Community
partnerships
make
our
schools
stronger.
Community
partnerships
allow
our
students
to
see
learning
beyond
the
classroom.
We
set
on
a
path
where
we
needed
to
work
with
partners
to
bring
capital,
human
capital
and
resources
in
the
building.
So
our
students
can
have
a
broader
understanding
of
what
stem
and
steam
look
like.
So
that
began
a
conversation
with
our
with
our
parent
community,
with
our
local
partners,
with
places
where
our
parents
worked
a.
B
Community
Partnership
team
is
a
group
of
people
from
our
community
that
support
each
and
every
school.
It's
not
just
solidified
in
our
policy,
but
it's
also
based
upon
the
belief
that
we,
as
in
employees
of
the
school
district,
can't
do
it
alone.
A
partnership
team
would
include
somebody
from
the
faith-based
community,
some
civic
leaders
in
our
community
patrons
who
may
not
even
have
children
in
our
schools
and,
of
course,
parents
I
met.

Get
an
academic
picture
at
school
and
it's
really
important
to
get
some
real-life
experiences
and
I
think
that's
what
community
partners
can
provide.
My
name's
rose
high
beer
and
I'm
of
the
co-founder
wisdom
of
the
elders.
We've
been
doing
projects
over
at
beaverton
for
a
few
years,
and
so
we've
been
teaching
summerfield
science
camps
over
there
and
the
principal
heard
about
us
and
wanted
to
know
if
we
would
be
willing
to
share
some
of
our
wisdom
and
knowledge
to.
A
Work
me
do
with
our
eighth
meters,
around
Native,
American,
storytelling
and
looking
at
local
indigenous
peoples
and
what
the
environment
looked
like
when
local
peoples
lived
here
before
Beaverton
resettled,
rolling
that
into
science.
The
partnerships
that
we
have
with
our
after-school
mentoring
program,
many
volunteers
come
in
because
of
that
that
connection
they
have
from
a
previous
activity.
Some.
E
A
Are
not
meant
to
be
here
from
eight
o'clock
until
four
o'clock
schools
are
meant
to
be
part
of
a
community
where
people
can
access
and
people
can
engage.
So
what
we've
done
is
we've
created
these
local
partnerships
that
our
students
are
connected
with
and
so
for
us
it's
important
to
keep
that
at
the
forefront,
so
our
students
feel
part
of
something
bigger
than
school
itself.
