we,
the
announcement
is
that
recycling
has
now
been
made
much
easier
in
Baltimore
County,
because
you
can
put
out
everything
at
one
time
and
you
can
put
it
out
every
week.
Bottles
and
cans
and
paper
all
goes
and
at
this

the
same
pick
up
every
week
and
we're
hoping
that,
although
we've
done
a
great
job
since
1995
1.5
billion
tons
of
recyclables,
we
want
to
do
better.

Actually,
I'm
very
proud
of
our
residents
in
Baltimore
County,
because
we
are
the
leaders
in
the
state
in
terms
of
recycling
but
I
know
my
neighbor
does
not
recycle
presently
and
I.
Ask
why
and
they
said
well,
it's
just
such
a
hassle
to
divide
in
the
house,
the
bottles
and
the
can
separately.
With
this
new
single
stream
recycling
program.

now
will
recycle
I'm
sure
because
it
just
makes
it
that
much
more
convenient
and
what
we're
hoping
is
that
this
will
really
make
our
numbers
grow.
So
we
want
to
only
not
just
be
number
one
in
the
state
but
number
one
in
the
country
in
terms
of
consumer
recycling.
It's
a
great
thing
for
Baltimore
County
and
we
were
just
really
proud
of
our
residents.
It's
a
we're,
environmentally
conscious
and
saving
money.

the

Come
a
long
way
since
1991
when
I
was
on
the
original
task
force,
but
today
is
a
great
day
a
making
government
work.
It
saves
money,
saves
the
environment
and
is
more
convenient
for
residents.

a
trifecta
of
terrific
step
forward

I
want
to
congratulate
the
county
executive,
Jim
Smith
for
making
it
possible
for
Charlie
Rieger
for
the
great
job
he's
done
for
the
last
15
plus
years
running
the
recycling
program
in
Baltimore
County,
it's
good
for
residents,
good
for
the
environment
and
saves
money,
I
can't
think
of
anything
better.
