From YouTube: 3 Jar Crafts with Katy
Description
In this video Katy shows you how to make 3 crafts from recycled jars. This video is intended for adults.
A
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
another
bcp
library,
video.
My
name
is
katie,
and
today
I'm
going
to
be
showing
you
how
you
can
make
these
three
crafts
out
of
some
jars
that
you
want
to
recycle
and
they're
very,
very
easy
to
do
so.
Let's
just
get
straight
into
it,
so
the
first
craft
I'm
going
to
show
you
is
this
galaxy
jar
that
you
can
put
some
lights
in
and
it
will
make
some
star
shapes
around
your
walls
and
just
look
like
a
nice
galaxy.
A
So
for
this
you
need
a
jar
and
I've
gone
for
quite
a
big
jar,
so
a
jar
that
might
have
some
bolognese
sauce
in
it
or
something
like
that
and
need
to
clean
your
jar
out
and
take
the
label
off
and
then
I'm
using
some
star
stickers,
which
you
can
get
from
quite
a
lot
of
craft
places.
Quite
a
lot
of
supermarkets
even
and
I'm
just
masking
off
some
stars.
So
we're
not
going
to
keep
these
on.
These
are
just
to
make
it
so
the
paint
doesn't
go
on
these
areas.
A
So
I'm
just
sticking
them
around
evenly
a
mixture
of
shapes,
and
once
I
had
done
that,
I
then
took
some
acrylic
paints
and
I
chose
three
colors:
a
dark
blue,
a
black
and
a
pink
and
just
sponged
it
on
all
over
the
stickers
so
that
it
looks
like
a
galaxy,
and
you
don't
have
to
do
too
many
layers,
because
I
found
that
the
sponge
texture
leaves
some
of
the
glass
visible.
So
when
we
put
lights
in
it
later,
they
will
look
like
lots
of
small
stars.
A
So
all
you
really
have
to
do
now
is
just
completely
cover
the
glass
jar
with
your
paint
and
blend
the
colors
together,
you
don't
have
to
use
these
colors.
You
can
maybe
choose
a
black
red
and
a
green
or
a
black
pink
and
a
green.
It's
totally
up
to
you.
I
just
like
a
pink
in
my
galaxy,
but
you
can
do
whatever
you
like,
and
you
don't
have
to
do
stars
either
to
mask
off.
You
might
have
some
other
sticker
shapes
that
you
can
use,
maybe
some
planets,
maybe
some
letters.
A
You
can
maybe
spell
your
name
out
with
some
letters.
It's
totally
up
to
you.
This
is
just
one
idea.
It
just
depends
what
stickers
you
have
or
you
don't
even
have
to
do
stars
at
all,
because
the
light
will
still
come
through
and
make
it
look
like
a
galaxy
even
without
the
stars.
So
once
you
have
painted
your
jar,
you
need
to
make
sure
it's
dry
and
you
might
have
to
do
this
jar
in
stages.
You
might
have
to
do
half
of
it
and
then
leave
it
to
dry
and
then
do
the
other
half.
A
But
acrylic
paint
does
dry
really
really
quickly
and
that's
why
it's
really
good,
but
you
might
want
to
seal
the
paint
at
the
end
of
the
project
just
to
make
sure
it
doesn't
chip
off,
but
that
is
just
an
extra
step
that
you
don't
necessarily
have
to
do
it's
just
in
case
you
want
to,
and
you
can
maybe
use
some
mod
podge
for
this
or
the
glue
that
we
make
in
the
third
craft
will
do
nicely
as
well.
But
again
that's
an
optional
step.
You
don't
have
to
do
that.
A
So
when
you
have
completely
finished
your
jar
and
it
is
dry
and
you
are
happy
with
all
of
the
colors-
you
then
need
to
peel
the
stickers
off,
and
this
can
be
quite
fiddly.
Some
of
the
stars
were
easy
to
peel
off
like
this
one
was
quite
easy
to
peel
off
right
here,
but
some
of
them
were
a
little
bit
tricky.
So
I
found
that
using
a
pin,
maybe
a
sewing,
pin
or
something
very
sharp,
like
a
pin
from
a
badge,
helps
to
peel
it
off
and
then
once
you
have
peeled
it
off.
A
A
A
I
found
some
lights
that
are
like
little
fairy
lights,
like
mini
fairy
lights
that
you
can
get
from
gift
shops,
you
can
use
a
candle
if
you
want
to
it's
totally
up
to
you
and
I
also
tied
a
ribbon
around
the
top,
a
pink
ribbon
to
bring
out
the
pink
in
the
galaxy,
and
it
works
really
really
well
in
a
dark
room.
So
maybe
you
can
put
it
outside
in
the
evening.
It
will
make
it
nice
and
atmospheric
or
just
maybe,
when
you
have
your
lights
out
as
a
little
night
light.
A
A
So
now
I'm
going
to
show
you
how
you
can
use
some
string
to
jazz
up
a
jar
and
you
can
maybe
put
a
candle
in
it,
and
this
looks
quite
complicated,
but
it's
actually
quite
easy
once
you
get
the
hang
of
how
to
do
it.
So
again,
you
need
a
jar
and
I
chose
a
slightly
smaller
jar.
I
think
this
one
had
some
peanut
butter
in
it
and
you
need
to
take
some
string.
