Walter
Wozniacki
began
his
public
service
career
as
the
bass
city
clerk
in
1968
and
served
in
that
capacity
for
seventeen
years
before
retiring
in
1986.
During
which
time
he
assisted
many
people
and
made
many
many
friends,
whereas
Walt
Wozniak's
work
extended
far
beyond
City
Hall,
with
his
involvement
in
the
Easter
Seals
campaigns
service
on
the
Bay
Area
at
community
mental
health
board,
Knights
of
Columbus,
st.
Stephen's
Council
for
1:02
Society
for
crippled
children
and
adults,
Society
of
st.
Vincent
de
Paul
and
st.
James
Catholic
Church.

You
continue
to
serve
the
public
by
serving
as
long
as
you
have
on
this
Board
of
Canvassers,
but
I
see
now
at
the
tender
age
of
96.
You
decided
that
hang
it
up
and
take
life
a
little
bit
easier,
and
so
we
want
to
thank
you
all
for
your
friendship
for
your
mentorship
guidance
through
all
these
years.

The
director
of
local
health
services
at
MT,
HHS
and
I
am
just
so
pleased
to
be
here
today
and
inspired
because
I'm
here
to
speak
about
more
public
service
happening
in
your
community
and
I.
Just
want
to
say
that
that
this
is
tremendous
and
inspiring
to
me
personally
and
I.
Think
the
thing
that's
so
wonderful
is
the
bay
County.

Health
Department
is
working
very
hard
to
make
sure
that
everyone
in
Bay
County
is
happy
and
healthy
and
able
to
continue
to
serve
their
community
well
well
into
into
their
older
age.
So
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
for
including
us
in
today's
presentation.
I
just
wanted
to
check
with
all
of
you
who
in
here
is
familiar
with
accreditation
for
local
public
health.

You
may
be
aware
that
in
Michigan,
Michigan
has
a
local
public
health
accreditation
program.
That's
been
in
place
since
1998.
It
is
actually
the
basis
of
national
accreditation
and
it
reviews
twelve
programs
and
cycles
through
the
entire
state
every
three
years,
and
what
that
means
is
that
a
county
is
working
every
day
to
prepare
for
accreditation,
to
make
sure
that
it
is
a
quality
assurance
program
to
look
at
all
these
different
programs
to
make
sure
that
they're
meeting
minimum
program
requirements
and
not
only
that
the
county
also
goes
above
and
beyond.

They
did
something
called
the
quality
improvement,
supplement
and
passed
that
so
that
means
that
they
are
working
day
in
and
day
out,
to
improve
service
delivery
to
the
residents
of
Bay
County,
to
make
sure
that
everything
that
they
do
is
not
just
staying
static
but
is
going
to
the
next
level
and
addressing
the
newest
challenges
facing
your
community.
One
thing
that
I
just
wanted
to
mention
is
that
they
are
working
on
a
regional
level
as
well
through
the
mejia,
the
Michigan
health
improvement
Alliance,
and
we
all
know
it
at
the
state
level
as
mejia.

But
it's
it's
wonderful,
because
it
is
working
with
traditional
community
health
partners
with
behavioral
health
partners,
with
local
businesses
and
major
local
businesses
in
your
region
to
improve
the
workforce
health,
because
we
know
that
people
really
can't
be
fully
present
at
work
and
fully
present
in
their
communities
if
they're
not
healthy.
They
also
do
a
lot
of
really
novel
activities
in
the
community.

In
addition,
bay
county
successfully
maintains
a
WIC
program
for
women,
infant
and
children,
which
provides
necessary
food
support
to
the
most
vulnerable
populations.
In
the
community-
and
that
puts
1.6
million
dollars
back
into
local
businesses
that
provide
that
food
assistance
so
with
that
I
just
want
to
say,
congratulations,
Joel
and
Melissa,
and
to
your
staff
and
we're
just
so
fortunate
at
the
state
to
have
the
opportunity
to
work
with
them
on
a
daily
basis.
So,
with
that
I'd
like
to
present
you
with
your
certificate
of
accreditation
with
commendation
and
the
certificate
of
quality.

the

say
that
to
those
who
traveled
here
from
Lansing
today,
a
great
department
down
in
Lansing.
We
agree
with
you
a

great
job
that
our
health
department
is
doing
and
especially
with
the
team
that
joel
has
assembled
all
their
own
Alissa.
They
work
day-in
day-out
to
protect
our
community
health
and
our
water
resources,
and
especially
the
health
of
our
residents
here
in
Bay
County.
So
we're
grab
that
you
also
appreciate
them
as
we
do
as
well.

Canvassers

I
was
in

a
very
nice
event
this
morning

Bay
City
absolutely
this
afternoon
as
well

I
want
to
thank
Kristin,
Eugenia

for
arranging
that,
as
well
as
the
brick
team
we
have
of
the
Civic
Arena.
We
have
four
of
our
Red
Wings
Detroit,
what
Red
Wings
kind
of
celebrities-
or
you
know,
athletes
in
town
they
serve
candy
and
nuts
over
at
st.
Lawrence,
and
we
had
what
would
you
say
about
400?
Maybe
people
are.

He
lived
in
Waterford
Township
in
Oakland
County
used
to
regularly
scape
with
his
team
at
the
Bay
County
Civic
Arena,
so
the
Red
Wings
brought
with
$2,500
check,
which
were
presented
to
the
Civic
Arena
us
and
for
whatever
expenses
we
need
out
there,
but
I
thought
it
was
great
recognition
or
our
Civic
Arena,
and
also
it
was
nice
to
know
that
the
Red
Wings
know
where
Bay
City,
Bay
County
is
and
again
above
our
static
arena.
So
I
might
want
to
defer
to
Christians
are
kind
of
fill
in
details.

one
three-year
term
Department
of
Health
and
Human
Services
Board
of
Directors,
one
three-year
turn
the
canvasses.
We
already
took
care
November
building
authority
to
six
year
terms
in
in
December
Department
on
Aging
Advisory
Committee
for
two-year
terms.
One
three
five,
seven
commissioners
are
asked
to
find
their
committee
member
closed
session.
