From YouTube: Backdrop CMS Weekly - 3/20
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Sorry
I
started
too
early
good
afternoon
everybody.
This
is
Magic
weekly
call.
Today
we
have
some
very
exciting
news
which
will
get
you
a
little
bit
later
and
we
are
here
working
on
factor
of
CMS,
which
is
a
fork
of
Drupal.
We
would
like
to
thank
everybody
who's
watching
this
video
later
and
anyone
who
wants
to
join
in
there's
not
very
many
of
us
right
now.
But
if
you
come
later,
we
will
welcome
you
so
all
right.
A
What
why
are
we
doing
back
jack
and
there's
cos
that
comes
with
change,
and
we
think
that
not
all
of
the
Drupal
community
is
going
to
want
to
have
dinner
plate
and
we
want
to
make
sure
that
everybody
else
has
a
home.
We
also
want
to
make
the
existing
systems
easier,
easier
to
understand,
more
approachable
for
the
average
page,
V
hacker
and
primarily
very
similar
to
Drupal
7.
So
we
can
release
Drupal
8,
comparable
features
on
an
architecture
that
works
a
lot
like
drupal
7.
A
So
getting
all
of
the
same
bug
fixes
that
when
in
Drupal
7,
as
well
as
a
lot
of
similar
bug
fixes
as
to
what
in
when
it
went
into
Drupal,
8
and
other
bugs
that
we
find
along
the
way
to
also
need
to
be
fixed,
we'll
get
squashed,
as
we
can
do
that,
and
we
also
want
to
simplify
existing
systems
where
possible
and
because
we're
trying
to
keep
things
as
compatible
and
similar
to
triple
seven
as
possible.
That
won't
be
a
lot
of
them
and
we're
also
going
to
add
some
new
features.
A
And
again
this
will
be
addition
of
new
features
where
we're
not
going
to
be
breaking
api's.
So
our
timeline
for
backdrop,
we
would
like
to
release
back
up
one
point:
oh
this
summer,
which
hopefully
will
be
before
Drupal
8
we're
looking
currently
at
a
June
July
release
date
we're
going
to
come
up
with
an
actual
date
sometime
here
in
the
near
future,
and
then
we're
going
to
stick
to
it.
And
if
we
don't
get
something
done
by
that
release
date,
we
will
release
anyway,
and
we
will
get
it
done
later.
A
So
we'll
put
it
in
a
later
release-
hopefully
a
few
months
later
and
get
it
in.
So
we
have
a
couple
of
things
that
we're
working
on
that
are
release
blockers,
meaning
we
need
to
get
them
done
before
June
July.
The
first
one
is
a
security
updates,
so
all
of
the
security
releases
that
we
have
that
have
come
out
for
drupal
7,
that
there
are
solutions
for
we
need
to
get
those
salt
impact
drop.
It
would
be
silly
to
have
a
version
of
software
that
it
has
a
security
flaw.
A
That's
been
fixed
before
and
so
far
there
have
been
seven
security
updates
to
Drupal
7,
since
we
forked
we've
fixed
six
of
them,
the
last
one.
We
have
a
couple
of
different
options
for
a
fixed
for
it's
the
one
that
put
the
little
query
string
token
at
the
end
of
image
paths
and
a
broke
a
lot
of
contribs
one
in
27.
So
we're
looking
at
alternate
ways
to
fix
that
problem.
But
we
do
have
a
couple
of
solutions.
So
I
don't
think
that'll
prevent
us
from
releasing
on
time.
A
We
also
want
to
cross
port
as
many
bug
fixes
from
Drupal
7
into
backdrop
as
possible.
We
have
three
meta
issues:
we're
working
on
moving
off
these
patches
from
Drupal
7
over
we've
closed
one
of
them
since
last
week,
which
is
super
exciting
and
we're
working
on
two
more
we've
got
a
whole
bunch
of
pull
requests
in
the
q,
and
a
lot
of
them
are
really
straightforward.
Just
apply
directly,
and
some
of
them
need
a
little
bit
of
work.
A
I
guess
backdrop
is
a
little
bit
different
and
so
we're
going
to
get
those
all
done,
and
then
we're
also
going
to
look
at
the
master
list
of
every
commit.
That's
happened.
Is
your
blade
and
figure
out
how
many
of
those
we
want
to
put
him
back
drop
as
well,
so
obviously
bug
fixes
luana
have
solved.
