From YouTube: Backdrop CMS weekly check-in 4/16
Description
Check in on current core development priorities for Backdrop CMS
A
Hey
it
is
Thursday
April,
sixteenth,
every
Thursday.
Here's
back
updates
we're
very
excited
about
that.
We're
just
going
to
do
a
quick
check
in
on
all
of
the
things
that
core
needs
to
be
working
on
and
the
infrastructure
that
we're
working
on
around
backdrop
CMS
since
last
week,
there's
not
a
lot
different
in
terms
of
updates
from
the
PMC.
We
still
have
phpstorm
licenses
for
backdrop
contributors.
A
So
if
you
are
a
member
of
the
backdrop
can
drip
group,
you
can
email
info
a
backdrop
CMS
org
and
we
will
send
you
a
can
license
for
using
PHP.
I
think
is
good
until
next
February's
on
stuff-
and
let
us
know
you
know
if
you're
not
part
of
a
backdrop
kinship
group,
but
you
want
to
be
you're
working
on
something
you're
not
there.
Yet
we
can
find
some
way
to
help
get
you
through
that
process.
A
If
you
need
the
phpstorm
license,
so
email
factor
info
the
factor
CMS
network
in
terms
of
our
community
growth,
we
currently
have
33,
contributed
authors.
So
33
members
in
that
batch
of
kinship
group
with
one
new
1
billion
since
last
week,
which
is
great,
and
we
now
have
104
total
projects,
ported
to
vector
CMS
I'm,
one
new
one
since
last
week,
so
I
think
it's
good
we're
still
getting
you
know.
Incrementally
more
projects.
I
would
love
to
see
the
websites.
People
are
actually
building.
A
But
when
these
are
you
know,
people
I'm
assuming
need
these
modules
for
something
modules
and
themes
and
layout.
So
let
us
know
when
those
are
up
you
can
like
tweet
at
the
CMS
or
you
can
e-mail
or
you
can
put
an
IRC
but
yeah,
let
us
know-
or
it
will
eventually
build
a
showcase
for
for
those
to
get
see
any,
but
we
are
getting
asked
a
lot
like
what
are
people.
You
know
what
sites
are
running
backdrop
and
it's
like
we
don't
know
yet.
So
let
us
know
let
us
get
up.
A
Those
a
man
with
a
wood
for
Drupal
and
there's
actually
a
pretty
good
vision
of
one
as
a
starting
point
in
that
Mike
at
Cal
box
had
done
when
he
was
getting
dressed
working
on
backdrop
in
the
kallah
box
instance-
and
we
were
talking
to
Mike
last
night
about
where
that
he
said
that
it
might
be
even
better.
We
could
find
a
better
way
to
do
it.
The
version
he
just
kind
of
hack
together
just
get
Josh
working.
So
it's
good
that
it's
working.
A
We
have
better
way
we
could
handle
by
including
the
Drupal's
7
boot
class
in
the
Triple
DES
Inc
backwards,
compatibility
layer,
that's
in
backdrop
and
then
overriding
it,
our
josh
implementation.
So
if
someone
wants
to
take
that
on,
it
sounds
like
a
lot
of
fun,
you
really
love
Josh.
You
want
to
play
with
it.
There's
definitely
different
approach.
Solving
that
problem,
a
short-term
getting
it
done,
is
totally
fine.
That's
what
Mike
aimed
to
do
and
I
think
you
know
getting
it
a
working
version.
A
More
importantly,
something
perfect,
and
we
can
talk
about
different
ways
to
do
that
and
then
long
term
I
think
doing
it.
The
clean
way
would
also
be
a
great
idea,
so
Celeste
on
and
the
best
way
to
move
forward.
That
would
be
fantastic.
I
would
love
it
that
if
a
when
backdrop,
1.1
start
telling
people
that
Josh
was
working
with
backdrop
rather
than
telling
people
that
Josh
could
be
working
with
good
job
or
depending
on,
if
you
hack
it
together,
you
can
get
judge
or
jingle
back
job.
A
I
also
think
that
the
josh
integration
is
a
blocker
for
getting
the
backdrop
on
1-click
install
on
pantheon.
