we're
going
today

our
organizational
meeting
for
2021.

then
we
will
go
through

the

is
still
running
okay
right

coven
there's
no
cost.
That's
some

spouses,

indigent
veteran
husband,
has
passed
away.
They
have
no
finances
to
pay
for
dial
right
our
taxis,

I'm
looking
out
for
the
future
of
these
indigent
spouses
of
veterans
that
have
no
transportation.

committee

waive
that
requirement
of
their
own
bylaws,
stating

until
further
notice,
electronic
participation
can
be
allowed
and
then
you
would
just
basically

that
was
over,
if
that
makes
any

we

scheduled

the

either
of
those
organizations

those
organizations
haven't
been
taking
food
because
our
lions
club
used
to,
but
then
with
the
pen
they
made

them
weren't.

know

they've

started

the
way
I
made
a
donation,
that's
it's
going
to
be
over
at
vets
park
as
you
come
in,
there's
a
divider
as
you
drive
in
by
the
pool
there,
and
they
I
think
he
said
he's
got
enough.
He's
collected
enough
money
from
other
people
and
for
the
for
the
that
area.

have
bricks,
they're
selling
bricks,
also
memorial
bricks
that
you
can
buy
that'll
be
done
this
summer.

think
he's
okay,
any

The
other
one
was
actually
was
about
the
transportation
compensation
that
you

the
drivers.
I
don't
know
that's
a
separate
issue.

I

Unfortunately,
I
didn't

one
piece
of
paper
I
didn't
bring
with
the
grid.
However,
I
do
remember
compiling
all
the
information
it
was.
It
was
difficult
to
get
together
data,
especially
from
last
year,
because
for
a
vast
majority
of
the
time
during
the
year
we
didn't
run
so
the
numbers
are
high.
You
know
I
took
a
lot
of
the
numbers
going
forward
based
off
of
what
was
2019
as
far
as
the
number
of
passengers
that
were
transported
and
those
types
of
things,
and
just
did
my
best.

we
really
wanted
to
get
down
to
the
the
nitty-gritty
of
it
it's,
I
would
question
to
some
degree
the
amount
of
accuracy
that
that
would
be.
I
wouldn't
take
a
large
bet
on
those
specific
numbers,
but
at
least
gives
us
a
good
idea.
What
we're
looking
at,
however,
I
and
I
did
I'm
not
mistaken.
I
referenced
the
totals
that
we're
going
to
be
incurring
this
year
with
converting
the
staff
from
contract
employees
to
county
employees,
and
that
will
have
a
an
impact
on
on
our
budget
as
well.

though
some
of
some
of
the

being
not
taken
up
by
the
grant
pers,
you
know,
but
the
county
itself
and
the
milling
will
receive
some
some
of
that
incurred
or
increased
cost.
So
unfortunately,
I'm
I'm
personally
not
comfortable,
like
recommend,
you
know
other
than
just
presenting
data
at
this
point,
because
I
don't
have
you
know
everything,
I'm
a
very
data-driven
person
and
I
don't
have
everything
necessarily
in
front
of
me
to
to
give
a
good.

that
would
impact
the
budget.

we

track
those
quarterly,

spreadsheet

we
do
a
bunch
of

send
them
off

them

no
set
defined
rules
other
than
we
follow.

staff

we
were
working

with

us

indigent
needs

we
currently

old
guidance
for
the
soldier

relief
commission
doesn't
really
fit
the
department
of
veterans
affairs.
Now
it
may
be
a
starting
point
something
to
put
together,
but
it's
got
to
be
totally
tailored
for
this
organization
right
and
then
it's
got
to
go
through
corporate
council.

been

that's
the

think,

what
we're
currently
using

is
one

the
decision
makers
on
that
and
you've
got
what
we
had
at
one
point
in

So
maybe

them

committee
and
we
vote
on
it
and
go
yeah.
That's
a
good
idea
or
no
that's
not.