Our
solutions
might
not
be
the
same
as
the
solutions
that
you
should
relate,
because
our
Prince
principles
differ
a
little
bit.
So
we
might
decide
to
take
different
approaches
to
solving
the
same
problem.
A
We
do
need
to
at
least
I
ball
that
list
and
figure
out
if
any
of
those
are
serious
enough
to
be
released,
blockers
or
not
so
the
reviewing
the
list
is
the
release
blocker,
but
not
necessarily
all
of
the
patches
getting
applied,
and
we
also
have
some
major
projects
we're
working
on
and
these
we'd
like
to
get
done
before
june
july.
First,
one
is
the
addition
of
a
config
management
system.
This
is
very
similar
to
the
config
management.
That's
in
Drupal
8.
A
We
currently
have
the
engine
in
core
and
we
have
a
bunch
of
conversions
underway.
We
do
need
some
help
with
these
conversions,
so
if
anyone
wants
to
play
with
cmi
as
it
will
exist
in
backdrop,
this
is
a
great
chance
for
you
to
get
your
feet
wet
and
just
kind
of
converting
systems
that
are
currently
storing
configurations
in
the
database
to
systems
that
store
configuration
files,
we're
also
working
on
getting
views
in
core
uses.
A
The
number
one
downloaded
module
for
drupal,
it's
something
that
sets
it
apart
from
all
the
other
content
management
systems
and
having,
in
course,
I'm
just
going
to
make
a
really
powerful
tool
right
out
of
box,
and
we
currently
have
the
system
subsystem
of
abuse
in
core
for
backdrop,
but
we're
working
again
on
conversions
so
anywhere
in
core
that
we
have
a
listing
of
stuff.
We
want
to
replace
that
listing
with
a
view
instead,
so
we've
got
a
meta
issue
with
a
bunch
of
stuff
there.
That
also
needs
to
be
converted.
If
you
want
to.
A
If
you
are
familiar
reviews,
it
just
have
some
cycles
to
spare.
We
could
use
your
cane
area
time
there
if
you
want
to
get
a
little
bit
deeper
and
there's
also
some
code.
We
need
to
write
for
adding
new
views,
bulk
operations
operations
and
that
sort
of
thing
and
most
excitingly
really
recently,
we've
been
working
on
a
new
blocks
and
layout
system.
So
this
is
to
solve
the
layout
problem
that
is
existed
in
Drupal
for
a
very
long
time.
We
are
putting
a
lightweight
version
of
panels
in
core
with
a
different
improved
user
interface.
A
A
B
B
A
Whenever
we
can
get
the
new
features
added
so
of
those
other
things,
we
have
a
set
of
user
experience,
improvements
which
I
think
is
super
important.
That
includes
was
it
we
get
a
drink
or
something
that
Drupal
8
has
and
something
we
definitely
need.
I
includes
a
new
administration
theme.
This
is
something
that
is
going
to
help
us
set
us
apart
from
Drupal
right
now
backdrop
looks
a
lot
like
drupal.
A
We
need
to
kind
of
say
or
something
different,
so
we're
going
to
redeem
it
on
the
administration
side
and
maybe
even
on
the
front
end
to,
but
that
might
take
more
time
and
the
new
administration
theme,
I
think
will
be
a
couple
of
quick
changes
will
be
okay,
so
excited
about
that
and
in
also
speaking
of
administration.
We
need
to
make
some
improvements
to
the
node.
Add
edit
form
there's
a
lot
of
really
great
stuff.
That's
gone
into
Drupal
8.
A
We
need
to
take
a
look
at
some
of
that
see
if
we
want
to
include
it
backdrop
as
well
and
similarly,
the
toolbar.
We
have
a
fancy,
responsive,
toolbar
interpolate,
and
we
want
a
better
one
in
backdrop.
So
better
than
what
we
have
now
we're
going
to
look
at
the
stuff
they've
done
and
see
if
we
can
include
any
of
that
or
if
we
want
to
do
something
different
and
we've
talked
about
the
idea
changing
some
of
the
terminology
and
backdrop
I've
created
a
meta
issue
for
that.
Oh,
we
can
have
some
discussions
around
terminology.
A
Let
me
just
give
you
stuff
to
do,
and
so
I've
got
a
lot
of
issues
that
are
ready.
They
talk
about
all
the
things
that
I'd
like
to
do
when
they
give
a
bunch
of
sub
issues
on
on
each
one,
so
like
consolidating
things
and
using
names
and
ways
that
make
sense
and
deleting
things
that
are
dumb,
so
I
don't
want
to
work
on
that
front
and
stuff.
