
two
meetings
back
to
back
every
Thursday,
either
the
marketing
or
a
jerk
store
each
or
design
just
before
this
one,
and
then
this
one
will
continue
to
happen
every
week.
So
yay
great,
let's
see
genk,
do
round
out
the
news
and
announcements
section
or.
A
So
we're
supposed
to
have
a
blog
post
last
Friday
from
me.
Maybe
you
can
do
one
today
for
tomorrow,
yeah.
C
A
And
then
I
know
Andy
said
he
was
working
on
a
blog
post
to
so
when
you're
ready,
India,
let
us
reveal,
maybe
it
can
go
up
next
week.
Maybe
you
can
go
the
week
after
whenever,
whenever
you
think
it's
good
enough
and
anyone
else
has
any
ideas
for
the
blog,
definitely
Linux.
No
Mike
I
would
love
to
see
your
managing
cmi
on
pantheon
idea.
A
I
know
you
don't
have
a
lot
of
time,
but
I'm
about
to
launch
the
site
on
Pantheon
and
I
want
to
know
if
I'm
doing
is
the
same
way,
you're
doing
it.
Oh,
that
would
be
good
to
get
out
there
at
some
point
too,
and
then
we've
got
a
newsletter
coming
up
pretty
soon.
So
as
soon
as
we
get
these
two
layout
related
issues,
results
will
do
a
new
released
first
release
to
pantheon
wants
to
release
force
on
campeon.
A
We
can
send
the
newsletter
to
everyone,
so
they
don't
try
to
try
to
go
to
Pantheon,
to
play
with
a
backdrop
site
and
aren't
able
to
find
the
latest
version.
Let's
see,
yeah
anyone
who
wants
to
help
with
marketing.
As
Mike
mentioned.
We
currently
have
a
tag
in
the
backdrop
CMS
torque
issue
queue
that
is
maybe
not
the
most
play
sport,
but
we
will
eventually
figure
out
where
those
live,
but,
right
now,
that's
where
all
our
marketing
related
tasks
are
listed.
It
is
Thursday
every
Thursday.
A
We
do
a
little
backdrop
sprint
after
this
meeting.
So
if
anyone
wants
to
help
us
work
on
any
of
the
things
we
identified
today
or
anything,
you
are
personally
very
passionate
about,
we
would
love
to
get
some
help.
We
meet
on
github
in
our
issue,
queues,
which
is,
at
the
main
backdrop
project
to
skip
babcom
/
backdrop.
It
hasn't
issue
queue
at
backdrop,
dash
issues.
The
project
is
at
backdrop
itself.
We
chat
on
Gator
Gator
that
IM
/
backdrop
dash
/
backdrop
dash
issues.
A
All
these
links
are
on
the
I
think
it's
on
the
contribute
page
on
backdrop
CMS
to
org.
We
are
going
to
get
our
support
page
up
on
that
site
too,
and
we'll
move
all
of
this
information
over
there
we're
also
an
IRC
if
anyone
is
still
in
IRC
at
pound
backdrop,
we
have
a
list
of
upcoming
events
on
the
backdrop
cns
org
website
at
/
events.
Next
up
is
next
week.
A
B
A
For
next
week's
meeting
will
set
it
all,
somebody
else
wants
to
run
the
meeting
and
the
agenda
will
be
there.
The
event
will
be
ready,
so
someone
just
has
to
kind
of
click
start
and
it'll
go
since
Wes
has
been
trained
on
that
all
paying
in
and
see
if
you'll
be
around
next
week,
but
Nate
and
I
will
be
training,
so
you'll
have
to
have
some
fun
without
us
and
then,
let's
see,
we
also
have
a
couple
books
coming
out.
Ooh
the
new
beginning
backdrop
book
is
going
to
be
out
next
week.
A
You
can
actually
already
buy
it
online.
If
you
want
an
online
version,
you
can
get
it
from
a
press,
but
it
should
be
in
print
on
the
22nd.
So
that's
super
exciting.
Anyone
who
wants
to
upgrade
from
Drupal
can
get
the
migrating
from
Drupal
to
backdrop
book
it's
just
available
now,
both
on
a
press
and
enzyme.
E
E
B
E
Background
boy
sex
so
recently
I
jump
it
in
on
this
project
and
I
did
a
plenty
of
work.
So
there
is
a
poor
request
and
my
for
when
I'm
working
on,
let's
say
implementing
similar
to
drive
structure
when
we
can
easily
port
fall,
Josh
comments
under
the
project
and
having
the
same
functionality.
I
sent
two
screenshots
on
a
channel
which
it
looks
pretty
growth
am
pretty
easy
want
a
dr
extensions.
So
if
anybody.
E
C
And
now
I
don't
think
so.
It's
just
yeah.
It's
interesting
I,
like
the
idea
that
you
know
for
every
starts
fresh.
Basically,
we
won't
have
to
carry
around
the
baggage
of
drush,
but
we
also
don't
have
the
consistency
of
rush
I
think
it's
great
to
have
to
have
a
command
line
tool
in
the
works
that
isn't
rush
as
as
an
alternative,
because
I
think
like
for
the
world
that
we're
now
where
we're
trying
to
attract
Drupal
developers
having
drush,
is
a
real
positive
thing
on
therm
like
sleeved
rushers,
long-term
maintenance
brush.
E
Yeah
I
agree
dragon.
Unfortunately,
josh
has
a
long
story
and
there
is
a
lot
of
complexity
inside
and
when
we
wasn't
like
doing
a
support
was
doing
it,
but
drop
support
for
Dragic
was
like
pretty
painful
process.
What
I
think
also
because
I
do
the
structure
very
similar
to
drive
structure
but
I
just
remove
it
all
baggage
that
have
been
for
wild
here
and
I
made
it
in
a
way
that
I
can
wrap
around
ad
rush
functionality
inside
of
the
project.
