B
Well
as
we're
getting
as
we're
getting
settled,
we're
going
to
start
in
a
second
here,
so
we're
doing
is
make
sure
folks
are
where
you
want
them.
Are
you
good?
Okay,
if
you're
good
foreign.
B
Good
morning,
everyone-
oh
that's,
awesome.
I,
don't
have
to
do
it
a
second
time.
There's
a
lot
of
excitement
in
in
this
space,
and
we
were
here
not
too
long
ago
where
we
made
an
announcement
that
was
leading
to
today
and
I
am
thrilled
to
be
joined
by
so
many
partners
in
making
this
happen,
I
want
to
First
recognize
my
partners
at
the
local
level.
B
Council
chairman
Julian,
Jones,
councilman,
Izzy,
Patoka,
councilman,
Pat
young,
as
well
as
our
amazing
Partners
at
the
state
in
our
state
delegation,
The
Pride
of
Baltimore
County,
Speaker,
Adrian,
Jones,
Senator,
Charles,
sydnor
and
delegate
Alicia,
mccaskill,
I.
Think
delegate,
Sheila
Ruth
is
here
also
I
didn't
miss
anybody
else
right,
good,
we're,
also
thrilled
to
be
joined
by
our
department
of
aging
and
director
Laura
Reilly
facilities
and
capital
projects,
manager,
Lisa
Kennedy.
We've
got
Miss
Douglas
and
Senior
Center
Council
president,
currently
Patty
de
Lodge
and.
C
E
B
We
know
that
high
quality,
modern,
accessible
senior
facilities
is
absolutely
a
priority
and
for
too
long
the
over
thousand
members
here
at
Woodlawn
have
simply
not
been
served
adequately
by
the
space
you
all
currently
occupy,
and
so
we
were
thrilled
to
partner
with
the
state
to
find
a
way
to
put
6.7
million
dollars
together,
foreign
to
add,
almost
10
000
square
feet
of
Space,
modernizing
3
600
square
feet
of
space,
adding
a
new
fitness
center,
a
handicap,
accessible
bathrooms,
new
classrooms,
a
new
multi-purpose
room
for
events
and
pickleball,
and
a
new
parking
lot
with
50
spaces.
B
So
we
have
spaces
to
park
here.
We
know
that
the
center
has
remained
open
and
vibrant,
and
we
want
to
thank
our
friends
at
Morningstar
Baptist
Church,
for
giving
us
a
space
amen,
and
you
know
we
just
know
that
our
our
senior
centers
are
such
an
anchor.
That's
been
proven
throughout
the
pandemic
and
Beyond,
but
we
are
really
excited
to
give
you
all
a
place
to
prosper
and
to
continue
to
be
the
anchors
and
the
incredible
leaders
you
are
here
in
Woodlawn
and
across
Baltimore
County.
You
deserve
this.
Thank
you.
F
F
You
forget
that,
good
morning,
everyone
morning
this
is
a
great
day:
I'm
not
going
to
be
long
I'm,
not
going
to
repeat
what
the
county
executive
had
had
said
and
I'm
just
going
to
maybe
a
little
bit
repeating,
but
what
we
have
done
on
the
state
side,
Woodlawn
Senior,
Center
underwent
renovation
supported
by
supporting
we
supported
a
new
fitness
center,
spacing
support
expanded
health
programs
as
well
as
meal
preparation
and
districts
and
distribution,
distribution
services
and
upgrades
to
their
security
system.
F
F
F
Much
needed
we've
been
talking
about
it,
since
I
was
in
the
in
working
for
Baltimore
County,
so
so
time
is
now
and
we're
going
to
get
it
done.
It's
going
to
be
on
time
and
under
budget.
F
Rachel
we're
going
to
leave
you
out.
We
weren't
going
to
leave
you
out
that
means
come
over
here,
so
you
can
get
this
okay
all
right.
This
is
from
the
Maryland
General
Assembly
official
citation
a
good
kind
of
citation
everybody
known
to
all.
This
is
serious.
Congratulations
to
offered
to
Rachel
Driscoll
and
the
staff
of
the
Woodlawn
senior
center
in
recognition
of
the
groundbreaking
for
the
expansion
of
the
Woodlawn
Senior
Center.
F
F
A
G
Good
morning,
Woodlawn
look
when
I
first
ran
for
office
back
in
2014
I.