When
you
login
to
pin
down
you
go,
create
a
website
right
now.
It
recommends
triple
and
WordPress,
and
a
couple
of
Drupal
distributions
that
strap
install
us,
we
can
get
Josh
working
josh
is
what
makes
pantheons
dashboard
work.
So
if
you
wanted
to
do
things
like
clear
all
your
caches
from
the
dashboard
dashboard,
and
so
if
we
can
get
dressed
new
creation
working,
then
backdrop
will
be
available
for
everyone
using
Pantheon.
A
Not
just
people
who
understand
you
know,
go
to
backdrops
the
emotive
backdrop
zoom,
and
then
you
can
have
it
that
way,
and
so
I
think
that
would
be
something
to
think
about
too
is
putting
that
forward.
So
we
could
make
a
big
kind
of
splash
with
11,
where
we
could
say
you
pantheon
or
you
know,
josh
is
working
with
it
and
everyone
will
be
happy,
so
that's
kind
of
where
things
stand
with
Josh.
A
If
we
want
anyone
to
pick
that
up
and
run
with
it,
that
would
be
fantastic,
and
the
next
item
on
our
list
is
update.
Jacking
for
backed
up
CMS
and
I'm
going
to
defer
to
me
on
this
one
because
he's
been
so
much
amazing
work
on
getting
updates
around
and
then
you
guys
don't
have
to
see
my
Wiggly
spot
anymore.
A
B
Update
status
and
and
oh
man,
all
of
this
stuff,
it's
all
tied
together,
so
update,
checking
our
project
repository
on
back
job
CMS,
org
and
usage
statistics
are
all
tied
together
in
inside
of
projects
module
on
drupal.org
and
what
we're
doing
is
reported
projects
module
to
some
substantial
changes
because
backdrop,
we
obviously
use
github
for
all
of
our
issue:
queue,
management
and
poor
work,
and
things
like
that,
and
so
we've
integrated
a
project
module
with
github
to
make
it
so
that
most
shocking
to
backdrop,
CMS
org,
as
you
issue
number
eight,
is
the
primary
kind
of
met
issue
for
for
all
of
this
discussion
and
there's
been
some
updates
there.
B
B
So
from
our
standpoint,
what
would
be
really
beneficial
would
be
if
all
of
our
contributors
started
creating
official
releases
and
the
copies
of
these
modules,
so
that
when
the
updates
dentist
starts
reporting
that
people
will
be
notified
when
there's
a
new
version
of
those
modules
available,
because
right
now,
if
you're
running
a
Denver
in
between
a
module
and
a
project
on
backdrop,
CMS
org.
So
anyway,
we're
making
huge
strides.
B
There
I
think
that
will
probably
have
that
on
the
site,
probably
just
exciting
and
that
initially
we'll
probably
just
use
to
a
bunch
of
releases
and
projects
on
backdrop,
CMS
torg,
so
we'll
have
the
project
on
backdrop,
CMS
dot
org,
probably
by
next
week,
but
we
probably
won't
actually
public
suppose
that
in
the
primary
navigation,
until
first
of
all,
more
projects
are
have
official
releases.
So
let's
say
we
have
like
20
or
30
projects
before
vol.
We
have
designs
coming
in
from
Darius.
Just
style
repository
should
look
like
on
by
truck
semester
dork.
B
A
A
Yay
I'm
really
excited
about
getting
getting
up.
Checking
me
Gunny
got
working
last
week
and
you
started
having
like
a
little
celebration.
He
was
like
I
gotta
work.
The
cooking
and
I
was
fighting
some
stupid
horrible
Drupal
core
bug
and
they
couldn't
be.
Then.
The
next
day
we
were
talking
about,
I
got
really
excited
and
like
I'm.
So
sorry
I
couldn't
be
excited
about
that.
Yesterday's
just
yellow
jelly
horrible
so
anyway,
yeah
excitement
for
all
other
things
that
were
working
on
right
now.
A
We
obviously
talked
about
getting
my
own
themes
on
backdrop:
CLC
MSMS
org.
We
have
a
design
or
the
find
a
module
theme
layout
page
that
we
need
to
implement
we're
also
working
on
a
design
for
the
model
page
itself.
