My
favorite
part
of
working
in
schools
is
probably
working
with
children
and
sometimes
even
with
the
special
ed
children
kind
of
makes
me
feel
a
little
rewarding
about
being
able
to
help
kids.
I
started
subbing
about
a
year
ago
for
the
beerton
school
district.
I
really
enjoy
working
with
children
a
lot
and
my
kids
were
getting
older.
I
had
one
in
elementary
school
and
one
in
middle
school
and
I
still
wanted
to
stay
connected
to
the
community
and
working
with
kids.
So
I
thought
substituting
would
be
a
great
way
to
do
that.
C
I
actually
worked
as
a
custodial
sub
for
a
couple
months
before
I
got
hired
on
as
a
full-time
custodian
night
custodian
urged
them
to
apply.
You
know
to
get
their
foot
in
the
door
as
a
sub
and
they'll
hire
on,
as
you
just
you
know,
show
them
that
your
your
work,
ethics,
I.
A
Did
the
career
corporate
job
beforehand
and
then
I
had
kids
and
now
I
still
want
that
flexibility
so
being
able
to
say
I
can
work
every
monday
or
I
can't
work
this
week
at
all
or
my
child's
sick
or
we're
going
on
vacation.
It
gives
me
extreme
flexibility
to
be
able
to
control
my
own
personal
schedule.
Sometimes
I
get
booked
for
a
whole
week
for
subbing
so
that
one
job
will
take
up
the
whole
week.
But
then
sometimes
it's
just
two
or
three
days
a
week.
B
A
B
Enjoy
working
with
the
students
and
being
able
to
help
them
with
their
issues.
One
position
that
I
tend
to
get
called
back
for
a
lot
is
reception
and
health
room
at
the
high
school
that
my
kids
go
to,
and
I
really
like
it
because
I
feel
like
I
have
these
little
miniature
all
day,
long
little
tiny,
miniature
issues
that
come
up
and
things
problems
that
I
get
to
help
solve
for
the
kids
and-
and
I
can
be
that
sort
of
kind-
helpful
voice
during
the
day
that
they
might
not
get
somewhere
else.
