From YouTube: Backdrop Weekly Nov 9th
Description
Today’s development agenda: http://bit.ly/2z87RCH
A
All
right,
we
are
on
air,
happy,
November,
9th
everybody.
This
is
a
meeting
to
check
in
on
active
development
tasks.
For
a
backdrop
CMS
and
before
we
get
started
on
that,
I
do
think
all
of
the
PMC
members
managed
to
get
their
applications
back
to
our
lawyer,
which
is
great,
I,
think
we're
kind
of
looking
good
for
being
on
track
for
starting
with
our
fiscal
sponsorship
agreement
around
January
1st.
A
So
that's
what
I'm
planning
on
with
that
such
I'm
moving
forward
now
in
the
world
of
act
up
community,
we
have
a
new
contributor
I'd
like
to
thank
yarn,
has
created
a
new
module
for
backdrop
called
Buick
which
L,
as
provides
a
block
that
you
can
can,
can
configure
and
has
also
imported
more
excitingly,
the
WordPress
import
module.
So
if
you're
planning
on
moving
to
backdrop
from
WordPress,
there's
now
a
tool
that
will
let
you
migrate,
all
of
your
existing
WordPress
content
over
and
even
has
support
for
multilingual
content.
A
So
if
you
had
your
site
translated
in
WordPress
using
there's
a
specific
plug-in
called
Stella
press
that
allows
translation
of
WordPress,
those
translations
also
come
over.
In
fact
up
as
well.
So
I
wanted
to
give
a
shout
out
to
yarn
for
doing
all
of
that
work
on
getting
those
projects
ready
for
backup
and
using
them
and
moving
to
backup
with
them.
So
I'm
particularly
excited
about
that
I'm.
Looking
at
the
module,
maintainer
application,
hopefully
we'll
get
that
squirtle
if
I
wait
later
today,
so
welcome
Buuren
and
thanks
for
all
of
your
amazing
work.
A
Speaking
of
new
projects,
there's
been
a
bunch
of
releases
in
the
last
week
in
particular,
there's
some
big
ones
like
geolocation,
which
came
out,
which
I
think
was
a
collaboration
between
Opie
who
I
think
did
the
majority
of
the
initial
work
and
then
I
know
there's
a
bunch
of
other
people
who
are
using
it
now,
which
is
also
great
and
taxonomy
field
formatter,
which
is
something
that
I
would
really
like
to
see
moved
to
core.
It's
a
feature
that
was
interval,
six
that
was
missing
from
Drupal
7.
A
A
Thank
you
for
OB
again
for
porting
that
one
I
know
I'm
gonna,
use
it
a
lot
and
then
there's
another
module
called
our
RSS
B,
which
is
the
ridiculously
responsive
social
share
button
module
that
learn
is
ceasing
on
some
of
his
projects.
That's
also
got
important,
so
that
has
a
stable
release
and
is
out
now
as
well.
I
think
it
might
have
been
a
release
before
now,
but
that's
the
first
time
I've
seen
it
on
the
modules
page,
so
I
think
so
I'm,
forgetting
that
one
out,
okay,
other
stuff,
were
working
on
backdrop.
A
That's
going
to
make
it
a
really
fancy
forum,
so
I
think
we're
planning
on
that
being
done
around
November
15th,
which
is
pretty
soon
so
it
would
encourage
anyone
who
hasn't
visited
the
forum
lately
to
head
over
there.
create
a
post,
see
what
it's
like
and
if
you
have
any
feedback,
that
would
be
time
to
voice
it.
We're
planning
on
sending
a
newsletter
around
November
15th
to
our
mailing
list,
and
we
want
to
announce
that
the
forum
is
available
at
that
time.
A
Also,
there's
a
follow
up
issue,
I'm,
just
gonna
jump
to
really
quickly.
Another
thing
we
want
to
announce,
along
with
the
forum
is
a
survey
that
we
want
to
give
to
all
the
people
on
the
mailing
list
to
ask
them
what
they
think
is
needed
most
her
backdrop
right
now,
so
we're
gonna
say:
hey.
We
heard
that
you
guys
wanted
a
forum,
here's
a
forum
tada.
What
else
do
you
want
from
us?
And
we
have
some
survey
questions
right
now
in
issue
number
4:30.
A
In
the
backdrop,
CMS
org
queue
that
has
some
sample
questions
for
that
survey.
So
if
you
guys
have
a
chance,
I'm
gonna
push
this
link
in
get
er
right
now,
look
over
those
questions
and
see
if
there's
anything,
we're
missing.
I
know:
we've
got
some
great
feedback
there
from
Alex.
A
Just
have
a
look
at
that
and
make
sure
that
we're
hitting
on
the
questions
that
we
want
to
know
in
terms
of
who
our
users
are.
Are
they
adopting
backdrop
now?
If
not,
why
not?
If
so,
what
have
they
done
with
it
just
kind
of
figure
out
what
it
is
they
need?
Do
you
need
to
see
more
modules?
