B
A
You,
sir
I'm
bringing
forth
this
resolution
I
think
it's
very
important,
but
I'm
gonna
read
it
and
then
maybe
there's
any
discussion.
We
can
discuss
there
at
that
time,
but
it,
whereas
voting,
is
a
right
supported
by
our
Constitution
through
a
number
of
amendments
to
the
Constitution
and
whereas
the
following
amendments
support
the
right
of
all
eligible
US
citizens
to
exercise
their
voting
right
without
discrimination,
suppression
or
denial.
A
The
fifteenth
there's
a
number
of
the
Fifteenth
Amendment
allows
the
citizens
of
the
United
States
shall
not
be
denied
or
abridged
the
right
to
vote
based
on
race
or
color.
The
19th
amendment
allows
that
women
shall
not
be
denied
or
abridged
their
right
to
vote.
The
twenty-fourth
amendment
abolished
poll
taxes
that
suppress
the
rights
of
citizens
to
vote
and
the
26th
amendment
provided
for
18
year-olds
to
vote,
whereas
the
bay
County
Board
of
Commissioners
acknowledged
and
supports
the
rights
of
all
eligible
citizens
of
the
u.s.
A
in
the
United
States
of
America
to
exercise
the
right
to
vote
without
discrimination,
suppression
or
denial.
Be
it
further
resolved
that
the
bay
County
Board
of
Commissioners
encourages
and
urges
all
eligible
u.s.
citizens
to
exercise
the
right
to
vote
at
each
and
every
election.
Be
it
further
resolved
that
a
copy
of
this
resolution
before
worded
to
our
federal
state,
legislatures
legislators
and
the
Michigan
Association
of
counties
and
the
other
82
counties
so
I
bring
this
forward.
A
You
know
thinking
about
doing
some
research
and
looking
at
what
our
forefathers
thought
with
these
four
amendments
to
the
Constitution.
How
important
it
is
to
both
we
here
in
our
democracy,
the
right
to
vote
without
being
abridged
or
denied
or
discriminated
against,
is
so
key
to
a
thriving
democracy
and
I.
A
Think
if
we
were
to
pass
this
and
send
it
to
Lansing
and
the
other
82
counties
in
Washington,
so
that
other
folks
will
also
realize
and
hopefully
that
they
do
that
as
a
US
citizen,
it
is
your
right
to
vote
without
being
discriminated
against,
so
I
think
we're
in
some
very
difficult
times
here.
I
guess,
every
election
they
say
is
a
is
the
most
important
election
that
this
election
is
very,
very
important
and
I.
A
Hopefully,
we've
got
some
time
that
people
will
focus
on
the
issues
and
understand
that
their
vote
does
count,
and
hopefully
this
will
be
a
step
to
creating
some
education
throughout
the
process,
so
that
come
well.
I,
guess
March
for
the
part
for
the
Democratic
caucus
and
then
August
in
and
in
November
that
people
take
the
time
as
American
citizens
to
educate
themselves
and
to
be
allowed
to
vote
without
discrimination.
So
I
bring
forth
this
and
I
hope
there's
any
discussion.
A
C
You
I
just
want
to
say
that
you
know
what
you
say
is
true
and
what
we
see
on
the
news
a
lot
right
now
is
the
state
such
as
Wisconsin,
who
tried
to
knock
300,000
people
off
the
voting
rolls
and
that's
out.
They
do
it
in
many
states
they
just
instead
of
finding
ways
to
engage
people
that
find
ways
to
disengage
them
and
to
disenfranchise
them.
We've
been
pretty
fortunate,
Michigan
I
think
you
know
so
far,
and
that
has
not
happened,
but
I
think
that
to
reaffirm
you
know
these
things
is
not
a
bad
idea.
C
Like
I
said
the
other
state
a
lot
of
other
states
they
just
they
try
to
it
could
be,
it
could
be
the
race,
it
can
be
income,
it
can
be
a
lot,
but
they
try
to
get
rid
of
people.
They
they
don't
think
will
walk
their
way.
They
try
to
get
rid
of
them
off.
The
walls
and
Michigan's
been
pretty
good
about
this
and
I
think
this
is
our
saying:
that's
you
know
kind
of
enhances
that
a
little
bit.
Thank
you.
B
You
know
the
discussion
seeing
down
home
favor
signify
by
visual
sight,
both
same
side
carried
any
other,
do
business
so
now,
I
want
to
take
this
side
to
introduce
me
in
one
of
our
one
of
our
volunteers
actually
went
through
a
developmental
class
volunteer
class,
Jason
Urich
who
say
Jason.
Thank
you.
We
we
love
to
see
that
in
this
community.
Okay,
thank
you
miscellaneous
miscellaneous.
Yes,
not.
D
E
D
We
couldn't
have
done
a
good
job
without
the
tremendous
support
of
the
County
Board
and
mr.
Rebbe
them,
and
the
and
all
of
the
staff
everybody
here
at
the
table
has
been.
Oh,
it's
a
team
effort
and
we're
just
trying
to
make
progress,
but
all
I
did
was
relate
to
what
we've
done
last
year
and
what
we're
facing
in
the
coming
here.
D
So
thank
you
Mike
appreciate
that,
but
thank
you
all
of
you
for
for
all
the
great
work
you
do
on
behalf
the
residents
of
Bay
County
each
and
every
day,
people
the
public
sometimes
thinks
it's
a
part-time
job.
But
if
anyone
who's
anyone's
been
a
commissioner
they'll
know
it's
pretty
close
to
a
full-time
job,
fielding
all
the
concerns
of
the
residents
and
takes
a
lot
of
time
and
you're
very
dedicated
and
I
appreciate
you
and
in
our
friendship
and
our
good
working
relationship.
Thank
you.
Mike.
B
F
I
think
of
history
chairman
just
real
brief
tomorrow
at
the
big
County
Animal
Services
and
adoption
center
we're
having
a
training
session
where
an
individual
that
who's
worked.
Undercover
in
dogfighting
rings
is
coming
to
do
a
presentation
with
law
enforcement.
Some
neighboring
counties,
as
well
as
up
north
as
far
as
Alpena,
are
sending
individuals,
animal
control,
officers
and
staff
to
listen
to
this
gentleman
speak,
so
you
can
recognize
signs
and
it'd
be
educated
as
to
how
that
very
disturbing
practice
takes
place.
But
that's
going
to
happen.
