A
Thursday
August
17
2023
meeting
of
the
Beaufort
County
Airport's
board.
If
you
please
rise
and
join
me
in
the
pledge,
I
pledge
allegiance
to
the
flag
of
the
United
States
of
America.
A
C
A
All
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye
aye
any
opposed
agenda
passes
same
story
on
the
minutes
was
sent
around
of
July
meeting
and
he
changes
the
corrections.
A
Discussions
on
any
of
the
minutes.
Hearing,
none
we'll
accept
a
motion
to
approve
the
minutes
as
published
to
Nick
who's,
the
motion
maker
and
Tom
II
all
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye.
D
A
E
Good
afternoon,
I
didn't
bring
an
agenda
with
me,
so
you
have
to
keep
me
on
track
here.
First
thing,
I
have
Rocio
kind
of
queue
up.
Thank
you,
foreign
power
points.
We
can
go
through
that.
E
All
right,
August
already
we'll
skip
to
the
next
slide,
Rocio
and
first
bullet
there
that
we're
hiring.
We
do
have
open
positions
some
at
both
airports,
so
I
know
at
Hilton,
Head
we've
got
spots
open
for
maintenance
technicians
and
we
also
have
spots
open
for
our
staff
too
right
for
two
firefighters.
We
have
one
retire
and
we've
got
another
one
who's
leaving.
So
we've
got
two
spots
for
for
ARF.
E
So
anyway,
if
anybody's
looking
for
employment
at
Hilton
Head,
those
are
the
open
positions
and
then
over
at
Buford
executive
we've
got
a
couple
of
lawn
service
tech
positions
that
will
be
opening
at
the
end
of
the
month,
so
those
are
going
to
be.
They
should
be
hitting
the
website,
hopefully
today
or
tomorrow,
the
County
website.
E
So
if
you
know
of
anybody
who
wants
to
get
kind
of
dip
their
toe
in
aviation,
that's
a
good
way
to
get
started
or
if
you
know
somebody
who's
wife's,
ready
to
throw
them
out
of
the
house
and
they're
retired.
Have
them
come
see
us
as
well?
Try
them
out
too.
So
those
are
usually
the
best.
E
We
get
the
very,
very
Youngs
and
we
get
the
experienced
so
we'll
take
any
that's
that
and
then
1200
arrow
is
a
new
piece
of
software
that
that
we're
demoing
at
both
airports
and
I
think
we've
got
a
he's
going
to
try
and
link
us
up
with
just
a
quick
presentation.
So
we
can
show
you
what
that
looks
like,
but
I
think
the
best
way
to
describe
it
is
kind
of
like
a
combination
of
FlightAware
and
adsb
exchange
on
steroids
yeah.
E
Here
we
go
it's
pretty
interesting
because
it
allows
us
to
track
any
any
aircraft
period,
but
we're
concerned
with
aircraft
that
are
coming
in
and
out
of
either
one
of
our
facilities
and
it's
not
just
an
aircraft
that
has
filed
a
flight
plan
the
way
something
like
FlightAware
works.
This
is
every
airplane
that
turns
on
and
has
a
transponder
an
active
transponder.
E
G
C
I
A
E
J
E
Right
now,
here's
we've
got
a
demo
that
we're
doing
but
I
don't
know.
If
you're
going
to
be
able
to
see
it,
you
probably
can't
that's
just
another
plug
for
that's
another
plug
for
showing
up
in
person
like.
E
I
know
I
know,
so
we
wish
you
were
here
too
we're
going
to
hand
out
treats
at
the
end
for
everybody
and
stickers
to
wear
yeah.
H
E
I
Just
and
I
wish
you
guys
were
here
to
see
it,
but
the
board
members
that
are
here
can
see
it
I'm,
going
through
just
a
quick
overview
of
1200
Arrow,
which
is
kind
of
like
a
virtual
Tower.
We
have
it
Hilton
Head
right
now
and,
as
you
can
see
on
the
left,
the
right
is
the
map,
and
that
shows
real
time
any
aircraft
that
is
in
communication
with
the
tower
any
aircraft.
That's
has
adsb,
we
can
see,
and
they
track
that
on
the
left.
I
We
can
see
how
many
operations,
for
example,
how
many
parked
how
many
came
overnight,
which
is
beneficial
for
us
to
sometimes
people
use
the
airport
at
night.
They
come
in,
they
land,
they
turn
around
and
leave
before
anybody
shows
up
in
the
morning
that
can
be
construed
as
maybe
some
lost
Revenue
that
we
might
be
joining
there.
I
We
have
the
ability,
through
this
software,
to
track
incidents,
accidents,
safety,
noise,
complaints,
noise,
abatement,
complaints,
how
this
company
tracks
all
that
and
how
they
get
the
information
is
their
technical
Wizardry.
But
it's
good
information
for
us
to
have
I
can
also
see
current
flights.
I
can
see
what's
scheduled
to
arrive,
was
scheduled
to
depart.
I
can
see
no
flight
plans
as
they're
coming
in
if
they're
coming
in
or
if
they're,
in
route
leaving
or
they're
arriving
to
the
airport,
and
we
can
run
whatever
reports.
I
We
have
to
generate
reports
anyway
to
satisfy,
for
example,
based
aircraft,
how
many
operations
we
have
at
the
airport.
This
gives
us
a
much
more
accurate
ability
to
get
with
the
tower
because
they
keep
track
of
everything.
Now
we
can
consolidate
both
and
say
this
is
our
actual.
No
kid
numbers
and
they're
verified
by
two
different
entities,
which
is
good
and.
I
An
idea
yeah
the
only
difference
from
what
you
see
and
what
we're
looking
at
here
is.
We
have
the
actual
Hilton
Head
airport
and
see
what's
on
the
ground
right
now.
What's
flying
over
I
can
zoom
in
I
can
zoom
out,
and
we
are
getting
this
installed
today
at
arw
as
well.
I
As
boat
c,
a
adsb
approach,
comms
Tower
comms,
that's
how
they
gather
their
information
to
identify
an
airplane
and
where
it's
going
or
where
it's
coming
from.
So.
B
B
K
E
You
know,
like
Steve,
said
it's
strong
for
us
not
not
just
from
the
revenue
standpoint
or
the
you
know.
