The
secret
is
in
kids,
knowing
where
they
are
and
where
they
need
to
be
standards
based
learning
is,
is
it's
the
moral
imperative
of
how
we
deliver
instruction?
It's
just
it's
the
right
thing
to
do,
because
we're
giving
kids
multiple
opportunities
to
show
the
proficiency
towards
a
particular
skill
or
grade
level
learning
target.
A
The
concept
of
standards
and
skills
based
learning
makes
a
lot
of
sense
to
me
that
that
you
know
that
a
seventh
grader
here
to
to
be
ready
for
eighth
grade
needs
to
know
how
to
do
these
things.
And
then
those
same
students
that
are
in
Missouri
that
are
in
seventh
grade
need
to
do
the
same
skills.
Learning.
A
A
big
picture
like
standard,
which
is
what
you're
working
on
long
term
and
then
every
day
we
like
to
bring
it
down
to
again.
What
are
you
doing
today?
What's
the
task
or
the
skill
so
I
will
assign
you
know
a
hundred
and
fifty
skills
throughout
the
year
and
the
kids
will
work
their
way
through
them
as
I
go
through
my
lessons.