We've
had
people
interpret
the
rules
in
two
different
ways:
one
real
strict
and
one
real
liberal.
So
you
know
somewhere
in
the
opinion,
maybe
is
the
right,
the
right
balance
so,
but
we'll
try
to
try
to
get
together
before
the
next
meeting
and
see.
If
we
can
bring
something
back
to
the
committee,
then
the
guidelines-
oh
yeah,
so
he
presented
us
with
the
veterans
relief
fund.
It's
really
the
laws
from
1899
which
may
have
changed
a
little
bit,
but
these
may
have
changed
a
little
bit
and
then
the
veterans
trust
fund
submitted
also.

those
are
those
are
both
referenced
in,
in
whatever
collaboration
council's
documents
that
they
provided
to
us
based
on
other
questions.
But
it
answers
the
full
range
of
providing
services,
including
definition
of
wartime,
which
is
what
the
main
part
of
based
on
the
statute
is
to
find
that
more
time
service.

previously
touched
on,

interesting
year
last
year,

we're
currently
still
finance

still
working
on
their
terminology

things

certain

get

invoices
or
those
types
of

2021

grant

at

pay

two-thirds

conversion

with
the

county
that
we're
taking

a
greater
expense
with
that
conversion.
So,
but
we'll
see
how
you
know
based
on
you
know,
mr
zipler
talked
about
transportation
and
those
types
of
things
all
of
that's
going
to
be
still
impacted.

don't
expect
a
lot
to
change,
at
least
in
the
initial
2021..

The
new
business,
the
main
one
was
the
applications
for
appointments.
We
had
a
little
discussion
at
the
last
board
meeting
about
the
process.
The
procedure
we
found
out
there
was
nothing
really
in
our
our
room
that
talked
about
submitting
an
official
application
form.

However,
rule
16.2
only
actually
applies
to
the
appointment
through
commissions,
and
boards
is
silent
as
two
committees,
so
their
board
rules
are
silent
as
to
the
application.
It
has
covered
back
doors
and
each
person
has
to
be
nominated
on
the
floor.
So
the
questions
I
have,
how
would
the
board
applications?
Were
they
first
submitted
to
the
veterans
affairs
committee,
and
then
we
referred
them
on
to
the
full
board,
or
did
they
submit
them
directly
to
the
board?

don't
know
if
we
need
to
check
their
dd214
to
see
if
they
are
really
a
veteran,
but
it
probably
should
come
to
our
committee
first
before
we
forward
it
on.
I
think
that's
usually
the
way
the
mental
health
board
works
if
they
go
to
the
mental
health
board
and
then
they
forward
it
to
the
full
board.
So
we
would
need
to
put
that
into
article
14,
probably
on
page
four
at
the
bottom
talks
about
vacancies,
filling
vacancies
and
the
verbiage
on
it.

board

commissioners
need
to
implement
it
and
theirs,

right
now
their

rules

silent

as

people

done
deal,
so
what
we're
looking
at
is
changing
this
for
future
applications,

the
board
does
not

any
rule
related

the

sergeant-at-arms
in
the
administrative
role,

we

and

then

we're
still

somebody

chilly
right

walls,
but
I
just
remembered
in

did
some

we're
not
sure

they're

That
is
not
supposed
to
be
true,
so
I
just
wanted
to
get
that
word
out
that
we're
hearing
what
veterans
are
saying
but
we're
hearing

va

telling
us
that
that
is
not
supposed
to
be
true.

know
that's
one
of
the
places.
I've
read
it
from
multiple
times
because
it
keeps
coming
to
us
like
once
a
week
where
they
talk
about
the
shot.
It
says
yeah.

they
are
starting

I've
been
getting
calls
from
other
people

over
who
have
registered
because
they're
into
that
cycle.
Now
they've
done
the
1a
and
the
1b
is
pretty
much
done
and
actually

now
is,

people
have
been
calling
wanting
to
know
when
they're
back
with
them.
So
it's
a
matter
of
how
much
vaccines
available
they
can
get
enough
in
how
many
people
can
give
shots.
That's
the
other
thing:
that's
setting
up
the
clinics
and
having
people
to
administer
the
shots.

pharmacies
are
doing
a
lot
of
it
like
in
nursing
homes
and
at
pharmacies
also,
but
the
va
is
giving
them.
So
I
know
some
veterans
have
been
getting
that
so
so
there's
other
veterans
out
there
that
should
definitely
register
with
the
va.

The
other
issue
is
people
who
don't
have
computers.
There
are
people
that
don't
have
computers.