What
we
know
is
some
lost
Revenue
that
is
almost
impossible
to
recover,
but
now
you
know
it
allows
you
to
do
that
because
not
only
do
you
see
the
airplane,
but
you
you
can
pinpoint
tail
numbers
ownership
and
you
can
reach
down
to
contact
so
that'll
help
us.
You
know
close
the
gap
on
actual
operations
and
recovering
the
cost
to
operate
each
airport,
which
is
incredibly
important
and
the
other
thing
it
does.
E
Is
you
can
see
that
Steve
you
go
back
to
the
live,
stats
yep.
That
shows
you
the
operations
and
it
shows
you
by
hour.
So
it'll
tell
you
what's
scheduled
and
then
what
actually
happened,
and
so,
let's
say
a
big
thunderstorm
comes
through
and
you
had
a
bunch
of
schedule
operations.
It
may
push
those
a
couple
of
hours,
but
it's
very
interesting
to
us
to
be
able
to
see
that,
because
now
that
that
this
program
will
hold
the
data
for
I
think
two
years
and
then
you
can
also
access
it
farther
back.
E
But
if
we
need
to
develop
trends
for
whatever
reason
or
if
we
need
to
schedule
a
project,
we
know
when
the
best
time
is
going
to
be
to
schedule
projects
on
taxiways
runways,
things
like
that
to
cause
the
least
amount
of
disruption
to
traffic.
So
we
have
yet
to
even
scratch
the
surface
of
the
the
power
of
this
software.
E
We
literally
just
pulled
it
up
yesterday,
so
there's
a
lot
that
we
have
to
learn
we're
in
a
demo
phase
now,
but
I
think
it's
it's
a
pretty
safe
bet
that
we've
moved
forward
with
with
this,
because
it
seems
to
be
pretty
powerful
for
us.
So.
E
That's
correct,
there's
a
little
bit
of
Hardware
that
goes
with
it
antenna
and
that
sort
of
thing
and
that's
ours
to
keep.
You
know
whether
or
not
we
buy
the
system.
I
A
E
We're
working
through
that
Brian
is
that's
a
real
good
question,
so
we're
going
to
coordinate
with
Bill
because
since
they
work
for
a
a
different
company,
they're
going
to
have
to
make
sure
that
they
check
back
with
with
headquarters
to
see.
If
it's
something
that
they're
able
to
to
look
at.
E
L
E
Could
but
Brian
this
is
one
of
those
off-the-shelf
software
packages
that
the
fa
is
not
approved.
So
that's
the
you
know
every
time
we
ask
them
it's
24
months
before
they
have
a
a
plan
to
generate
a
solution
to
the
radar
problems,
so
they've
not
yet
authorized
anything
off.
The
shelf
Chris
is
laughing
because
what
that
means
is
we'll
get
to
it
at
some
point.
L
Because
the
FAA
is
supposed
to
be
in
the
business
of
safety,
so
they're
telling
the
control
tower,
they
have
to
be
deaf,
dumb
and
blind
until
they
approve
the
system
that
may
be
three
to
five
years
in
the
making
it'd
be
nice
to
take
it
just
allow
something,
even
if
it's
off
the
shelf
to
be
used
in
between
I
realize
your
guys
are
not
going
to
be
able
to
answer
that
question.
But
this
is
a
real
issue.
That's
going
to
get
worse
of
traffic
increases
at
Hilton,
Head
Airport.
E
You're
right,
Brian
and
I
guess
my
suggestion.
My
request
of
the
board
would
be
that
maybe
we
sit
down
and
think
think
through
how
to
put
a
letter
together,
because
we
can
talk
at
all
about
this
all
day
long,
but
until
it
hits
somebody's
desk
in
Washington.
This
is
a
non-issue
and
I've
talked
to
the
FAA
regional
administrator
about
it.
He
knows
it's
an
issue,
but
even
as
a
regional
administrator
he's
only
got
so
much
juice.
E
What
it
takes
is
boards
like
this
and
boards
at
other
airports
like
ours
that
have
contract
Towers,
who
don't
have
radar
and
we
could
get
that
report
pretty
easily
and
coordinate
with
them
and
and
get
some
letters
going
up
to
Washington.
That's
the
only
way
anything's
going
to
happen.
J
H
H
I
Wish
you
guys
online
could
see
the
the
information
on
the
left
side.
What
you're
seeing
on
your
demo
is
the
airport,
but
on
the
left
side,
that's
all
the
information
that
the
airport
Gathers
using
this
software.
So
if,
if
you
guys
would
like
me.
C
I
You,
when
I'm
over
in
Hilton
Head
I'll,
be
happy
to
you
guys
come
over.
We
sit
down
and
I
can
show
you
demo
this
as
well.
K
I
I
just
actually
saw
the
software,
not
knowing
what
it
was.
I
was
in
Marco
Island
on
Tuesday
or
Monday
Sunday
and
Tuesday,
but
I
looked
at
it
closer
when
I
was
leaving
and
when
you
had
all
the
landings
and
and
coming
in
as
well
I
noticed
it
was
kept
up
on
a
on
a
flat
screen
that
everybody
could
see
in
and
I
was
like
wow
look
at
that
how
they
know
all
these
planes
are.
You
know,
because
it
wasn't
FlightAware,
because
it
was
different,
different
information
but
yeah
for
operating
an
airport.
K
H
Yeah
some
pretty
good
summaries
on
the
website
screen
grabs
of
metrics
and
things
like
that.
It
looks
like
a
wealth
of
data
and.
B
C
H
I
B
B
B
Guy
going
from
from
Dulles
down
to
Palm
Beach,
we
don't
really
care
about.
We.
I
A
E
I
think
to
Chris's
point
you
know,
especially
at
arw
or
we
are
the
FBO.
There
may
be
an
opportunity
there
to
have
a
a
monitor
up
or
people
can
see
what
what's
going
on.
So
it's
definitely
something
we
consider
and
that's
probably
going
to
be
in
our
list
of
questions
when
we
go
back
to
the
folks
at
1200,
arrow
and
just
say:
hey
show
us
how
airports
of
our
size
have
best
implemented
the
software.
E
L
M
John
they
have
a
what
they
have
is
they
call
it
1200
Arrow
TV.
