A
At
the
beaverton
school
districts,
safety
is
our
number
one
priority.
We
want
to
make
sure
all
students
travel
to
and
from
school
in
the
safest
manner
possible.
With
that
in
mind,
we
put
together
some
helpful
reminders
for
walkers
and
writers
when
approaching
a
road
with
crossing
guards
stop
before
reaching
the
edge
of
the
street,
wait
for
the
crossing
guards.
A
Try
to
establish
eye
contact
with
the
drivers
to
make
sure
keep
looking
as
you
cross
when
approaching
a
road
with
no
marked
crosswalk
stop
before
reaching
the
edge
of
the
street,
look
left
right,
left
and
behind
proceed
when
all
cars
have
stopped,
and
the
road
is
clear.
Try
to
establish
eye
contact
with
the
drivers
to
make
sure
keep
looking
as
you
cross
when
approaching
a
multi-lane
road
without
a
crossing
guard
stop
before
reaching
the
edge
of
the
street.
A
If
there's
a
signal,
wait
for
the
walk
sign
do
not
start
crossing
if
the
flashing
hands
or
countdown
starts,
look
left
right,
left
and
behind
make
sure
all
cars
in
all
directions
in
all
lanes
have
stopped
before
stepping
into
the
crosswalk
proceed
when
all
cars
have
stopped
and
the
road
is
clear,
keep
looking
as
you
cross
always
walk
your
bike
or
scooter
when
crossing
any
road.
Remember
you
might
see
drivers
but
might
not
see
you.