Remember
speaking
to
many
of
you
about
the
importance
of
this
Center
I
was
about
to
call
some
names,
but
I
was
just
sad
that
I
shouldn't,
because
I
may
forget
somebody
so
I'm
not
gonna
call
names,
but
you
certainly
all
know
who
you
are
to
see
this
finally
come
to
fruition.
G
A
few
years
later,
but
still
come
to,
fruition
is
a
blessing
and
something
that
that
is
said
earlier
is
is
deserved.
I
know
coming
here
on
numerous
occasions
watching
you
all
participating,
exercises
your
card
games
and
and
even
having
just
a
variety
of
speakers.
Just
talking
about
health
and
the
like
you
deserve
it.
G
I
look
forward
to
coming
once
we
see
this
ground
broken
the
renovations
added
to
and
look
forward
to
continue
advocating
on
your
behalf
and
as
I
said
earlier
to
one
of
the
members
in
the
crowd
continue
to
advocate
for
yourselves
the
louder
that
you
speak,
the
more
that
we
hear
the
more
we
can
have
ammunition
to
continue
pushing
for
you
all.
So.
Thank
you
all
coming
after
me
is
our
new
Delegate
for
district
44,
alethia
mccaskill.
H
H
I
am
so
excited
for
the
district
I'm
excited
for
our
seniors,
I'm
excited
even
for
myself,
because
I'll
soon
be
having
probably
to
use
the
same
Services
who
knows
I
am
so
excited
because
this
has
been
a
long
time
coming
and
progress
is
progress
and
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
the
state.
H
I
You
on
the
spot,
hi
hi,
everybody
I,
don't
really
have
anything
to
add
and
I
don't
want
to
take
up
your
time.
But
I
agree
that
this
is
an
exciting
day.
I
wanted
to
thank
the
county
executive
for
investing
in
our
community
and
investing
in
in
our
seniors
and
thank
the
leadership
of
our
our
own
Madam
speaker,
Adrian
Jones,
and
thank
you
all
for
your
advocacy.
H
J
Good
morning,
everyone
morning,
Julian
Jones
I,
don't
listen.
I,
don't
want
to
take
a
lot
of
your
time,
but
first
of
all,
I
just
want
to
say
what
a
wonderful
day
that
this
is,
and
let
me
also
just
take
an
opportunity
to
congratulate
each
and
every
one
of
you,
because
it
is
your
advocacy,
your
steadfast
advocacy
every
time.
J
So
thank
you
so
much
for
being
here
today
and
next
I'll
bring
councilman
Izzy
Patoka.
K
Thank
you,
chairman
Jones,
again
I'm
councilman,
Izzy,
Patoka
and
I'm,
so
excited
to
be
here
with
everyone
this
morning,
I
think
it's!
We
live
here
in
the
state
of
opportunity,
thanks
to
speaker,
Jones,
Senator,
Sid,
Noor
and
delegates
mccaskill
and
Ruth.
We
live
in
the
county
of
opportunity
thanks
to
county
executive
olshevski,
and
we
live
in
the
district
of
opportunity.
K
Thanks
to
three
council
members,
that
fight
every
day
for
this
area,
I
know
I'm
I'm,
a
strong
advocate
for
this
area
in
the
second
district
chairman
Jones,
has
always
been
an
advocate
for
this
area,
and
now
we
have
councilman
young,
so
I
think
we
have
a
trio
of
Fighters
for
the
Woodlawn
Village
for
the
Woodlawn,
Senior,
Center
and
I'm
delighted
to
be
a
part
of
that
group
and
I
would
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
also
acknowledge
all
of
the
Warriors
for
Woodlawn
Village.
D
C
Hi
everyone
I'm
councilman,
Pat
young,
everybody
already
said
what
I
was
going
to
say
all
right,
I,
don't
want
to
sound
like
a
broken
record,
but
I
will
say
that
I
will
repeat
some
of
the
comments
of
my
my
colleagues
and
friends
from
day,
one
after
being
elected
to
well
on
the
campaign
Trail
after
being
elected
the
house
of
delegates
with
now
Senator
Sid
Noor.
C
The
resounding
message
was:
we
need
a
larger
facility
to
meet
the
needs
and
to
meet
the
access
that
you
all
were
providing
and
were
using
at
the
center
I've,
never
seen
another
and
I
don't
want
to
like
just
speak
for
us,
but
in
terms
of
a
a
facility
you
all
used
every
inch
every
inch
and
that's
no
you're
right.