So
you
basically
put
all
the
data
that
you
wanted
to
see
up
on
a
big
screen
and
it'll
show
you
the
aircraft
that
are
coming
in,
and
who's
landing
and
everything
and
it'll
roll
through
and
keep
you
up
to
date,
and
it's
for
your
Lobby
or
wherever
you
want.
Okay,
so
we've
already
talked
about
doing
that
specifically
for
arw
I.
Don't
think,
there's
any
place
to
put
it
where
it
would
benefit
hxd
at
the
moment,
but
unless.
E
More
and
I
mean
I.
K
E
Maybe
we'll
leave
it
on
the
agenda
each
month,
just
to
tell
you
you
know
we'll
talk
about
or
not
talk
about
it.
If
we've
got
something,
that's
interesting,
we'll
let
you
know,
but
it's
kind
of
new
and
exciting,
and
it's
I
think
it's
a
an
interesting
opportunity
to
have
the
type
of
software
that
that
before
now
was
almost
inaccessible.
It
was
it's
still
cutting
edge,
but
before
it
was
cutting
edge
and
extremely
expensive.
Now
it's
Cutting
Edge
and
affordable.
E
E
Well
and
that's
you
know,
I'd
say
that
we
go
to
the
state
conference
every
year
and
sometimes
the
southeast
conference
and
and
this
came
directly
from
the
state
conference
they
were,
they
were
there,
they
did
a
quick
demo
for
me
there
we
scheduled
a
follow-on
demo,
and-
and
here
we
are
today,
so
it
works.
So
if
you,
you
know
we're
talking
to
Aeronautics
commission
or
talking
to
South
Carolina
Aviation
Association,
those
connections
mean
something
and
they
really
benefit
airports
like
ours,
so
that
came
directly
from
the
conference.
This.
A
E
The
biggest
one
I
know
is
Miami
International
uses
it
really
because
it's
actually
it's
interesting.
It's
marketed
or
branded
towards
GA
aircraft
or
GA
airports
and
I
think
that's
where
they
first
first
started.
But
then
Commercial
Air
Force,
looked
at
it
and
said
we
could
really
use
this
data
as
well
and
and
I
asked
them
that
question
and
they
said
well,
Miami
has
it
as
well.
F
E
Sure
yeah
we'll
ask
that
question
and
find
out
I
think
it's
just
the
airport
but
I
don't
know
specifically
they're.
Obviously
a
lot
bigger
than
we
are
so
we'll
write
that
down
and
and
check
it
out.
Dave
I
think
that's
a
good
question.
Thanks
appreciate
it
all
right,
we'll
move
along
next
one
Russia,
okay,
so
I
do
a
staff
Spotlight
every
month
and
Marlene
is
our
Spotlight
this
month,
I
put
up
there,
don't
call
her
Tracy.
Okay,
you.
E
On
her
email,
it's
allegedly
that's
her
real
first
name,
but
don't
call
her
Tracy
call
her
Marlene,
that's
her
just
a
couple
years
ago
when
she
was
an
Air
Force
basic
training
in
San
Antonio.
E
So,
when
Somebody's
knocking
on
your
door
about
making
sure
your
agreement's
up
to
date,
it'll
be
Marlene,
so
Air
Force
veteran,
she
was
in
the
the
medical
side
of
the
Air
Force
and
with
I
think
with
some
Aviation
units.
So
she
kind
of
brings
all
of
that
experience
to
bear
in
this
position
as
well.
So
she
gave
me
a
lot
of
pictures
and
stuff
to
read
so
this
is
she
calls
this
her
Pride
and
Joy
says
her
two
boys,
her
older
son,
is
obviously
in
the
Air
Force
now
as
well.
B
E
Three
years
ago,
that
was
good
I.
E
All
right
so
anyway,
she
recently
went
to
DC
with
the
boys
and
I
want
to
include
that
picture
with
the
capital
in
the
background,
so
fun
stuff
there
next
one
all
right,
so
don't
click.
Yet
this
is
a
before
and
then
I'm
going
to
show
you
and
after,
but
a
really
interesting
fact
about
Marlene
that
I
didn't
know.
This
is
what's
fun
about
these.
Spotlights
I
learned
that
Marlene
restores
headstones,
so
click
to
the
next
one.
E
That's
not
going
to
come
out
right,
just
know
that
she
does
that
all
right
click
the
next
one,
your
grandparents
all
right.
Look
at
this
now,
I,
don't
know
if
anyone
recognizes
this
show,
but
if
you're
an
outer
banks
fan
Marlene's
famous,
she
was
on
Outer
Banks
as
an
extra
way
of
laughing
or
clapping
or
whatever
in
the
background
of
this
scene.
So
if
you're
an
outer
banks
fan,
you
may
recognize
her
face
there
next,
one,
okay.
Now
this
is
a.
What
does
she
call
This
I
Gotta?
E
Read
it
all
right,
so
this
is
called
flower
sack.
Quilts
I
have
no
idea
what
it
means,
but
I
know
the
quilting
is
extremely
intricate
and
complicated,
because
my
mom
does
it
so
I,
don't
know
where
she
gets
a
spare
time,
but
between
doing
headstones
and
everything
in
movies.
She
also
does
quilting
so
another
cool
thing
that
Marlene
does
and
next
one
and
that's
a
picture
of
Marlene
at
the
flying
frog
a
couple
of
years
ago,
I
think
the
first
year
we
moved
it
into
the
fall.
It
was
a
pretty
cool
morning.
E
So
if
she
was
dressed
for
the
occasion,
I
think
that's
all.
We
have.
E
E
So
if
you,
if
you
need
to
run
into
her,
that's
when
to
catch
her,
but
we've
got
an
awesome
team
and
I
hate
to
say
that
we're
so
small
I'm
gonna
run
out
at
folks
to
Spotlight,
but
will
soon
so
we're
going
to
get
some
new
hires
and
refresh
some
things
and
then
we'll
just.
E
We
can
have
more
Folks
up
here,
but
I
want
you
all
to
to
have
a
chance
to
meet
the
staff
too,
because
they
they're
the
ones
who
who
allow
me
to
come
up
here
and
Report.
What
I
report
to
you-
and
they
are.
