can
well,
first
of
all,
it's
an
acronym
okay
and
it
stands
for
the
sparrows
point:
educational
center,
in
environmental
studies,
it's
a
four-year
program.
The
students
take
at
least
two
sciences
per
year.
We
bring
in
about
a
hundred
per
class.
So
currently
we
have
just
under
400
at
the
school
right
now
it's
a
magnet
program.
Obviously
so
students
come
from
really
all
over
the
eastern
cotton
side
of
the
county.
We
have
a
couple
kids
that
will
come
from
the
west
side.
They
travel
themselves.

Kids
are
doing
out
here
with
these
meters,
and
the
technology
are
the
kinds
of
things
that
they
would
would
do
if
they
work
for
a
DNR
or
a
city
agency,
Department
of
the
Environment,
it's
all
real
stuff.
It's
easy
to
have
a
long
career
in
teaching
you'll
burn
out
when
you
have
a
good
community
and
a
good
program
and
good
students
good
administration.
So
this
is
kind
of
a
gym
in
Baltimore,
County.