You
had
no
choice.
C
When
people
come
in,
you
find
a
space
for
them.
You
wouldn't
turn
anyone
away
and
you
welcomed
us.
You
welcomed
us
with
open
arms
to
your
events,
to
your
your
holidays,
to
the
changing
of
your
officers
over
and
over
again
and
because
of
that
and
the
relationships
that
we
build.
C
You
all
made
this
possible
and
I
congratulate
you
for
that
and
recognize
that.
Well,
I'll
say
this
again
as
I've
said
it
before
you
all
expected
more,
you
asked
for
more
and
together
we
will
continue
to
receive
more
for
Southwest
side
of
Baltimore
County.
Thank
you
for
all
of
your
work
on
this
and
with
that,
I
would
turn
this
over
to
director
Riley
ma'am.
D
Good
morning,
everyone
No
Greater
Joy
for
me
than
to
be
here
to
say
we're
growing.
Finally,
we
heard
you
loud
and
clear
and
I'm
so
excited
to
be
part
of
the
the
oshesky
team.
That's
bringing
this
to
you
today,
because
we
definitely
heard
you
I,
remember,
visiting
the
Golden
Age
Club
over
in
that
little
Stone
building
I.
Remember
the
nutrition
site
at
the
church.
You
all
came
together
and
created
a
wonderful
Senior,
Center
and
so
nothing
better
than
to
be
able
to
say
we're.
D
Gonna
we're
gonna
continue
to
grow
a
thousand
members
and
yes,
I
did
make
a
promise
that
you
will
become
a
regional
center
if
you
keep
growing
that
Center
that
membership,
so
we're
gonna
do
that.
That
means
you'll,
get
more
staff
and
a
couple
more
resources,
so
you're
growing
Jackie's,
not
here
but
I,
would
be
remiss
if
I
didn't
mention.
D
Jackie
Lofton
who's
been
your
director
up
until
this
point
Jackie,
because
she
did
such
great
work
for
you
was
promoted
to
be
the
director
at
the
Pikesville
Senior
Center,
and
so
we
moved
Rachel
over
from
Liberty
and
those
two
are
working
together
behind
the
scenes.
So
remember
Jackie's
still
here,
but
I
do
want
to
acknowledge
some
folks
who
have
been
behind
the
scenes
helping
too
and
I
want
to
bring
Patty
DeLoach
up
your
council
president,
who
has
a
few
words
to
share
with
you
on
your
behalf,.
H
E
E
Senior
Center
executive
board
I'm
so
excited
that
this
day
is
finally
here.
I
want
to
thank
the
county
executive,
Baltimore,
County
Department
of
Aging
elected
officials
for
this
long
overdue
project.
I
would
also
like
to
recognize
two
people
who
have
been
in
this
struggle
long
before
me
to
please
stand
and
give
them
a
round
of
applause.
This
is
Dolores
Douglas,
who
was
the
first
president
of
the
Woodlawn
Senior
Center
when
it
came
to
and
the
past
president
Charlene
Oliver,
they
yeah
they
both
should
be.
E
E
E
A
I
wish
I
could
be
formal
and
all
that,
but
I'm,
not
I
love
this
place,
I've
loved
it
from
the
beginning,
I
love
my
people
and
and
I
just
thank
you
so
much
when
I
say
promises
are
made
promises
cat.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
All
of
my
elected
officials,
my
elected
officials,
but
I
started
with
Jim
Smith
as
the
executive
officer
candidates
who
called
me
Mom.
A
Thank
you
so
much
you
didn't
get
to
know
as
well.
I
I,
just
love
you
all
so
much!
Please!
We
have
to
keep
growing.
We
need
I
want
to
be
here
for
the
groundbreaking
for
the
Regional
Center
Laura.
Thank
you
so
much.
Those
of
you
who
don't
know
me
I've
had
some
recent
health
issues.
You
can't
keep
a
good
woman
down.
A
A
Two
minutes
the
planning
board
always
said.
I
mentioned
the
planning
board.
Oh,
my
God,
the
patience
of
those
people
passing
listening
to
please
over
and
over
again
so
much
Thanks
goes
to
you
for
tolerating
us
and
and
everybody
I
love
everybody.
Thank
you.
