A
Kindergarten
is
a
great
time
to
learn
how
to
become
independent,
and
the
best
thing
you
can
do
for
your
child
is
to
help
them
and
celebrate
those
small
little
victories
things
that
they
learn
how
to
do
on
their
own.
One
of
the
great
parts
about
kindergarten
is
being
able
to
go
outside
to
recess
being
able
to
get
your
own
coat
on
is
a
really
exciting
thing.
Putting
your
coat
on
being
able
to
zip
it
or
button
it.
Coats
have
different
closures
so
practice
that
before
you
come
to
kindergarten.
A
That
way
your
child
will
have
more
time
to
play
and
won't
have
to
rely
on
an
adult
to
help
them
also
being
able
to
put
on
your
own
shoes.
Sometimes
shoes
fall
off
in
kindergarten,
so
being
able
to
put
your
shoe
back
on
by
yourself
as
a
great
thing
to
do
practice
tying
shoes.
If
your
child
is
not
able
to
tie
their
shoes,
yet
maybe
think
about
getting
velcro
shoes
to
start
and
practice,
putting
those
on
think
about
the
kinds
of
shoes
that
you're
purchasing
for
your
child
before
they
come
to
school.
A
Think
about
being
on
a
playground
with
bark
chips.
We
want
to
make
sure
those
bark
chips,
don't
get
in
your
shoes,
so
save
shoes,
like
tennis
shoes,
are
great
places
to
wear.
So
now
is
a
great
time
for
a
kindergartner
to
practice
using
a
restroom
by
themselves.
Teachers
don't
typically
go
into
the
bathroom
with
the
children,
so
children
need
to
be
able
to
walk
through
that
bathroom
door.
Go
to
the
bathroom,
come
out
zip
or
button
their
pants
or
pull
them
up
and
wash
their
hands
with
soap
and
dry
them.
A
Those
are
great
things
to
practice
with
your
supervision
first,
so
that
when
they
come
to
school,
they
can
be
excited
to
be
able
to
do
it
on
their
own.
Kindergarteners
can
sometimes
be
nervous
coming
to
school
for
the
first
time,
often
it's
a
new
school
for
them.
A
new
situation,
a
good
thing
to
do
to
get
them
used
to
the
school,
is
to
go
to
the
playground
ahead
of
time.
A
So
they
have
a
familiar
area
that
they're
used
to
so
that
when
they
come
to
school,
they
say:
hey,
I,
know
this
part
already
or
walk
by
the
front
of
the
school
and
talk
about
what
door
you're
going
to
be
entering
first,
that
they
start
thinking
about
being
separated
from
you.
It's
a
wonderful
time
for
them,
and
it's
so
fun.
They
have
a
great
time
in
kindergarten
and
they
make
such
good
friends
in
kindergarten.
It's
a
wonderful
growing
year
for
them
to
really
learn
that
they
can
be
independent
and
they
can
do
things
for
themselves.