We
do
now
have
lists
of
issues
where
you
can
be
valuable,
although
that
won't
be
priority
for
me.
A
Until
we
get
some
of
our
blockers
done,
there
is
at
least
kind
of
a
big
picture
there
of
what
we
would
like
to
do.
Just
a
good
start,
okay,
so
onto
the
exciting
news.
One
thing
that
we've
been
working
on
for
the
past
few
weeks
is
the
backdrop
CMS
org
primary
website:
we've
done
a
bunch
of
content
strategy,
wireframing
designing
and
now
we're.
Finally,
in
the
development
phase,
the
initial
release
is
going
to
be
really
straightforward.
A
Super
simple
and
we
hope
to
have
it
out
in
the
next
week
or
two
and
originally
we
were
shooting
for
an
april
first
launch
date,
but
we
thought
that
might
not
be
good
timing,
because
it's
not
really
a
joke
and
we
didn't
want
people
to
think
it
was
a
joke,
but
we're
looking
at
what
we
have
now.
We
think
that
we
might
even
be
able
to
release
sooner
than
that.
A
So
if
we
can
do
end
of
March
and
get
that
up
just
so
that
we
can
replace
the
manifesto,
which
is
now
a
little
bit
out
of
date
and
doesn't
quite
convey
the
right
message,
I
think
that'll
be
huge,
so
I
know
I've
talked
to
Luke
and
Michael
both
about
reading
some
of
our
content
and
maybe
helping
us
get
that
updated
and
we've
got
a
couple
of
pages.
Just
need
to
be
copied
over
from
github
pages
to
Drupal
pages.
So
if
anyone
wants
to
help
us
with
that,
that
website
should
be
online.
A
Today,
at
least
the
development
version
for
people
to
start
working
on
so
that'll
be
huge
and
then
I'm
super
excited
to
get
to
get
that
out.
So
yeah
we're
gonna
have
real
website
we're
gonna.
Have
you
know?
First
starters,
there's
not
a
lot
of
branding
there.
It's
really
just
about
information
this,
as
we
kind
of
figure
out
like
what
we're
doing
larger
picture
in
terms
of
you
know,
logo
and
a
something
cute,
we'll
put
it
on
there.
A
A
A
We
also
need
an
API
site
and
Luke
stepped
up
last
week
and
also
offered
to
lend
some
site
building
cycles
for
our
API
site,
so
we're
going
to
try
and
give
him
access
to
that
today
and
then
he'll
be
able
to
go
into
some
content,
site
content
types
and
views
and
stuff.
So
we
can
start
entering
change
records
which
I
think
also
be
super
super
helpful.
A
So
this
is
really
exciting,
so
we
were
doing
not
only
went
to
work
on
the
code
side,
but
now
all
of
our
like
peripheral
websites
are
starting
to
come
together.
So
super
exciting.
For
a
book
we
got
some
sprints
coming
up.
Obviously
every
Thursday
we're
in
IRC
working
on
backdrop
related
stuff.
You
can
join
us
in
IRC
and
talk
to
us.
A
There
nate
and
I
will
be
at
drupalcamp
mexico
in
april
and
we're
going
to
try
and
do
a
little
backdrop
sprint
there,
as
well
as
a
trip
to
go
view
teotihuacán
and
pyramids.
So
if
you
are
interested
in
the
vacation,
/
drupal
/
backdrop
event
could
be
really
fun
and
then
we're
also
going
to
be
keynoting
at
drupal
corn
in
iowa
the
summer
and
we're
going
to
try
and
organize
some
kind
of
official
in
person.
Backdrops
/
there
as
well,
so
unless
to
get
involved
and
is
waiting
to
do
it
in
person.
A
We
can
totally
do
that
this
summer
in
terms
of
publicity.
A
Let's
see
we
have
mid
camp,
which
is
next
week
in
Chicago
or
I,
know
Andy's
going
I'm,
not
sure
if
he's
giving
attack,
but
you
will
at
least
talk
to
people
that
backdrop,
which
is
good
NYC
camp
in
April,
Matt
Cheney
is
going
to
go
and
he's
going
to
talk
to
people
about
backdrop
for
us
there
we've
got
drupal
camp
Stanford
here
in
april
that
I'm
going
to
I'm
not
sure
I
mean,
if
you're
going
to
that
one
or
not,
but
we
can
definitely
talk
to
people
about
what
we're
doing.
