✨WHAT YOU MISSED AT COUNCIL✨
Agenda Items of Interest:
✔️ Heard a Legislative Update Presentation from HillCo Partners on the various bills in the house and the senate that may impact us from economic development incentives to potential mental health programs and HOT tax dollars to home rule and how the state may spend the surplus money. The Legislative session ends 5/29.
✔️­Heard a presentation on Intersection Aesthetics from TxDOT. They presented three design options for the retaining walls at the Cardinal and East Texas interchange projects and a Maury Meyers Memorial at I-10.
✔️ Accepted the proposed settlement of Entergy’s 2022 base rate case which was negotiated down to about a $14/month increase for customers.
✔️ Held a public hearing on the Public Services and Public Facilities and Improvements line items of the Consolidated Grant Program’s 2023 Annual Action Plan and voted to adopt the Consolidated Grant Program’s 2023 Annual Action Plan