We
looked
at
all
of
the
information
that
San
true
pork.
We
also
looked
at
what
Ruby
on
Rails
is
doing
with
their
plugins.
We
lift
up
a
wordpress
is
doing
with
their
plugins
we're
trying
to
take
the
best
from
all
of
them.
A
Also,
with
the
caveat
that
we
may
not
have
all
of
that
information,
yet
like
number
of
downloads
or
not
tracking,
that
yet,
but
we
have
a
place
for
it
on
our
site,
should
we
start
collecting
that
data,
so
that
will
start
coming
together
soon
as
well,
which
is
super,
exciting
thing?
Okay,
so
let's
talk
about
backdrop
itself,
I
think
our
infrastructure
is
coming
together
really
nicely.
So
we
have
a
1
point,
0
points
6,
which
is
our
next
patch
release
that
were
working
on
and
that's
going
to
include.
A
You
know
a
couple
of
tiny
bug
fix.
More
importantly,
all
of
the
recent
commits
that
were
in
the
latest
release
of
Drupal,
7
and
I
saw
a
ton
of
work
happening
on
that
already
in
the
issue,
keep
think
who
everyone
who's
worked
on
that
and
as
soon
as
we
get
those
changes
done,
we
can
probably
release
10
secs
whenever
we
want
so
I.
A
Don't
know
that
now
that
we
have
any
urgency
on
that,
because
none
of
those
are
super
high
priority
but
I
think,
like
you
know,
it's
been
a
while,
since
the
last
version
came
out,
we'll
probably
those
updates
into
the
current
version
of
backdrop
whenever
they're
ready
so
we'll
just
keep
an
eye
on
that
in
terms
of
don't
have
any.
You
know
hugely
important
bugs
in
the
queue
that
we're
currently
like
trying
to
get
fixed
as
soon
as
possible,
so
we
can
get
them
out,
which
is
good.
A
We
might
find
one
in
the
near
future,
but
for
now
it's
just
kind
of
fix
things
that
bother
you,
which
I
think
is
good.
Our
next
minor
release
1.1
is
going
to
come
out
on
and
we've
got
a
lot
of
things
that
we're
working
on
in
that
that
include
a
built-in
token
module
built
in
pasado
module
and
the
administration
look
and
feel-
and
at
this
point
I'm
pretty
confident
we're
not
gonna
get
a
rich
text
editor
in
coeur
by
11.
A
A
Still
within
the
realm
of
possibility
of
us
getting
those
two
so
sad,
but
you
know
that's
that's
where
we
are
so
yeah.
B
Meet
yeah
that
probably
just
means
that
editor
module
for
that
came
over
from
Drupal
7
for
backdrop
and
we're
like
oh
well,
that's
kind
of
too
bad,
because
we
don't
really
want
a
contribute.
Now,
I,
guess
it's
a
good
thing.
We
have
one
because
that's
probably
what
people
are
going
to
be
using
for
the
time
being,
there's
still
an
option
out
for
everyone
that
needs
a
WYSIWYG
which
is
most
people.
A
All
right,
so,
in
terms
of
11
token,
module
is
almost
done.
It
is
mostly
working.
I've
got
a
couple
of
tests
that
still
still
aren't
quite
passing
and
as
soon
as
I
get
those
passing
and
kick
it
up
to
me
and
see
if
he
has
any
instant
bad
reactions
to
any
of
more
cuz
I've
done
in
terms
of
implementing
the
tokens.
A
Don't
know
we're
right
here,
Jeff
if
you've
done
any
work
on
that,
but
knee
is
going
to
be
wrapping
up
all
the
work
he's
doing
on
the
burgeoning
packaging
update
status,
stuff
that
we've
been
doing
pretty
soon
and
he
was
thinking
about
changing
gears
to
start
working,
auto
integration.
If
you
need
some
help
with
that.
C
It
was
working,
I
swear
and
it
responds
to
the
bookends
and
saves
the
forum
and
I
had
it
I,
don't
know
what
I
did
but
I
made
some
progress.
Having.