You
know
by
and
large
the
reason
that
we've
been
successful,
both
airports
so
hats
off
the
Marlene.
Okay,.
H
E
Well,
today's
his
first
day
of
classes,
he
started
in
June,
okay,.
K
C
E
C
E
Was
in
very
good
company
I
will
let
you
know
all
right
on
to
arw
report.
You've
probably
read
in
the
paper
about
the
emergency
landing
we
had
out
at
Sea
Island
the
Parkway
right
across
from
Publix.
A
lot
of
things
went
right
with
that
whole
incident.
You
know,
happened
at
night
about
probably
an
hour
before
a
horrible
thunderstorm
came
through
so
at
least
when
it
occurred.
It
happened
in
decent
weather.
E
Somehow
they
brought
it
between
two
sets
of
power
lines
that
are
as
you're
driving.
They
seem
pretty
far
apart,
but
I
think
if
you're
coming
in
on
approach
into
the
parkway,
they
would
not
seem
very
far
apart.
I,
don't
think
you
can
see
those
at
night
so
by
the
grace
of
God,
they
landed
where
they
did.
E
There
wasn't
a
median
in
that
part
of
the
road
so
by
the
grace
of
God,
they
landed
where
they
did
young
trainer
and
young
student
handled
the
situation
very
well,
no
damage
and
no
injuries
and
then
Eric
thanks
to
him.
He
he
got
called
out
to
respond
to
because
it
was
an
airplane
and
I
tell
people
just
just
because
it's
an
airplane
doesn't
necessarily
mean
it's
the
airport's
business,
especially
if
it
well.
Definitely
if
it's
off
airport,
but
it's
a
good
thing.
E
They
did
because
Eric
was
able
to
go
and
get
the
tow
bar,
and
since
it
was
about
11
o'clock
in
the
evening,
he
could
tow
it
back
to
the
airport
and
not
have
to
worry
about
cutting
Wings
off
and
loading
on
a
flatbed,
and
things
like
that.
So
I'm
sure
the
aircraft
owner
is
very
happy
that
Eric
responded
and
told
it
back
to
the
airport.
E
So
anyway,
a
potentially
disastrous
situation
became
something
that
that
ended
well
and
I'm
sure
there's
lessons
to
be
learned
from
it.
But
I
just
am
thankful
that
it
that
it
went
the
way
it
did
and
that
we
had
folks
who
could
respond
and
clear
that
road
before
the
the
morning
came-
and
you
know
morning,
Rush
Hour
started
so
hats
off
to
Air
Force,
responding
to
that
another
hats
off
for
to
Eric
for
not
texting
me
until
like
five
in
the
morning.
That
was
great
I
appreciate
that.
E
So
that's
about
all
this
that
I
can
say
about
that
situation
that
we're
going
to
have
an
emergency.
That's
the
kind
to
have
so.
J
H
E
Don't
know
that
we've
got
a
cause
yet
and
I.
Don't
know
that
there's
a
there's,
not
a
formal
investigation,
so
you
know
everything
ended
well.
So
you
know
there'll,
probably
be
some
internal
debriefs
between
the
flight
school
and
the
aircraft
owner
and
you
know
more
experienced
Pilots,
but
we're
not
we're
not
party
to
that.
A
M
E
All
right
next,
one
on
there
is
for
all
you,
runners
or
people
who
know
Runners
the
flying
frog
5K.
This
would
be
our
fourth
annual
race
on
the
28th
of
October,
so
right
before
Halloween.
If
you
want
to
wear
your
costume,
you
can,
but
we
we
are
trying
to
sign
Folks
up
so
check
out
our
website.
I
know:
there's
a
link
on
there.
I
think
we
sent
out
a
link
by
social
media.
Marlene
has
a
link
to
that.
E
So,
if
you
need
to
find
out
how
to
get
involved,
get
in
touch
with
Marlene,
so
we've
got
not
only
sign
ups
for
the
runners
that
are
open,
but
if
you
want
to
sponsor
and
get
your
name
on,
the
T-shirt
feel
free
to
do
that
as
well.
E
We're
still
collecting
those,
so
certainly
all
comers
are
welcome
and
again,
when
all
is
said
and
done,
we
will
take
a
portion
of
those
proceeds
once
we've
put
seed
money
in
for
next
year's
event
and
that
will
go
to
altitude
Academy
and
that's
a
501c3
that
helps
folks
who
are
not
normally
exposed
to
Aviation,
primarily
on
Saint
Helen
Island,
underprivileged
folks
not
exposed
Aviation
to
have
classes
to
get
Discovery
flights,
and
things
like
that.
So
it's
a
great
great
organization.
E
E
We
are
trying
to
get
flyers
in
that
to
gyms
and
running
clubs
and
things
like
that
running
stores.
Anybody
who
will
post
a
flyer
if
anybody's
got
a
neighborhood,
clubhouse
Recreation
Center
that
they'd
be
interested
in
posting
a
flyer
and
we'll
get
you
in
touch
with
Marlene
and
have
you
post
those,
because
sometimes
it's
those
little
neighborhood
hubs
that
that
work
the
best
so
that
that's
the
main
thing
is
trying
to
get
them
in
those
types
of
facilities
and
then,
if
you've
seen
it
on
social
media,
please
share
it
out.
E
Yes,
we'll
get
that
out
and
we're
also
partnering
with
the
junior
service
League
of
Beaufort
and
they're
Touch-A-Truck
event,
which
will
happen
just
a
couple
hours
after
the
race
so
once
they
get
their
Market
Against
full
swing
we'll
be
included
with
theirs
as
well,
so
we'll
kind
of
cross,
pollinate
With
Their
audience
so,
but
any
other
ideas
about
where
to
get
information
out.
We
are
we're
open
to
that.
K
That
midnight
run
the
Habersham
does
I
know
it
has
a
pretty
big
following
for
that
5K
event
that
I
don't
know
how
they
do
if
they
keep
track
of
their
list
of
of
previous
Runners.
Maybe
a
way
to
you
know
share
about
information
to
get
that
information
out
to
those
Runners.
C
E
I'll
endorse
your
memo,
all
right,
so
that's
5K!
Just
so
you
know
there
is
a
couch
to
5K
program,
that's
online!
