Absolutely
not
too
late.
You
can
sign
up
on
the
day
of
the
race
which
you
can
sign
up
on
sunday
october.
The
3rd
in
hunt
valley-
and
this
is
just
baltimore
county-
is
very
proud
to
be
hosting
the
race
for
the
cure
and
the
county
employees
who
who
work
not
just
when
they're
on
the
clock,
are
very
excited
about
this
race,
and
we
have.
Every
department
has
has
a
captain
and
there's
a
competition
within
baltimore
county
to
see
you
can
have
the
most
walkers
or
runners
and
who
can
raise
the
most
money?
C
It's
it's
just
such
an
important
effort.
Breast
cancer
is
one
of
the
biggest
killers
of
particularly
women,
but
it's
one
of
the
biggest
cancer
killers
and
maryland
is
a
very
high
incidence
of
breast
cancer.
I
think
it's
fifth
in
the
nation
with
respect
to
breast
cancer,
so
I
mean
this
is
something
we
care
deeply
about,
and
baltimore
county
employees
care
deeply
about
it
and
so
do
the
people
of
baltimore
county.
I
mean
we've
been
very,
very
honored
to
have
this
wonderful
event
in
our
community.
B
A
75
of
the
money
that
we
raise
in
in
our
service
area
stays
in
our
service
area
and
25
percent
of
it
goes
to
research
and
then
through
the
national
organization.
However,
in
the
state
of
maryland,
because
we
have
such
exemplary
institutions
here,
20
that
25
ends
up
coming
back
to
the
state
of
maryland
this
year,
2.5
2.6
million
is
going
to
be
at
johns
hopkins
university
and
the
university
of
maryland
so
100
of
the
money
that's
earned
in
maryland,
actually
stays
here
to
support
programs
that
are
specific
to
breast
cancer
and
breast
health.
