Nick Kritikos leads Global Business Development for ConsenSys having recently joined the private venture production studio from Microsoft where he led the US Microsoft Technology Centers as National Director since 2014. During his tenure the MTCs tripled their revenue and customer impact while expanding engagement responsibilities and improving execution quality. Prior to joining Microsoft, Nick spent 18 years at Oracle, where he rose from business development and field sales roles to Vice President of Worldwide Alliances and Channels.

Click to listen to a fascinating discussion with John Wolpert(cofounder of Hyperledger Fabric) and Nick Kritikos from the baseline protocol. John explains why Hyperledger Fabric has limitations in enterprise due to lack of data compartmentalization, cost and scalability and argues for a new approach using existing enterprise service bus solution patterns with public blockchain, such as Ethereum, as a messaging board for only storing data hashes of transactions. The baseline protocol gives enterprises a common frame of reference that their records match, despite having different ERP systems.

John Wolpert is co-founder of the Baseline Protocol, IBM Blockchain and Hyperledger Fabric.

New York, NY, March 4, 2020  -  Today, EY, ConsenSys, and Microsoft announced the formation of the Baseline Protocol, an open source initiative that combines advances in cryptography, messaging, and blockchain to deliver secure and private business processes at low cost via the public Ethereum Mainnet. 

Unibright will play a major role in developing the Baseline Protocol, which is about connecting traditional systems to each other via Ethereum Mainnet. The Unibright Framework will be "baseline ready" to support visual smart contract modelling, generation, connection and monitoring of baselined processes.

The protocol will enable confidential and complex collaboration between enterprises without leaving any sensitive data on-chain. The work will be governed by the Ethereum-Oasis Project, which is managed by OASIS and funded by the Ethereum Foundation and the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.

The Baseline Protocol has already brought together more than a dozen companies and organizations that will form its technical steering committee (TSC), including EY and Microsoft.