If
anybody's
interested
it,
it
works
all
right
enough
about
that
job
opportunities
we
touched
already.
So
if
we've
got
an
arw2
lineman
spots
open.
So
if
anybody's
interested
take
a
look
on
the
County
website
and
any
questions
about
arw.
A
Actually
it'll
come
up
on
the
unfinished
business,
but
I
have
one
week.
Last
month
you
made
some
changes
in
activities
at
arw
and
procedures
rates,
Etc
any
pushback,
any
feedback
from
tenants.
We've.
E
Had
a
few
just
questions
and
answers,
but
nothing
major
good
and
that
whole
list
of
of
changes
goes
in
front
of
Council
in
the
next
few
weeks
council's
been
kind
of
off
for
the
the
summer.
So
those
all
go
to
council.
The
next
on
the
28th
we
go
to
committee
and
then
September
11th
for
full
Council,
excellent.
H
John
I
went
to
the
the
event
that
the
quarterly
event
that
Eric
and
Sam
hosted
and
probably
25
people
there
and
I,
was
worried
that
it
was
going
to
be
a
little
more
confrontational
like
the
last
one,
because
this
was
after
the
fact
that
we
had
announced
the
increases,
and
it
was
a
little
bit
until
they
actually
listened
to
the
airport
staff
explained
why
these
things
are
happening,
that
they're
not
arbitrarily
trying
to
make
things
difficult
or
just
raise
prices
that
they're
so
well
constrained,
are
very
much
constrained
by
the
county
at
one
level
and
there's
always,
you
know,
there's
only
certain
things
they
can
do
and
certain
things
they
have
to
do
and
really
that
mitigated
so
much
of
the
I
guess
possible
obituary.
H
E
I
thought
it
went
really
well
good.
Thank
you
for
that
feedback.
A
E
I'm
gonna
hit
that
on
the
next
slide,
hxd
anything
else
at
Beaufort
executive.
We
do
have
some
new
merchandise
for
sale
out
there
so
used
to
the
Frog
more
so
now
we've
got
both
logos
on
a
t-shirt.
We
also
have
some
golf
shirts.
Eric
can
can
model
one
of
those
for
you,
but
they're.
They
came
out
real
Sharps
and
new
ball
caps
out
there
as
well.
So
if
you've
been
waiting
on
that
new
merchandise
is
there
so
the.
E
Pumpkin
spice
is
out
of
Dunkin
Donuts,
so
you
can
Christmas
shop
at
arw.
Okay,
all
right
all
right
on
to
hxd,
okay,
the
FAA
meeting
the
Howard
just
asked
about
I
was
at
that
one
Eric
and
Steve
took
care
of
the
meeting
out
at
arw.
E
We
talked
about
a
myriad
of
of
items
regarding
hxd,
but
the
main
thing
was
the
the
change
in
airport
Design
Group
from
C2
to
C3
at
hxd
and
what
that
means
for
the
future.
As
far
as
the
Alp
goes
and
just
you
know,
plans
project
plans
for
the
next
10
20
years.
E
There's
a
lot
of
work
to
be
done.
In
the
near
term,
though
most
of
the
discussion
was
centered
around
tax
away
foxtrot,
because
that
that
Rehabilitation
project
is
is
imminent.
We've
already
bid
the
project
and
we're
we're
able
to
hold
those
bids.
Thankfully,
but
there's
a
couple
of
mods
that
have
to
be
obtained
for
the
FAA
because
of
the
fact
that
we're
a
C3
now
instead
of
a
C2,
there's
a
lot
that
goes
into
that.
E
But
the
bottom
line
is
we're
coordinating
some
of
that
with
the
tower
staff
and
the
company
that
that
runs
a
tower,
and
then
another
part
of
that
is
is
on
us
with
just
kind
of
an
as
built
survey,
to
show
that
the
taxiway
OFA
is
100
clear
for
the
e175s,
which
we
notice.
We
just
have
to
graphically
demonstrate
that
then,
once
we
achieve
those
two
mods,
then
we
can
move
forward
with
accepting
a
grant
for
that
project.
So
we've
already
got
the
state
grant
for
that,
we're
just
waiting
on
the
Federal
grant
for
that.
E
That
was
the
the
main
piece.
We
also
spoke
about
project
Cloud,
which
is
at
proposed
development
at
the
northeast
corner
of
the
of
the
airport.
I've
submitted
some
information
to
the
FAA
so
that
they
can
review
it
from
a
compliance
standpoint,
just
to
make
sure
that
whatever
decisions
are
made,
have
the
faa's
eyeballs
on
them
from
a
just
from
that
compliance
standpoint,
because
there's
there's
things
you
don't
always
know
about
some
of
the
sponsor
assurances
and
that
so
we've
asked
them
to
take
a
close
look
at
that
and
get
us.
E
Some
feedback
await
that
and
then
finally,
we
spoke
about
Saint,
James,
Baptist
Church
and
how
we
moved
that
project
forward.
The
fa
had
some
good
advice
for
us.
The
primary
piece
of
advice
was
put
it
on
the
CIP,
so
put
our
Capital
Improvement
projects
list,
because
in
the
faa's
eyes,
until
it's
on
that
list,
it
really
doesn't
exist
for
them
to
consider
as
a
project.
So
we'll
put
it
on
our
CIP
list
so
that
our
conversations
with
them
will
will
then
have
a
little
bit
more
I
guess:
urgency
for
lack
of
a
better
term.
E
So
that
was
pretty
much.
The
FAA
meeting
has
come,
but
it's
a
quick
one
but
a
meaty
one.
On
the
any
questions
about
that
meeting.
E
All
right
and
then
part
139.
We
had
that
annual
inspection.
Last
week
the
inspector
came
down
on
Monday
and
we
had
three
days
scheduled
for
it.
It
ended
up
taking
really
just
two
days
or
kind
of
a
day
and
a
half
we're
finished
by
Tuesday,
I,
guess
kind
of
early
evening
right,
we're
long
long
night
Monday
to
do
the
night,
inspection,
Eric
and
Steve
handled
that
with
with
Dan
down
at
Hilton,
Head
and
and
things
went
pretty
well,
we've
made
a
lot
of
changes
as
far
as
record,
keeping
and
tracking
since
last
year.
E
They
seem
to
like
that.
