beaumont,

water
works

sewer
system,

refunding

and
one
or
more
series
or
sub-series

designated
authorizing
each
of
the
mayor,
the
city
manager
and
the
chief
financial
officer
to
approve
the
amounts,
interest

and
terms
thereof,

relating
there
to
providing
for
the
payment
thereof.

bottom
line.
There
is
an
opportunity
to
refinance
outstanding
bonds
of
the
city's
water
and
sewer
system
to
reduce
the
interest
rate
on
those
bonds
and
help
to
reduce
your
annual
debt
service
cost
debt
service
burdens
on
those
outstanding
bonds.
And
so
what
we're
looking
at
authorizing
here
today
is
for
the
city
to
be
able
to
refinance
the
series
2014
a
and
2015
a
water
works
and
sewer
system
revenue
bonds.

Over
the
course
of
the
remaining
life
of
these
bonds
that
refinancing
those
the
term
of
those
bonds
goes
out
to
approximately
2034.,
so
we're
looking
at
between
about
a
little
over
2
million
and
3
million
dollars
in
total
savings
for
the
city
over
the
life
of
this
refinancing.
So
we're
trying
to
get
out
there
into
the
market
to
be
able
to
lock
in
interest
rates,
hopefully
before
the
fed
starts,
raising
long-term
rates
on
us
or
starts
raising
rates
on
us.

it's
a
what
we
call
a
parameter
sale.

we're
asking
that

gas

transit
station,

they
gave
us

little
time

to
buy
a
new
van
right
now,

we
still
need
to
be
able
to
get
fuel
from
the
transit
station
from
the
bus

note
that
in
2019
the
uss
alabama
outside
of
mobile
had
over
400
000
visitors
that
year,
and
I
think
we
could
certainly
exceed
that
if
we
got
the
uss
texas
here
in
beaumont
and
that
would
do
tremendous
things
to
the
downtown
economy.

also
want
to
announce
that
the
homeless
shelters
that
we've
been
following
now
for
a
couple
of
years
are
open
and
they
opened
sunday.

had

privilege
of
keeping
them

babies

mother
and
I
work
together
but

see
him

be
that
successful

beaumont

many
great
athletes
from
beaumont

looking
at
our
parks
in
different
situations,
we're
going
to
begin
to
capitalize
on
a
lot
of
those
things
in
the
future.

I
were
in
the
office

him
and
had
great
conversation,
and
it
was
just
great
to
have
the
cup
there
and
to
see
the
cup
and
I'm
sure
many
people
around
the
city
got
an
opportunity
to
see
it.
He
was
allowed
to
travel
around
with
it
and
he
signed
his
new
2022
contract
on
my
desk
in
my
office.
So
that
was
a
privilege
and
I
also
want

westbrook

also
to
beaumont
united
