Description
County Executive Jim Smith briefs BcUpfront on a busy day in Baltimore County.
Blue ribbon celebration, MLK Commemoration, and Ravens Pep Ralley.
A
B
Was
another
great
day
in
Baltimore
County
started
out
at
Eastern
Technical
High
School
to
celebrate
Eastern
tech
being
named
the
only
luberon
blue
ribbon
high
school
in
the
state
of
Maryland,
and
now
they'll
go
on
to
the
Nationals
I
mean
it
was
just
a
great
day.
The
kids
were,
the
auditorium,
actually
was
a
gymnasium,
it
was
packed
and
dr.
Grasmick
was
there
dr.
Hairston.
It
was
just
a
terrific
day
and,
and
you
know
it
did
it's
a
school.
B
That
is
it's,
it's
academically
at
the
top
of
its
game,
but
it
also
the
the
concert
band
played
and
they
were
wonderful
and,
and
we
celebrated
in
the
gym
and
all
those
banners
and
and
just
the
regional
championships
that
they
won
this
year
and
in
volleyball
and
soccer
and
the
two
to
a
division
of
football.
They
won
the
state
championship,
so
I
mean
it
was
really
an
exciting.
Citing
morning.
Okay,.
A
B
B
We
had
speeches
and
we
had
a
wonderful
skit
and
song
by
the
colonial
baptist
christian
academy.
Students-
and
it
was
just
it
was
just
terrific.
Dr.
King,
would
have
been
proud
and
believe
me
I
was
proud.
So
that
was
the
second
day
then
I
raced
from
there
to
get
to
a
rally
and
in
in
towson
the
employees
have
been
going
purple
all
weekend.
B
We
decorated
doors,
we
had
21
offices,
participate
in
the
door,
decorating
contest
and
believe
me,
the
police
department
came
out
strong
and
they
won
three
of
the
categories,
including
the
grand
prize,
so
they
got
themselves
a
football
signed
by
John,
Harbaugh
everybody's
revved
up.
We
believe
we
can
do
it
and
we
are
anxious
to
get
out
on
that
field
on
Saturday
night
and
show
the
world
that
we
can
do
it,
and
it
was
just
a
great
rally.
Everybody
was
up.
It
was
just
fun.