The
system
that
we
have
set
up
there's
always
a
few
little
things
that
you
have
to
address.
We
haven't
had
our
official
out
brief,
yet
with
any
of
the
discrepancies
that
they
want
us
to
take
a
look
at
so
we're
waiting
that
final
report
and
when
we
do
we'll
address
whatever
items
the
inspector
found
that
we
need
to
work
on.
So
all.
E
Good
event,
I,
don't
know
if
you
guys
have
anything
else
to
add
to
that,
but
I
think
a
big
Improvement
and
we
showed
a
lot
of
growth
over
last
year.
Just
the
main
thing
was
record,
keeping
and
being
able
to
prove
that
training
happened
when
it
was
supposed
to
happen
and
that
sort
of
thing
next
one
terminal
contract.
E
K
Yep
that
pipeline
I,
just
out
of
curiosity
so
like
you're,
like
your
DHEC,
permitting
and
things
like
that,
have
those
all
been
done
ahead
of
time.
So,
basically
it's
they're
they're
everything
else
is
approved.
It's
really
just
a
construction
project
right.
A
B
E
E
None
More
Than
Me
Howard
that
I
can
promise
you
all
right.
Next,
one
is
the
RBC
Heritage.
The
reason
I
want
to
bring
this
up
is
that
I
just
had
a
chamber
board
meeting
two
days
ago
and
Steve
Wilmont
who's.
The
tournament
director
and
I
have
been
in
pretty
close
coordination
about
how
to
bring
our
airport
into
that
tournament
more
how
to
bring
that
tournament
on
to
the
airport
more,
as
you
remember
last
year,
it
was,
it
was
called
an
elevated
event.
E
This
year
it's
called
a
signature
event,
there's
only
eight
Signature
Events
on
the
entire
tour,
and
we
have
one
of
them.
So
we're
going
to
have
some
top-notch
players.
We
don't
have
enough
airport
for
all
the
top-notch
players.
We
need
to
find
out
a
way
to
make
this
airport
the
very
best
it
can
be
for
that
terminal.
E
We
need
to
start
now
because
it's
in
April
so,
in
my
opinion,
we're
behind
the
power
curve
already
I'm
trying
to
work
with
Steve
and
PGA
planning
to
figure
out
how
to
make
sure
those
players
know
that
they
can
fly
directly
to
the
tournament.
By
coming
to
our
airport,
I
was
able
to
see
the
Manifest
of
all
the
players
last
year
and
where
they
came
from,
and
we
serve
a
lot
of
those
airports
with
direct
flights,
so
they
should
be
coming
right
to
us
not
to
our
neighbor
in
another
state.
E
So
we're
going
to
work
on
that,
but
a
lot
of
that
has
to
do
with
working
with
PGA,
because
the
players
don't
put
their
travel
PGA
books
for
them.
So
we're
going
to
work
together
on
that,
but
I
told
Steve
I
said
whatever
you
come
up
with.
Let
me
know
if
you
want
the
Airfield
painted
plaid,
we
will
paint
the
Airfield
plaid
I
think
that
we
need
to
do
everything
we
can
to
be
the
airport
for
this
event
and
I,
don't
know
exactly
what
that
means.
A
A
K
K
If
you
watch
a
full
swing
they
partner
together,
you
know
they're
flying
together
because
they're
they
they
good
players
want
to
be
around
and
I
shouldn't,
say:
good
players,
excellent
players,
Top
Notch
players
tend
to
hang
out
together
and
live
around
each
other
until
they'll
share
that,
but
your
other
part
of
the
than
the
other
group
of
players
is
getting
them
to
know
and
they're
not
going
to
come
into
signature.
K
Signature
is
then
going
to
be
for
the
rest
of
us
that
are
coming
to
the
event
from
somewhere
else
that
are
going
to
come
in
and
watch
it
and
leave,
or
you
know,
are
already
kind
of
second
home
Hilton.
Head
residents
I
think
the
PGA,
starting
with
the
PGA,
if
there,
which
is
something
I
learned
if
they're
booking
that
travel
for
those
players,
is
to
make
sure
they
understand.
Hey,
that's
a
direct.
You
can
get
a
direct
flight
right
into
right
into
Hilton.
K
Head,
you
know
versus
Charleston
or
Savannah
will
be
the
other
two
places
that
we
think
they'd
be
coming
in.
I
think
that
would
be.
The
number
one
place
is
working
with
the
PGA
PGA.
D
K
B
D
E
E
Thank
you
and
I
will
tell
you
Dave.
You
probably
know
this,
but
the
town
did
step
in
last
year
with
the
banners
and
that
around
the
around
the
terminal-
and
that
was
fantastic,
so
we'll
look
to
increase
that
partnership.
G
E
L
Here
that
may
be
something
that
nobody's
thought
about,
but
these
players
fly
to
either
Savannah
or
Charleston.
Those
airports
have
more
than
one
Runway
that
they
can
land
on.
We
only
have
one
Runway
built
in
that
airport
and
we're
only
one
disabled
aircraft
away
from
shutting
the
airport
down.
We
had
an
incident
a
year
and
a
half
ago
where
the
airport
was
closed
for
almost
15
hours,
because
an
airplane
was
stuck
on
a
run.
Is
there
a
mechanism
in
place
to
deal
with
that.
E
That's
a
great
Point
Brian
we've
got.
We
actually
have
some
equipment
that
we've
put
on
our
Capital
list
on
the
budget
this
year.
So
hopefully
we'll
have
some
of
that
in
place,
but
that
I
think,
even
if
we
have
that
I
think
we
ought
to
coordinate
early
with
signature
to
make
sure
that
they
can
support
us
too,
because
a
lot
of
times
it's
it's
their
equipment,
their
tugs
that
we
use.
E
We
had
a
an
airplane
this
week
that
the
blue
Tire
on
landing
and
with
signature,
was
out
there
in
no
time
to
to
tug
that
off
of
the
runway.
So
great
Point
I'll
have
Steve
kind
of
make
note
of
that
and
and
we'll
follow
up
and
that's
a
great
thing
to
prepare
for.
E
All
right
so
everybody's
in
to
help
right
come
up
with
some
ideas:
we're
going
to
work
together
between
us
and
town,
the
county
and
Steve
at
the
RBC,
Heritage
or
Heritage
Classic
foundation
in
the
chamber,
and
we're
going
to
make
this
a
pretty
cool
event.