A
An
working
once
is
good,
because
that
means
all
you
have
to
do
is
figure
out
why
it
stopped
working,
which
is
definitely
much
easier
than
trying
to
get
it
working
in
the
first
place.
That's
fabulous,
I!
Think
that's
good.
If
you
I,
don't
know
where
your
work
is.
If
you
want
to
push
up
of
something
somewhere
into
some
repository
that
we
can
help
with
maybe,
but
maybe
it's
time
to
just
do
some
review
on
it
and
maybe
in
the
process
of
doing
that,
review
will
find
whatever
it
is,
that
made
it
stopped.
A
Work
on
it,
that
is
absolutely
fabulous.
Okay,
so
tokens
almost
done
sounds
like
pasado
is
almost
done,
so
we're
totally
on
tracks
to
the
branded
admin,
look
and
feel
we
have
a
bunch
of
designs,
I'm,
not
sure
if
all
of
those
designs
are
currently
unblocked
day
as
well
and
see
if
we
need
to
get
you
know,
designer
feedback,
I
think
for
some
of
them.
What
we
might
do
is
just
say
you
know
implement.
A
This
is,
and
we
can
iterate
later,
if
we
don't
like
the
design,
but
I
think
it
would
be
more
important
just
to
get
something
done
that
matches
our
aesthetics
of
the
new
front.
End
theme
so
I'll
review
all
the
back.
End
theme
I'll
review
all
of
those
and
see
where
we're
at
with
us
today
and
then
I
know,
there's
been
kind
of
a
slow
down,
mostly
because
Wes
got
busy
last
few
weeks,
but
actually
implementing
that
stuff.
A
The
the
these
administrative
changes,
not
all
of
them
are
super,
so
I
think
it
would
be
good
place
for
someone
who's
novice
to
jump
in
a
lot
of
them
are
just
changing
CSS.
Some
of
them
involve
changing
markup
and
some
other
stuff,
which
is
a
little
trickier.
Do
you
have
someone
who
is
a
really
good
on
the
front
end
and
wants
to
work
on
our
administrative
theme?
That's
a
great
place
to
jump
in
it's
a
super
important.
A
We
want
backdrop
to
start
feeling
like
a
different
product
from
Drupal
being
able
to
do
that
in
11.
I
think
is
good.
The
sooner
the
better,
so
I
would
love
to
see
that
move
forward.
I've
got
a
bunch
of
stuff
on
my
plate
that
should
anything
I
disappear.
It's
probably
where
I'm
going
to
work
too,
like
after
token,
so
hopefully
we'll
be
able
to
get
all
this
done,
stuff
done
and
perfect
by
11.
If
not
perfect,
let's
just
get
it
done.
We
can
work
on
perfect
later.
A
Okay,
so,
let's
see,
we've
got
obviously
a
bunch
of
other
stuff,
we're
always
working
on
improving
user
experience,
improving
developer
experience
any
bugs
that
come
up,
we'll
fix
and
get
in
when
we
can
upcoming
we
after
this
meeting
in
IRC.
So
if
you
are
able
to
join
that's
a
good
place
to
do
it,
that
I
are
sent
from
the
backdrop
community
is
often
in
there,
even
if
they're
not
able
to
actually
spend
time
working
on
backdrop.
A
So
it's
good
questions
and
then,
if
you
can
get
any
time
from
your
office
or
from
your
cell
phone
you're
self-employed
to
work
on
back
job
there's,
this
is
a
great
day
to
do
it,
because
it's
a
good
time
to
get
on
some
resources
working
on
other
stuff.
At
the
same
time,
just
as
handy
we
have
a
reddit.
If
IRC,
isn't
your
thing?
Isn't
your
thing?
It's
a
reddit
com,
/,
r,
/
back
so
for
a
different
kind
of
nerdiness,
and
that's
also
good
place
forum.
A
Where
you
can
ask
people's
opinions
on
things,
you
can
do
compare
contrast
of
different
themes
or
modules,
or
you
know,
different
approaches
for
handling
things
like
a
miniature
configuration
files
and
get
all
of
that
stuff.
You
know
good
conversations
happen
there
and
there
are
people
in
the
reddit
who
can
ping
people
who
have
answers.
