Hello,
my
name
is
jeff
rose
and
the
superintendent
here
in
the
beaverton
school
districts-
and
I
am
here
in
our
timberland
community,
standing
on
the
site
of
what
will
be
our
new
middle
school.
So
I
want
to
start
by
thanking
our
community
without
your
support
and
generous
vote.
None
of
this
would
be
possible
soon.
This
will
be
a
middle
school
teeming
with
students
and
we
can't
wait.
We
have
been
extremely
busy
this
summer.
Not
only
do
we
have
multiple
projects
occurring,
but
we
have
many
more
to
come.
B
Hello,
my
name
is
sherry
Stanley
I'm,
the
administrator
for
facilities,
development
heading
up
the
bond
I
like
to
echo
Jeff's
earlier
comments
and
say
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
investing
in
our
community,
both
in
the
short
term
putting
thousands
of
people
back
to
work
and,
in
the
long
term,
building
an
even
stronger
school
district,
enriching
our
community,
both
now
and
for
years
to
come.
Wien
facilities
development
are
honored
to
be
working
alongside
architects,
engineers
and
contractors,
building
new
schools
and
renovating
and
repairing
others.
The
bond
accountability
committee
made
up
of
professionals.

B
Some
trees
were
felled,
but
more
than
750
trees
will
be
planted.
Old
structures
on
the
property
were
brought
down
and
some
of
them
very
carefully.
So
the
old
barn
was
dismantled
board
by
board
and
much
of
it
will
be
used
in
the
interior
of
the
new
high
school
grading
began
in
July
with
the
largest
piece
of
equipment.
Caterpillar
makes
the
d11,
which
pushes
60
yards
of
Earth
at
a
time
in
order
to
avoid
placing
more
portables
at
raleigh
hills
k8
and
to
address
some
safety
issues
in
the
gym.
B
We've
actually
gotten
started
on
a
couple
of
components
that
were
part
of
a
larger
project
slated
for
much
later
in
the
bond
program.
This
summer
we
added
classroom
and
staff
spaces
where
there
used
to
be
one
of
the
covered
play
areas.
Care
was
taken
to
make
this
edition
look
as
though
it's
always
been
there.
Even
the
beautiful
wood
wainscot
that
is
lined
the
halls
for
decades
has
been
replicated
in
the
new
hallways
of
the
addition.
We've
also
renovated
the
gym
ceiling,
which
posed
potential
safety
concerns.
B
Removal
of
the
old
ceiling
tiles
has
exposed
the
beautiful
wood
trusses
that
were
constructed
about
50
years
ago.
The
most
ambitious
renovation
this
summer
was
the
remodel
of
the
capital
center.
The
east
side
of
this
building
has
received
seismic
upgrades,
a
new
roof
and
a
new
heating
ventilation
and
air
conditioning
system.
A

for
the

transition
program.
Former
Deer
Park
Academy
students
have
moved
from
their
portables
on
the
site
for
the
central
administration
office
to
their
new
space
called
bridges.
B
Academy
additional
phases
of
this
project
will
continue
through
the
fall,
and
they
include
the
relocation
of
the
School
of
Science
and
Technology,
and
a
new
the
center
Jacob
Whismur
and
Sexton
mountain
have
new
fire
alarm
systems.
30
of
our
schools
have
new
phone
systems.
Increasing
communication
and
improving
safety
sunset
high
school's
auditorium
has
had
old
and
failing
wiring
replaced
and
has
new
locker
rooms
that
alleviate
title
nine
issues
and
have
better
ventilation.
Springville
ka
got
a
new
covered
play
area.

A
Want
to
end
by
thanking
our
community
once
again
without
your
support
of
this
bond,
none
of
this
would
be
possible.
We
will
continue
to
update
you
as
well
as
our
bond
accountability
committee,
and
if
you
are
interested
in
more
information,
please
visit
our
website
as
well
as
Facebook
page
the
rest
of
my
afternoon,
I'm
going
to
be
taking
a
visit
to
myself
throughout
the
site
and
I'm
excited
about
it.
Take
care.