So,
even
if.
F
E
A
All
right,
thank
you,
John
any
unfinished
business
from
the
board.
No,
we
already.
We
have
not
discussed
yet
hearing
none
John,
not
much
of
a
rest.
E
Okay,
a
couple
action
items
today:
first
one
is
a
recommendation
to
approve
a
commercial
operating
agreement,
actually
not
I'm,
going
to
change
that
I'm,
not
calling
commercial
operating
group
I'm
going
to
call
it
I'm
going
to
call
it
an
interim
shuttle
agreement.
That's
in
effect
what
it
is.
It
will
be
a
commercial
operating
agreement
of
sorts
with
this
specific
company,
but
it's
going
to
be
a
letter
of
agreement
with
a
company
called
The
Best
of
Hilton
Head
and
what
they
do
is
provide
a
shuttle
service.
E
So
an
on-call
shuttle
service,
not
a
taxi,
not
an
Uber,
not
a
lift,
but
a
shuttle
service,
not
unlike
a
limo
service,
and
we
did
not
have
a
policy
in
place
to
deal
with
that.
There
have
not
really
been
a
demand
for
that
service.
I
approached
the
resort
several
years
ago
about
it,
but
there
was
really
no
appetite
for
it.
A
private
company
approached
us
and
then
a
couple
more
approached
us
and
they're
interested
in
in
providing
a
shuttle
service,
the
augment
taxis
and
and
tnc's.
E
It's
roughly
similar
in
that
it
follows
the
same
Cadence,
so
to
speak
of
the
agreement
with
the
normal
terms
in
there
it's
a
little
bit
different
because
it
is
a
shuttle
agreement,
but
it's
in
step
with
other
shuttle
agreements
at
similar
airports.
So
what
we
did
was
reach
out
to
other
airports
who
are
like
us
and
kind
of
got
their
feedback
and
I
went
out
on
the
triple
a
hub
as
well
and
solicited
input
from
other
airports.
So
we've
we've
cobbled
together.
E
I
If
you
can't
hear
me
yeah,
you.
I
Come
over
here,
yeah
Howard,
thanks
for
the
question
they
they
are
residents
of
Hilton
Head
and
they
have
another
business
dealing
with
fishing
and
charter
boats
and
that's
where
he
recognized
the
need
of
his
customers
and
so
he's
adding
to
that
business
with
shuttle
service
to
get
people
on
Island
from
where
they
are
to
where
they
need
to
go.
They
wanted
to
incorporate
the
airport.
He
saw
that
and
eat
they're.
A
A
Just
Marcus,
thank
you
any
further
discussion.
All
in
favor,
please
signify
by
saying
aye.
A
Hearing
none
that
motion
passes
and
just
a
reminder
to
board
members
when
John
sends
out
this
stuff
when
proxy
sends
out
this
stuff,
I'm
hoping
you're
reading
it,
because
we
are
voting
on
it.
Your
names
go
on
an
approval
list
that
says
the
council
that
the
airport
board
voted
on
it.
So
please
take
time
and
read
this
stuff
before
coming
to
the
meeting.
E
All
right,
the
next
one
is
and
you've
seen
this
one
at
Hilton
Head
Island
airport
before,
but
this
is
a
Buford
executive.
This
is
the
company
known
as
Go
Rentals
and
what
they
are
is
a
car
rental
company
and
they
serve
only
general
aviation
population,
so
they're
also
linked
in
with
plain
sense
and
wheels
up
and
some
of
the
other
Charter
services
and
netjets,
and
what
they
do
is
they.
They
provide
nicer
rental
cars
to
the
the
flying
population.
E
It's
not
open
to
a
to
a
walk-up
group
or
you
know,
folks,
are
driving
in
and
just
want
to
rent
a
car
for
a
weekend.
It
is
not
open
to
them.
It's
rather
exclusive
to
the
aviation
community
and
they
are
very
enthusiastic
about
operating
at
arw.
They
see
a
need
there.
We
see
a
need
there.
They'll
have
a
couple
of
cars
at
the
airport,
so
we
don't
have
to
wait
on
cars
that
come
across
town
and
they're
very
helpful
in
you
know,
setting
up
reservations
and
helping
our
staff
help
them.
A
D
K
E
M
Let
them
know
it
came
back,
they'll
come
out
clean
it
and
they
cleaned
it.
Every
day,
anyways
they'll
get
the
last
mileage
and
close
it
out
and
then,
if
you
were
to
go
online
and
book
it
ahead
of
time,
they're
going
to
send
me
an
email
to
the
arw
or
our
whole
team
at
arw,
an
email
that
says:
hey
I've
got
John
Smith
coming
in
he's
on
this
tail
number.
M
B
M
B
J
Right
I'm
gonna
say
that's
just
a
point
to
remember.
Also
parking
lot
is
is
limited,
especially
since
we
have
aircraft
owners.
You
know
parking
over
the
parking
lot.
Are
we
going
to
expand
the
parking
lot
or
are
we
going
to
improve
the
parking
lot?
We.
E
Are
going
to
improve
the
parking
lot
that'll
happen,
probably
in
the
next
two-ish
two
three
okay
weeks
months
of
months
right,
two
three
months
couple
months,
so
it's
not
gonna
be
the
entire
parking
lot
that
gets
redone,
but
the
trouble
area
is
right
up
front
with
the
tree
tree,
stumps
gone
and
those
spots
where
we
did
have
a
couple,
other
trees
removed.
Those
will
all
be
repaved.
K
E
A
All
right
any
other
questions
to
John
on
this
on
this
on
the
car
rental,
no
I'll
accept
a
motion
to
approve
the
commercial
operating
agreement
between
Beaufort
County
and
as
it
is
it,
the
giddy
bin.
How
do
they
pronounce
it?
We.
K
E
A
I
have
thank
you,
sir.
Thank
you,
John
nice
job
as
usual,
so
just
a
little
update
for
me,
Leslie
is
not
here.
So
I
will
give
you
a
brief
s.