Those
people
aren't
also
in
the
reddit,
so
I
think
it's
a
pretty
good
place
to
facilitate
a
conversation
that
can
happen
a
little
slower.
A
You
don't
need
to
be
watching
a
channel
all
time
and
a
couple
of
events
on
our
backdrop,
calendars
as
well
I,
don't
think
we
have
any
Sprint's
scheduled
right
now,
but
we
have
a
calendar
feed
in
google
calendar
which
lifts
to
one
of
them.
That's
just
these
weekly
meetings,
just
a
little
less
exciting.
The
other
one
is
a
backdrop
friendly
events
which
right
now
our
Drupal
camps,
mostly
that
are
open
to
hearing
about
backdrop
in
supporting
backdrop
in
various
different
ways,
and
so
we've
got
a
book
new
events
on
the
calendar.
A
Since
last
time
we
have
drupalcamp
colorado,
which
is
coming
up
in
June.
We
have
a
twin
sick
aunt,
which
is
like
two
weeks
later,
also
in
June
and
then
I
think
we've
it
I
think
that
might
be
it
until
a
bad
camp
which
November
and
just
you
guys
know
at
that
camp.
We
are
trying
to
do
a
backdrop
day
like
something
kind
of
like
a
summit
like
a
front-end
summit
or
a
product.
A
Some
well
it'll,
be
backdrop
focused
and
that'll,
be
on
the
Thursday,
which
is
the
first
day
of
bad
camp
and
will,
of
course,
depending
venue
and
all
that
stuff
too,
but
it
does
look
like
that
camp
surprisingly
enough
is
very
open.
I
know
backdrop
lament
and
so
I
thought
that
might
be
kind
of
a
fun
place
for
us
to
make
it
kind
of
you
know
it's
part
of
a
Drupal,
but
it
could
be
our
own
thing
for
the
first
time
and
I'm
definitely
open
into
hearing
what
people
might
want
to
do.
A
As
part
of
that
event,
obviously
having
a
core
print
would
be
super
handy
for
us.
We
could
help
work
on.
You
know
getting
some
more
features
and
if
we
wanted
to
do
that,
but
also
I
think
I
haven't
just
having
a
place
for
our
to
come
together
could
be
super
useful
to
where
we
haven't.
You
know
had
that
yet
so
open
to
ideas
for
how
to
make
that
happen.
A
We've
got
a
couple
of
why
dog
articles
coming
out
in
the
next
version
on
backdrop
and
that
will
be
released
the
same
time
as
drupalcon,
so
we'll
be
good
to
get
your
feedback
on
those
as
well,
and
they
wrote
a
quick
faq
and
I
wrote
a
kind
of
a
more
detailed
like
what
your
code
will
look
like
in
a
backdrop
world
and
will
be
kind
of
fun
and
we're
going
to
be
doing
a
drupal
watchdog
off
of
meet
and
greet
at
drupalcon,
which
should
be
kind
of
interesting.
A
They
asked
us
if
we
wanted
to
do
something
formal,
really,
no,
no,
no
or
at
a
drupal
event.
Let's
not
do
anything
to
bat.
Jeffy
will
probably
just
be
handing
out
t-shirts
and
then,
at
the
end
of
drupal
con
on
that
Friday
night
Friday
is
going
to
be
the
15th.
That's
the
day,
we're
going
to
be
releasing
factor
up,
11
we're
going
to
do
a
little
backdrop.
Release
party
we've
Warlick,
checking
out
breweries
in
the
area
to
see.
If
we
can
reserve
some
official
space.
A
We've
got
a
dead
man
generously
offering
to
sponsor
some
beer
for
people
as
after
drupalcon.
So
most
people
will
leave,
but
if
anyone
wants
to
stay
in
town
over
the
weekend
anyway,
we'll
just
gonna
have
a
little
event.
Therefore,
for
backdrop,
folks
to
get
together
so
you're
coming
to
drupalcon,
let
on
your
calendar,
I
think
it'll
be
really
fun
just
to
kind
of
kind
of
meet.
Everyone
cheers
them
with
nothing
else.
So
that's
all
we
have
for
the
agenda
today
need
to
do
one
on
anything.