I
have
some
rainbow
string,
it's
kind
of
like
a
gradient,
rainbow
string,
but
you
can
use
whatever
you
have
at
home.
A
Maybe
you
have
some
ordinary
string
or
you
have
some
embroidery
thread.
It's
totally
up
to
you.
So,
first
of
all,
you
want
to
wrap
a
few
layers
of
string
around
the
top
of
your
jar
and
then
cut
some
lengths
of
string
fold
them
in
half
and
place
them
through
the
string
you've
put
around
the
top
and
then
tie
them
like
I'm
doing
here.
A
You
want
to
space
them
out
quite
evenly
and
not
do
too
many,
and
once
you
have
all
of
your
strings
tied
on,
you
then
have
a
nice
evenly
spaced
and
it
kind
of
looks
like
tassels
and
there's
two
bits
on
each
tassel
and
then
all
you
need
to
do
is
tie
them
together.
So
take
one
piece
from
this
tassel
and
one
piece
from
this
tassel
and
just
tie
them
together
with
two
knots,
and
these
knots
will
move
and
that's
okay,
because
it
helps
with
spacing
it
just
can
be
a
little
bit
fiddly.
A
But
once
you
get
the
hang
of
it,
it's
quite
easy
and
you
just
need
to
keep
tying
knots
basically
and
go
keep
going
all
the
way
around
with
each
tassel
and
tie
them
all
the
way
around.
And
then
it
kind
of
spirals
down-
and
this
can
be
a
little
bit
tricky
as
some
of
the
strings
might
get
a
little
bit
tangled
up.
A
But
you
just
have
to
be
a
little
bit
careful
and
keep
evening
the
spacing
out,
and
once
you
have
completely
tied
all
of
the
tassels
together,
you
can
pull
it
tight
and
see
how
it
looks
and
maybe
even
the
spaces
out
a
little
bit
more.
This
is
quite
a
difficult
craft
to
explain,
but
hopefully
you
can
see
what
I'm
doing
better
than
you
can
hear
what
I'm
doing
and
yeah
like
I
said
you
can
use
some
normal
string.
A
That
will
give
it
a
bit
more
of
a
nautical
look
or
you
can
use
your
favorite
color
or
you
can
use
even
some
very
fine
ribbon.
That
would
work
too.
It's
totally
up
to
you,
so
I'm
just
continuing
to
keep
tying
and
tying
all
the
way
down
to
the
end,
and
it
does
help
if
you
do
cut
your
string
quite
long,
because
it's
better
to
have
too
much
than
too
little,
because
you
won't
be
able
to
finish
your
tying,
and
this
does
give
quite
a
nice
effect
and
it's
quite
simple,
but
also
quite
effective.
A
And
once
you
have
completely
finished
all
of
your
tying.
You
need
to
even
out
all
of
your
diamonds,
because
they
kind
of
look
a
little
bit
like
diamonds,
even
out
all
your
diamonds
and
pull
it
tight
and
you
will
see
how
they
look
and
I
fixed
the
diamonds
with
some
hot
glue.
So
I
pulled
pulled
it
tight,
like
this
added
some
hot
glue
to
the
final
knot
and
stuck
it
down
and
the
advantage
of
using
hot
glue
is
that
it
dries
very
very
quickly.
A
I
thought
it
would
look
really
cool
because
it's
a
bit
of
a
rainbow
theme,
so
I
just
added
an
assortment
of
rainbow
beads
and
then
I
found
a
candle.
Well,
it's
not
really
a
candle,
it's
one
of
those
ones
that
you
have
with
a
battery
and
put
it
inside,
and
I
think
that
worked
out
really
well
and
I
really
like
how
this
one
turned
out.
A
So
now
I'm
going
to
show
you
how
to
make
this
jar
and
it's
very
similar
to
paper
mache.
So
what
you
need
to
do
is
get
some
glue
like
school
glue
or
pva
glue
and
mix
it
three
parts
with
one
part,
water
and
then
just
paste
it
all
over
your
jar
and
add
some
bits
of
teared
up
paper.
I've
got
music
paper,
but
you
can
do
whatever
paper
you
like
and
make
sure
you
do
a
layer
of
the
glue
on
top
and
once
it's
dry
I'd
recommend
leaving
it
to
dry
for
about
24
hours.
A
You
can
add
a
ribbon
to
the
top,
and
I
also
made
a
little
tag
because
I'm
going
to
turn
this
jar
into
a
sweet
jar.
So
I
made
a
tag
that
said:
make
sweet
music,
but
you
can
do
whatever
you
like.
You
don't
have
to
use
music
as
your
paper.
You
can
maybe
print
off
some
photographs
and
do
that
or
you
can
use
some
newspaper
or
some
pages
from
an
old
book.
It's
totally
up
to
you
and
then
I
use
my
hot
glue
gun
to
add
some
little
musical
instruments.
A
A
So
this
is
how
it
turned
out
and
I'm
going
to
fill
it
with
some
chocolate,
because
it
is
meant
to
be
a
nice
musical,
sweet
jar
and
those
are
all
of
the
jar
crafts
for
this
video.
I
hope
you
enjoyed
it,
and
maybe
you
are
inspired
to
take
one
of
your
jars
from
your
recycling
and
make
something
new
from
it.
But
that's
all
for
the
video
and
we'll
see
you
again.
