I'm,
with
the
Bay
Area
Community
Foundation
and
distributed
via
memo
to
you
today
were
the
funding
recommendations
that
were
approved
by
our
Board
of
Trustees
this
morning
at
a
specially
called
meeting
these
are,
we
did
break
them
out
into
part
one
in
part
two,
given
that
we
have
contracted
with
the
county
for
six
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars
this
first
round
with
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
payable
next
year.
That
helps
us
avoid
a
single
federal
audit.

These
committee,
these
applications,
were
reviewed
by
a
subsection
of
our
Board
of
Trustees,
with
the
full
board.
Acting,
we
received
more
requests
than
funding
was
available
by
about
three
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars,
so
this
was
most
definitely
a
competitive
process.
All
applicants
were
asked
to
supply
the
same
information.
They
all
went
through
legal
reviews
through
Warner
Norcross
and
the
funding
recommendations
are
put
forth
before
you.

It
was
done
through
press
releases,
targeted
postal
mailings,
targeted
emails,
General
email
blasts,
social
media
posts
through
our
partners
in
the
community,
such
as
the
city
of
Bay,
City,
Bay,
future
the
chamber
and
United
Way.
We
had
it
on
our
website.
We
had
800
hits
of
people
going
out
onto
our
website
and
downloading
the
application
and
information
we
also
individually
reached
out
and
made
contact
with
all
11
501c19
organizations
in
Bay
County
because
they
are
not
under
distribution
lists.

We
had,
we
opened
up
our
communication
about
this
funding
opportunity
on
August
3rd
application.
Guidelines
were
available
to
all
non-profit
Partners
on
the
16th
and
our
application
portal
opened
on
the
22nd
with
request
to
September
22nd.
So
folks
had
a
full
30
days
to
apply.
There
was
a
two-step
application
process.
The
first
one
was
to
determine
eligibility
and
then
within
typically
24
hours,
but
no
more
than
three
business
days.
Applicants
were
notified
if
they
were
moving
on
to
the
review
process.

Just
looking
at
what
you
you
know,
the
how
you
reached
out
to
people
as
I
think
it's
pretty
impressive,
that
you
know
the
the
steps
you
took
to
make
sure
that
anyone
who
may
be
eligible
you're
going
to
find
if
they
wanted
to
be
fine.
You
know,
there's
there's
a
lot
of
stuff
in
here
that
you
did
that
a
lot
of
places
would
not
get
done.

So
there
is
a
second
when
you
look
at
that
memo,
so
the
first
is
a
total
of
six
hundred
and
fifty
thousand
dollars
to
well.
There's
22
agencies
in
total
I
didn't
count
between
how
many
in
the
first
I
will
say
that
every
agency
in
part,
two
is
receiving
some
funding
in
part
one
and
it's
just
when
so
we
had
750
000.
We
broke
it
out
650
for
this
year
and
then
a
hundred
thousand
for
next
year
so
go
ahead.

There
was
an
an
allocation
of
up
to
twenty
five
thousand
dollars.
We
were
allowed
to
use
for
legal
expenses,
so
we
reserved
20
235
out
of
the
650
and
then
a
1450
out
of
the
second
hundred
thousand
anything.
So
that's
less
than
the
twenty
five
thousand
dollars
that
we
were
authorized
to
use.
If
we
do
go
over
these
two
amounts,
we
will
absorb
it,
the
Community
Foundation
will.
We
won't
come
back
for
that
additional
couple
thousand
dollars
out
of
the
25.

Yeah
I
do
want
to
reassure
you
all
we're
incredibly
thankful
for
the
trust
you
know
you
placed
in
our
organization.
This
is
what
we're
set
up
to
do.
We
know
there
are
people
who
are
not
going
to
be
happy,
but
we
feel
solid
about
our
objective
process
that
we
used
and
we
will
address
any
questions
or
concerns.
People
have.

going

say
thank

committee
doing
what
you
did
and
not
having
to
be
an
arduous
task
going
through.
All
that
you
know,
I
was
contacted
by
a
number
of
organizations
that
are
not
reflected
here
in
the
awards
seems
like
it
was
heavily
weighted
toward
fundraising
machines,
kind
of
United
Way
and
a
lot
of
the
the
can
Council
and-
and
you
did
take
into
consideration
billions
of
dollars
of
other
Federal
funding
that
they,
these
organizations
received.

The
very
first
section
of
your
memo
details
the
scoring
rubric,
so
everyone
was
evaluated
on
the
same
criteria.
There
were
seven
seven
different
factors
and
they
were
all
weighted
equally,
so
the
first
one
was:
is
application
thorough
and
complete?
Was
the
financial
impact
of
covid
clear
and
demonstrated
had
they
taken
steps
to
address
those
impacts
right
because
we
don't
want
to
fund
people
who
just
got
lazy,
not
to
be
rude
about
it
right,
but
you
have
to
prove
that
you're
trying
to
get
through
this
challenge.

The
committee
evaluated
based
on
impact-
and
that
is,
does
the
organization
provide
and
continue
to
provide
services
that
contribute
to
our
community's
well-being
and
then
do
they
show
a
long-term
commitment
to
the
community?
We
arpa
guard
lines
were
very
clear
that
you
know
organizations
had
to
be
up
and
running
by
a
certain
point
in
time.
Was
the
grant
budget
reasonable
and
aligning
with
eligible
expenditures?
Would
the
proposal
be
self-sustaining
after
the
grant
period?

These
small
Awards
I
can't
remember
who
told
me
that
you

we
get
these
small
little
well,
not
that
they're
small
but

going

us
to
come
back
and
vote
on
these
type
of,
say
the
say,
the
ones
that
we're
giving
you
know
the
animal
shelter.

somebody
donates
like

couple,

company

replacement

year.

happened?

company
just
kept
refusing
to
schedule
us
and
we
went
through
the
process
with
with
Francis
from
purchasing
and
ultimately
they
re
they.
They
decided
that
they
weren't
interested
in
doing
the
project
anymore,
and
so
then
we
were
able
to
contract
with
the
with
another
company
that
bid
and
when
they
at
this
time
he
has
so
much
time
had
passed.

been
informed

the
ceremony
will
be

o'clock

last

last
session,
so
I'm
going
to
talk
about
my
All
Saints
football
team,
my
Junior
High
football
team
who
was
lucky
enough
to
coaches
my
fourth
year,
my
36th
year
of
coaching
at
All
Saints.
So
we
finished
the
season.
Six
and
oh
it's
two
years
in
a
row,
we've
been
undefeated
and
we
scored
in
six
games.
We
put
up
about
246
points
and
gave
up
about
44
I
think
it
was
and
about
the
same
numbers
last
year.
So
it
was
great.

great
kids
and
I'll.
Tell
you
if
anybody
they
can
talk
to
all
they
want
about
a-man
football.
It's
a
lot
harder
to
coach
than
11
man,
football.
It
just
is-
and
it's
just
so
different,
but
it
took
me
a
couple
of
years
to
figure
it
out
but
I'm
starting
to
get
it
now.

it

was
just
talking

coonan
that
was

So
you
never
know
what's
going
to
happen
in
football,
but
the
kids
had
a
great
year.
You
know
the
kids
got
it
rolling
over
there
and
I'm
so
glad
to
be
a
part
of
it
and
that's
all
I
got
another
year
for
the
coach
and
the
pay
raise
yeah
I'd
probably
make
it
two
dollars
next
year.
