A
Welcome
back
to
hello,
Baltimore,
County,
I'm,
Ellen,
kobler
and
I'm
very
excited
about
our
next
segment.
If
you
love
the
Performing
Arts
and
would
like
to
take
the
opportunity
to
see
a
wonderful
theater
or
musical
production,
you'll
want
to
hear
about
what
the
community
college
of
baltimore
county
has
to
offer
here
to
tell
us
all
about.
It
is
an
lefter
director
of
Performing
Arts
from
our
very
own
CCBC.
Thank
you
so
much
for
joining
us
and
thank
you
for
having
me
I
appreciate
it.
A
B
Sounds
wonderful.
What
is
that?
Well,
we
are
celebrating
a
lot
of
anniversaries
this
year,
it's
the
40th
anniversary
of
our
main
producing
space,
which
is
the
main
stage
theater
at
CCBC
Essex.
It's
going
to
be
the
40th
season
of
cockpit
in
court
summer,
theater
the
longest-running
summer
theater
in
Maryland,
which
is
in
residence
at
Essex.
B
It's
the
30th
anniversary
season
of
the
Baltimore
symphonic
band,
which
is
our
community
band
which
tours
around
the
state
and
nationally
and
internationally,
and
it's
the
10th
anniversary
of
our
world
arts
festival,
which
used
to
be
the
world
dance
festival
and
all
those
numbers
turning
over
20
are
exciting
and
it
gives
us
an
opportunity
to
reflect
on.
You
know.
B
We
do
offering
everything
for
audiences
from
children
up
to
seniors
and
so
we're
celebrating
all
year
long
and
we're
going
to
culminate
the
year
with
the
college's
gala,
which
is
called
Bravo
a
curtain
call
for
the
Performing
Arts
and
that
will
take
place
in
April
and
it'll
highlight
all
of
our
performing
arts
programs.
Very.
A
B
A
B
For
seniors
the
director
Arnie
lindquist,
he
sits
on
the
board
of
senior
theater
USA.
They
go
to
the
senior
theater
us
a
festival.
Every
other
year
he's
contributed
a
chapter
to
a
book
on
producing
senior,
theater
and
I'd
love
to
tell
people.
Just
a
couple.
Years
ago,
in
the
same
year,
children's
playhouse
of
maryland
brought
home
the
outstanding
musical
theatre
production
trophy
from
the
junior
theater
festival,
uh-huh.
A
B
A
B
The
other
part
of
that
for
us
is
that
performing
arts
is
not
an
extracurricular
activity
at
CCBC
we're
one
of
two
community
colleges
in
the
state
to
provide
an
AFA
degree,
an
associate
of
Fine
Arts,
two
of
our
performing
arts
disciplines,
music
and
theatre,
are
nationally
accredited
soon
were
in
the
process
of
looking
for
accreditation
for
our
dance
program,
and
when
that
happens,
we'll
be
the
only
Community
College
in
the
nation
to
be
accredited
in
all
three
disciplines.
A
big
part
of
the
quality
of
that
is
that
our
faculty
are
all
practicing
artists,
really
yeah.
B
Our
music
students
get
to
study,
ear,
training
and
composition
with
the
musical
director
of
the
Annapolis
opera.
Oh
my
gosh.
We
have
two
national
award-winning
playwrights
on
our
faculty
in
theatre,
our
technical
theatre,
students,
work
with
professional
scenic
designers
and
lighting
designers
and
our
dance
faculty
have
toured
nationally
and
internationally.
One
of
them
still
has
his
own
dance
company
in
Washington
DC.
So
our
students
get
this
great
amount
of
time
one-on-one
in
the
studio
in
rehearsal
with
these
professional
artists
and
that
really
impacts
them.
A
B
A
Us
a
little
bit
about
some
of
your
your
former
CCB,
see
students.
B
B
B
A
B
Well,
to
find
out
more,
the
easiest
thing,
of
course,
is
to
go
to
our
website,
which
is
CCBC,
md
edu,
slash
performing
arts,
and
we
have
all
our
upcoming
events
there
and,
of
course
you
can
get
on
our
mailing
list
and
get
all
of
our
communication.
Plenty
of
people
want
to
talk
to
a
person.
That's
fine
call
our
box
office
either
Lisa
or
Tom
we'll
be
happy
to
help
you
on
the
box.
Office
number
is
44
3840
arts,
which
is
443
a
402
787
and
coming
up
through
the
rest
of
the
year.
B
B
Allowed
to
say
that
our
cabaret
shows
will
include
steel,
magnolias
and
a
wonderful
mystery
called
Laura.
It's
the
same
story
that
was
a
1940's
black
and
white
film
noir
and
our
children's
show
this
year.
The
great
thing
about
the
children's
theatre
at
cockpit
in
court
is,
we
include
anywhere
from
40
to
70
kids
every
summer
and
the
plan
right
now
is
that
we'll
be
doing
dr.
Dolittle?
Oh,
how
fun.
B
B
Well,
you
know
we
have
a
great
number
of
musical
ensembles
at
CCBC,
so
there'll
be
the
chamber
singers
to
a
spring
concert
every
year,
our
chamber
singers,
by
the
way,
our
fresh
back
from
their
trip
to
Carnegie
Hall
last
spring
and
what
sort
of
fun
our
Baltimore
symphonic
band
has
a
number
of
performances
throughout
the
spring
they
perform
mostly
in
the
community
at
Spring,
Grove
and
Waverly,
and
that's
because
it's
their
30th
anniversary,
they're
doing
a
number
of
performances
throughout
the
area.
Senior
star
showcase
will
be
producing
their
musical
revue
encore
in
the
spring.
B
At
the
Essex
campus
and
of
course,
the
one
of
the
hallmarks
of
our
music
program
is
our
jazz
program.
So
jazz
plus
is
our
contemporary
jazz
ensemble,
which
performs
in
May
and
then
powerhouse,
which
is
our
big
band.
Jazz
concert
band
is
led
by
Ashton
Fletcher
and
they
have
a
concert
every
performance,
but
there
are
every
spring,
but
they're
also
going
to
be
performing
at
the
CCBC
gala.
A
A
Up
fantastic
I
seriously:
I
can't
wait
good
lyric,
fantastic
thanks
for
coming
to
tell
us
a
little
bit.
Thank
you
for
having
me
sure
sure
and
stay
with
pillow
Baltimore
County
when
we
return
we'll
get
the
accurate,
up-to-date
answers
to
any
of
your
questions
about
vaccinations
for
children
and
adults.
