From YouTube: City Council Meeting Nov. 23, 2021 Part 2 | City of Beaumont, TX

Description

Vision Workshop:

The city has created a new communications division to keep the public informed on things that matter to them. They’re considering other options to accept payments, ways to improve curb appeal, enforcement of code violations, and the process for red-tagged buildings to be demolished. Other items discussed were: the pros and cons of the Battleship Texas, exploring the opportunity for economic development incentives, and placing defibrillators in public buildings.
The council decided to proceed with creating a Master Plan for possible amenities on the Riverfront.
So you know, the budget is approved annually in September. Any proposed changes or amendments for new projects or programs must have a vote of at least four council members. The majority of these items will be discussed further in upcoming workshops, which will be open to the public. Stay tuned!