A
I'm
not
sure
we
should
get
a
session
there,
but
can
definitely
do
some
chitchat
and
then
we
have
a
whole
bunch
of
other
conferences,
html5
developer
conference.
Again,
not
a
drupal
event,
but
it's
going
to
be
good
to
tell
them
about
backdrop.
A
So
if
anyone
wants
to
go
to
Ireland
and
can
afford
to
get
there
and
let's
talk
about
backdrop,
we
can
give
you
whatever
information
you
need,
which
will
be
good
and
then,
let's
see,
we've
got
drupalcon,
Austin
I
won't
be
there.
Nate
will
be
there
we're
not
doing
a
session
on
backdrop
just
because
it's
a
Drupal,
the
big
Drupal
that
won't
be
a
little
bit
respectful
of
stepping
on
toes.
A
But
we
will
of
course
be
talking
about
backdrop
at
after
hours
in
the
hallway,
all
that
good
kind
of
stuff
and
then
at
drupalcon,
Amsterdam
I'm,
not
sure
if
we
want
to
do
a
chocoberry
ether
and
then
bad
camp,
which
of
course
we
won't
get,
kicked
out
so
differently.
A
I'm,
someone
probably
do
a
session
at
vacuum.
We
might
even
be
able
to
figure
out
a
way
to
do
a
sprint,
but
we'll
see
okay,
and
then
we
have
an
article
coming
out
in
Drupal
watchdog
this
summer,
I
actually
have
a
to-do
list.
Today
we
submitted
our
first
issue
and
got
some
feedback.
It
needs
to
be
a
little
bit
more.
There
needs
to
be
more
of
the
y
in
the
story.
A
We
have
a
pretty
good
what
and
how
covered,
but
we
took
out
all
of
the
stuff
that
we
thought
would
make
people
grumpy,
and
we
realized
that
we
took
out,
though
you
know,
why
are
we
doing
this
I
answer
to
that
question
as
well?
So
that
means
a
little
reworking
but
I'll,
try
and
get
that
done
today.
A
So
keep
your
eye
out
for
the
drupal
8
edition
of
drupal
watchdog
for
kind
of
an
in-depth
article
of
what
the
heck
is
going
on
with
backdrop
which
would
be
pretty
fun
and
then
yeah
I
think
we
should
probably
also
try
and
schedule
some
more
podcasts
coming
up
like
when
we
have
something
that's
demo
bowl
and
something
that
people
can
go
and
look
at
and
try
out.
It
would
be
good
to
get
more
eyes
on
it
number
one.
A
Getting
feedback
is
good
number
to
letting
people
know
that,
like
this
is
legit
and
it's
a
you
know
you
can
use
it.
It's
also
going
to
be
really
good.
I
know
we
have
a
couple
of
user
groups
coming
up
to
that.
Aren't
on
this
list.
We're
gonna
go
to
sonoma
county
next
week.
It
might
be
in
jury
duty,
but
I'm
definitely
up
there,
and
then
we
have
a
another
one
in
in
the
east
bay,
drupal
meetup
and
one
in
the
Reno
Nevada.
A
You,
your
group
as
well,
so
we're
going
to
try
and
just
kind
of
talk
to
the
man
straight
here
and
see
how
people
are
feeling
about
things.
Now
that
we
have
a
little
more
history
behind
us,
a
better
plan
for
a
future
and
a
product
and
coming
up
pretty
soon
product
release,
so
I'm
super
excited
about
all
the
stuff.
We're
working
on
every
day.
Talk
about
it
then
I
got
motivated
to
work
on
it
then
I
realized.
I
have
like
laundry
to
do
or
taxes
to
file
other
stuff.
A
B
I,
don't
I,
don't
think
so.
I
mean
I'm
gonna
be
plowing
through
on
on
layout
stuff,
trying
to
move
that
forward.
Don't
really
have
anything!
That's
usable
yet
like
we
have
a
UI
that
you
can
set
up
a
layout
and
it
saves
in
to
see
mi,
but
there's
an
actually
function
yet
so
as
soon
as
that's
that's
useful
I'll,
be
updating
the
issue.
Okay,.
A
Okay,
well,
thank
you
for
watching
whoever
you
are
and
we
will
be
in
IRC
getting
stuff
done
this
afternoon.
So
yeah
I'm
week,
everyone
bye.