The
ambassador
program
going
on
at
Hilton
Head
airport,
which
is
she's,
organized
very
well
and
is
working
out
extremely
well,
benefiting
both
the
passengers
arriving
and
departing,
as
well
as
some
of
our
other
employees
in
TSA
and
security,
who
are
somewhat
relieved
from
some
of
the
more
tedious
questions
that
they
get
interrupted
with.
So
we've
had
a
good
turnout
for
volunteers
this
year.
A
Hopefully
Leslie
will
continue
to
organize
it
for
next
year,
maybe
with
a
little
bit
of
a
larger
presence.
I
think
the
only
drawback
there
is
that
when
the
airport
really
gets
crowded
on
Saturdays
on
the
on
during
the
summer
months,
even
with
the
brightly
colored
and
nice
looking
shirts
that
all
volunteers
received,
we
get
kind
of
lost
in
the
in
the
shuffle,
but
other
than
that
good
program.
Good
idea
and
I
think
working
out
very
well.
A
It
is
my
intent
and
I've
had
a
very
preliminary
conversation
with
the
county
to
try
and
update
some
of
the
enabling
legislation
that
creates
our
board.
I
went
at
this
a
little
bit
last
year,
I
had
a
very
brief
discussion
with
John
kind
of
Let
It
Drop,
but
the
since
the
enabling
legislation
was
created
when
our
airports
were
very
different
than
the
board
makeup
and
the
island
was
very
different.
A
I
think
it's
time
to
review
some
of
the
qualifications
necessary
to
be
a
member
of
the
board,
actually
broadening
it
somewhat
and
make
a
little
less
restrictive,
but
still
find
Qualified
members,
so
I
will
be
producing
that
I
will
send
it
around
to
board
members.
Give
you
a
chance
to
comment
down
and
I'll,
send
it
on
to
John,
of
course,
and
his
office
will
have
a
chance
to
comment
on
it
and
then
the
procedure
I
have
the
procedure
for
taking
this
through,
and
it
is
a
it's
not
a
short-term
process
with
the
county.
A
But
there
is
a
procedure
for
getting
it
done
so
that
you
should
have
that
information
in
about
a
week
and
a
half
or
two
weeks
and
then
John
a
week
or
so
after
that
and
then
we'll
see
how
we
proceed.
In
addition,
I've
had
a
preliminary
conversation
with
the
county
with
respect
to
electronic
attendance
at
all
meetings
during
covet.
A
As
you
know,
the
electronic
attendance
was
very
important
and
became
a
Mainstay
of
not
only
the
County
Council,
but
for
committees
and
and
Boards
as
well,
there's
no
longer
a
requirement
that
we
offer
a
zoom
or
electronic
means
for
attending,
and
it's
my
intent
after
I
once
again
circulate
to
board
members
for
opinions
is
to
remove
the
option
of
attending
and
escrow
board
members
to
get
together
on
a
regular
basis.
We
seem
to
have
a
pattern
that
is
developed.
A
That
lessens
our
attendance
from
some
Beaufort
people
over
at
Hilton,
Head
and
lesser
attendance
from
some
of
our
Hilton
Head
people
over
at
Buford.
We
do
better
when.
A
Person
we
get
more
discussion
on
today
and
frankly,
today's
discussion
was
excellent,
so
I'll
be
sending
a
note
about
looking
for
some
feedback
from
board
members
and
if
they're
feeling
is
to
go
ahead,
I
have
a
the
county
route
to
pursue
that
as
well.
Just
a
reminder
to
our
board
members
that
we
are
entitled
to
three
absences
from
board
members
during
the
course
of
the
year.
It
is
not
excused
versus
unexcused,
it
is
absences
period.
A
K
The
only
thing
we
we
did
not
have
a
meeting
this
week
or
this
month
in
between
board
means
I
think
David
did
a
good
job
on
updating.
Since
he
made
the
pilots
meeting,
the
only
thing
I
would
ask
I,
don't
think
we've
set
the
quarterly
Pilots
meeting
yet
for
the
next
quarter.
Is
that
correct,
Eric?
The.
M
M
A
D
K
A
F
I
do
I
do
David,
it's
been
a
while
since
John's
come
to
the
town
council
meeting
and
brought
Council
up
to
speed
on
what's
been
happening.
So
John
when
you
feel
comfortable,
you've
got
some
news
that
you
want
to
share
with
Town
Council,
let's
schedule
a
meeting
and
I'm
thinking
that
maybe
included
in
what
you
say
to
Town
Council
is
that
next
Heritage
is
going
to
be
a
big
event
and
all
hands
on
deck.
Etc.
F
I
I'm
really
thinking
that
terminal
and
then
end
of
the
summer
statistics
and
anything
you
else
you
have
that
you
feel
would
be
beneficial
for
the
community
community
to
know.
A
Guys
I'm
going
to
sign
off
now
all
right
take
care.
David
I
do
one
other
thing
just
to
let
the
board
know
we
still
have
one
vacant
seat
for
a
Hilton,
Head
side
person,
a
south
of
the
broad
person,
Tom
and
I,
had
interviewed
four
very
well
qualified
candidates.
Over
the
last
two
or
three
weeks,
we've
made
our
recommendation.
Thomas
brought
that
recommendation
or
is
bringing
it
to
the
finance
committee,
which
is
where
it
has
to
go
first.
The
finance
committee
will
then
bring
it
to
the
County
Council
on
September
11th.
A
So
it
is
possible
that
by
the
September
meeting
we
will
have
fill
the
Hilton
Head
vacancy.
We
should
be
of
full
strength
and
we
have
another
candidate
who
should
also
be
approved
for
the
arw
side
by
that
September
11th
meeting.
So
we
should
be
in
full
strength
by
September
so
and
we
have
three
or
four
good
candidates
still
waiting
in
the
wings.
If
anybody
has
too
many
conflicts
or.
C
A
All
right,
we
have
our
public
comment
period
once
again
available,
not
a
lot
of
public
today.
So
with
that
I'll
accept
a
motion
to
adjourn
the
meeting
and
remind
everybody,
Thursday
September,
21st,
1
30.
Hilton
Head
is
our
next
board
meeting.
Please
if
you
are
not
attending,
please
let
the
director's
office
know
let
copy
me.
We
need
to
ensure
each
month
that
we
have
a
quorum
to
get
our
business
done.