For
the
backdrop,
you
need
to
see
more
sites
running
on
backdrop.
Do
you
need
more
of
your
friends
to
tell
you
they
are
using
it
just
kind
of
to
figure
out
what
what
it
is.
A
A
Okay,
that's
all
I
have
Nate.
Do
you
want
to
talk
about
doctor
CMS
itself,
yeah.
B
Of
course,
so
it
seems
like
it's
not
too
surprising.
We've
hit
a
little
bit
of
a
lull
here
in
core
development
land
weight.
The
items
that
I'd
like
to
call
out
as
in
every
week
here
at
Cross
ports
from
Drupal
and
we've
got
four
issues
dealing
with
cross
boards
from
7.50
up
to
7.56
and
all
of
those
have
pull
requests
that
are
in
a
state
of
needs
work.
B
Okay,
so
no
no
real
news
on
that
since,
since
last
week
one
point
8.1,
we
still
don't
have
any
issues
that
would
necessitate
the
release
of
one
point,
eight
point,
one,
so
no
real
major
items
there.
There
are
a
good
looks
like
about
ten
issues
that
are
in
the
needs:
review
queue,
none
that
are
are
TBC,
and
so
one
thing
that
we
can
do
to
push
things
along
is
review
the
nature.
B
1.9
1.9
will
be
coming
that
January
15th
2008
team
and
the
main
item
that
we
have
slated
for
the
1.9
release
is
improvements
to
media
handling.
Media
handling
has
a
major
meta
issue
at
issue.
1448
that
lists
all
the
things
we
would
like
to
do
to
enhance
media
functionality
and
the
item
that
we're
working
on
and
the
most
immediate
feature
is
issued.
27
96,
which
is
the
ability
to
edit
an
existing
file,
I
feel
like
I,
should
change
that
here
in
the
agenda,
because
we
have
overcome
our
terminology
problem
in
that
issue.
B
It
seems
and
that
edit
was
a
word
that
was
causing
consternation,
because
people
thought
that
meant
you
could
actually
edit
the
image
or
edit
a
PDF
or
edit
the
actual
file,
not
the
metadata
around
the
file,
and
so
we've
settled
them.
The
almost
obvious
word
of
just
manage
so
when,
when
you're,
looking
at
a
listing
of
files,
you'll
have
the
ability
to
delete
the
file
or
manage
the
file,
and
that
includes
replacing
what
the
file
actually
is
and
eventually
will
probably
deal
with
having
custom
fields
on
that
file
entity.
B
So
that's
great
I
think
that
kind
of
that
small
little
hurdle
had
been
blocking
us
for
a
little
while
so
I
feel
good
that
we
have
consensus
on
terminology
there
and
that
should
enable
us
to
pull
that
one
into
completion,
hopefully,
and
that
all
that
we
really
need
to
do
at
this
point
is
at
an
upgrade
path
again
and
update
the
terminology
and
I
think
that
we're
set
so
right.
Yes,
yeah
an
upgrade
path
that
edits
the
view
for
managing
files.
B
After
those
issues
we'd
like
to
make
file
entities
field
of
all
which
is
issued
26:32,
that
pull
request
is
in
great
shape,
but
honestly
it
needs
to
be
pared
down
a
little
bit.
So
it's
actually
just
got
a
little
bit
too
much
going
on
in
there,
but
the
basics
of
the
code
are
in
really
great
shape
and
it's
a
it's
a
really
great
port
that
how
scoff
made
quite
a
while
ago.
B
So
we
have
an
excellent
start
on
that
one
and
then
it's
then
issue
26
33,
which
is
the
ability
to
upload
a
file
independently
of
other
types
of
content,
and
that
one
is
in
needs
work
state
that
we
probably
need
to
get
the
other
ones
knocked
out
before
we
proceed
on
to
that
one.
So
those
are
the
main
items
that
we
have
focus
on
for
1.9,
not
a
whole
lot
to
a
report
on
since
last
week,
but
it
is
great
that
we
are
now
able
to
move
forward
again
on
them.
B
B
A
Well,
thanks
everybody
for
coming
and
participating
in
things,
those
of
you
who
are
watching
now
and
thanks
to
those
we
will
watch
later,
we
are
going
to
have
a
meeting
next
week
and
then
two
weeks
from
now
is
Thanksgiving
and
I
wanted
to
ask
if
any
one
who
normally
attends
these
meetings
would
be
interested
in
leading
the
meeting
on
Thanksgiving.
The
answer
that
question
is
no.
A
We
will
probably
cancel
that
meeting
Thanksgiving
here
in
the
u.s.,
so
I
would
say
ping
me
in
gear
or
let
us
know,
on
Twitter,
if
you're
interested
in
running
the
meeting,
there's
documentation
on
how
to
do
it
and
we
try
and
set
up
everything
ahead
of
time,
so
we're
trying
to
make
it
as
easy
as
possible,
but
yeah,
let's
see
if
we
want
to
do
that
meeting
or
not
all
right
thanks.
Everyone,
okay,.
