Day

like

a
salute

our
nation's

resolution
authorizing
the
city
manager

contract

barricades
unlimited
of
Lubbock
for
the
city-wide
pavement
markings
phase
two
project
phase
two
project
consists
of
removal
and
installation
of
payment
markets
on
on
several
Street,
more
than
several
streets
in
the
City
of
Beaumont.
There's
a
bid
from
barricades
unlimited
for
699
671.52,
and
this
funding
would
come
from
the
capital
program.
Street
rehabilitation
program
and
staff
is
recommending
the
approval
of
the
resolution.

council
approval
resolution
appointing
members
to
the
ad
hoc,
downtown
planning
and
advisory
committee.
As
you
remember,
city
council
approved
the
the
the
creation
of
a
downtown
planning.
An
ad
hoc
committee
staff
was
charged
going
back
and
getting
some
names
in
place
and
recommendations
for
Council
to
consider.
This
was
a
part
of
a
fulfillment
of
a
contract
that
the
city
had
entered
into
what
they
Prospect
with
the
buyer
with
with
an
owner.

I

think
the
the
description
in
the
background
is

not
quite
accurate
in
the
way
that
we
are
coming
up
with
the
people
on
the

This
was

council
member
appointed

member
and

mayor

together

the
administration.

top

that
would
be
approximate
widths

my
street
is
28
feet
and
the
length
of
around
6430
feet,
serving
as
a
Gateway
from
from
Delaware
to
Calder.
For
for
people
to
get
to
work,
people
see
my
street
as
a
cutaway
and
they
take
advantage
of
it.
My
dad
started
to
walk
on
Thomas
Road
for
exercise
and
due
to
the
speeding
him
and
other
residents
soon
stopped
this.

This
issue
does
not
just
apply
to
walkers
but
to
car
accidents
as
well
there
as
many
many
car
accidents
and
collisions
at
the
Gladys,
Avenue
and
and
Thomas
Road
intersection
people
running
red
lights
and
speeding
are
the
root
causes
of
these
accidents.
My
mom
and
I
ran
the
car
one
time
and
we
were
at
the
same
intersection
when
our
light,
when
our
light
turned
green.
My
mom
did
not
go
right
away
because
she
looked.

Okay
and
I
believe
that
I
would
like
you
to
take
that
into
consideration.
Also
I
believe
a
speed
cop
on
Thomas
would
also
be
a
very
effective
measure,
as
as
just
one
cup
would
would
pull
over
many
many
cars
on
the
street,
and
it
would
at
high
points
of
the
day
and
get
many
speaking
tickets,
making
people
a
little
bit
more
hesitant
to
speed.

My
third
proposal
is
to
put
sidewalks
on
our
road
to
allow
more
people,
encourage
people
to
walk
and
make
it
safer
to
people
to
walk,
be
and
with
SARS
with
our
straight
and
its
residents,
paying
the
amount
of
taxes
that
it
does.
I
believe
that
sidewalk
should
be
implemented
into
our
street
in
order
to
to
enact
better
safety
and
and
to
for
drivers
and
citizens.

I'm

just

a
point
of
information,
I
know
that
on
the
last
agenda,
I
did
not
see
where
there
was
an
appointment
for
the
two
city
managers.
So
I'm
wondering
I
know
that
we
advertised
for
a
city
manager.
There
does
not
need,
or
there
should
not
be
or
will
not
be
an
advertisement.
It's
an
appointment
for
this
two
City
assistant
managers.
I
know
that
we
have
three
personnel
companies
that
have
been
contracted
for
the
city.

community
knows,
Chris
Matthews
passed
away
on
Sunday
morning,

Well,
the
accident
took
place
at

A.M,
but
he
passed
away
at
later
on
October
the
30th
the
funeral
was
held
this
last
Saturday
November,
the
12th
our
community
came
together
to
remember
this
young
man.
I
would
like
to
ask
the
the
community
just
to
be
in
prayer
for
Corliss
and
the
father
Christopher
and
their
entire
family.

can
understand
that
it's
difficult
to
lose
a
young
man
like
this
in
untimely
death
much
too
early
and
such
a
tragic
death
and
to
lose
him
and
now
with
the
family
and
friends
gone.
This
is
when
the
real
grieving
begins
when
they're
all
alone,
and
they
have
nothing
but
their
memories
of
him.
This
is
the
tough
time
so
I
just
covet
the
prayers
of
the
community
for
the
Matthews
family
in
the
coming
weeks
and
months.

been
working
on

Beaumont

Westbrook,

improve
the
city
and
give
us
advice
from
a
younger
perspective
on
things
that
that
type
of
demographic
will
be
concerned
with
so
I
want
to
thank
the
entire
Council
for
supporting
this
initiative.

bring
up
is
with
regard
to
our
public
speaker
guidelines
and
the
decorum
policies
that
we
have.
It's
been
some
time
since
we've
looked
at
that
and
I'd
like
to
request
a
workshop
on
that

there's
some
best
practices
that
other
cities
are
using,
that
we
may
want
to
incorporate
into
what
we
do
here
in
Beaumont
and
if
another
council
member
wants
to
second.

sympathize
with

the
neighbors
that
live
off
of
RFD
Road
and
with
all
of
the
construction.
We
have
we've
gotten
a
lot
of
calls
because
it's
just
the
traffic
is
just
going
to
increase,
and
so
we
will
be
looking
at
that
and
hopefully
get
back
to
you
with
the
study.
But

I

like

say
last
night
we
attended
award
for
a
neighborhood
association
meeting.
As
you
know,
there
was
a
major
major
incident
in
Ward
4
off
of
fondville
Street.
Those
neighbors
did
come
out
on
last
night
to
get
some
answers
to
the
shooting
that
happened
on
their
street
twice
in
one
week,
but
they
were
able
to
get
some
great
feedback.
I
want
to
thank
staff
for
showing
up
and
for
the
neighbors
that
did
come
out
right
as
the
meeting
was
starting.

rain
started
to
downpour,
but
nevertheless
the
meeting
went
forward.
It
was
very
productive.
I
want
to
thank
Mr
Williams
for
coming
out
and
mayor
Pro
Tim
Duryea,
who
was
there
last
night
and
councilmember
Turner
the
neighbors
and
the
citizens
got
the
information
that
they
were
looking
for.
So
it
was
a
very
productive
meeting
also
on
this
Friday,
it's
the
50th
anniversary
of
The
Godfather,
so
they
will
be
showing
The
Godfather
the
Jefferson
Theater,
with
the
organ
plan
and
yeah,
because
you're
not
even
you're
in
Taylor.
A
Veterans
Day
was
this
weekend
and
it
was
a
great
celebration
at
the
Rogers
Visitor
Center
and,
as
always,
thank
our
veterans
for
the
job
that
they've
done,
and
they
continue
to
do
so
salute
to
them
and
with
nothing
else,
we
will
recess
into
executive
session.
