A
Hello
and
welcome
to
laketown
lake
a
show
about
our
wonderful
city
of
bellevue.
I'm
your
host
robin
steele
today
we're
coming
to
you
from
bellevue
college,
where
there's
a
new
free,
coven,
19
testing
site
on
this
episode
of
lake
to
lake.
We'll
show
you
how
you
can
get
a
free,
coven,
19
test
quickly
and
easily
a
doctor's
important
plea
to
help
stop
the
spread
of
covet
19
and
a
great
program,
that's
giving
bicycles
to
kids
who
need
them.
A
We
start
today
here
at
the
new
covent
19
testing
site
at
bellevue
college,
as
cases
of
coven
19
continue
to
increase
it's
important
to
access
fast
testing
to
reduce
community
spread.
Here's
a
look
at
how
the
process
works
and
how
quick
and
easy
the
test
is,
with
the
number
of
covet
19
cases
continuing
to
surge
in
the
county,
and
here
on
the
east
side.
There's
now
a
free,
large-scale,
kova
testing
site
open
in
bellevue,
the
free
coven
19
testing
is
available
to
the
public
at
bellevue
college.
A
A
C
D
A
A
A
477-3977
in
king
county,
more
than
70
000
people
have
tested
positive
for
coven
19
and
even
with
vaccines
on
the
horizon,
we've
got
a
long
way
to
go
in
our
recovery
from
this
pandemic.
Next,
we
share
an
important
plea
from
a
physician
at
overlake
hospital
in
bellevue,
who
is
dealing
with
the
virus
every
day.
E
Hello,
I'm
brother
agarwal,
a
pulmonary,
critical
care
physician
at
overlake
medical
center
in
bellevue,
I'm
also
a
proud
resident
of
the
city
of
bellevue.
Due
to
the
increase
in
coven
19
cases
in
our
region,
the
need
for
hospitalization
and
intensive
care
is
rising.
We
run
the
risk
of
overwhelming
our
health
care
system.
E
E
A
A
F
We're
here
at
the
boys
and
girls
clubs
teen
center,
and
we
actually
are
a
partner
of
the
teen
center
wheel.
Lab
is
its
own
non-profit
and
what
we
do
is
we
take
in
bike.
Donations,
kids,
learn
how
to
rebuild
those
bikes
and
when
they're
done
they
get
to
keep
the
bike.
We
wouldn't
be
able
to
run
without
the
bike
donations,
because
that's
how
we
get
bikes
back
into
the
community.
F
We
get
a
lot
of
stuff,
probably
50.
60
percent
of
our
bikes
come
from
police
departments,
the
unclaimed
property
divisions
and
then
the
rest
of
it
come
from
private
donors.
That
know
we're
here.
It's
kind
of
word
of
mouth
now
that
it's
gotten
out
enough
that
people
were
like.
Oh,
I
can
drop
my
bike
off
there
and
it's
going
to
get
to
the
right
family
that
needs
it.
I
show
up
on
a
monday
and
there's
like
eight
ten
bikes,
sometimes
sitting
here,
waiting
for
us
to
kind
of
supplement
and
help.
F
With
that
program
we've
been
doing
some
bike
sales
we've
been
also
running
some
internship
programs
and
getting
kids
a
little
bit
more
in-depth
look
at
what
it
takes
to
get
a
bike
going.
One.
B
F
So
in
the
school
year
it
takes
them
about
eight
weeks.
They
learn
everything
from
how
to
fix
a
flat
tire
to
tune
the
drive,
train
and
brakes
and
overhaul
all
the
bearing
systems.
So
we
do
it
once
a
week
and
it'll
take
about
eight
weeks
to
get
done
in
the
summer.
We
cram
all
that
into
one
week
summer.
Camp.
The
program
is
open
to
anyone.
That's
interested
going
into
the
sixth
grade
age
group
up
through
high
school,
and
it
is
a
free
program.
F
F
Now
pedal
and
see
if
it
drops
into
that
gear
today,
what
we're
going
to
get
to
do
is
we
started
a
gofundme,
so
we're
actually
going
to
donate
some
bikes
to
kids
in
the
in
the
community
today,
as
you
get
the
chain
farther
and
farther
away
from
the
the
wheel
and
the
outside
of
the
bike
harder
and
harder
to
pedal.
So
as
the
numbers
go
up,
it
gets
harder
to
pedal.
You
want
to
give
it
a
ride,
check
it
out.
B
F
F
We
also
sell
bikes
too,
because
we're
trying
to
support
what's
going
on
here
and
making
sure
that
we
have
support
for
our
programs,
so
people
can
sign
up
for
an
appointment
and
we
do
it
by
appointment.
Only
currently
and
once
they're
signed
up,
we
get
them.
Get
them
out
here
again,
make
sure
it's
a
good
fit.
They
get
the
right
kind
of
bike
and
right
style
that
they
want
to
do
for
their
riding
needs
and
get
them
set
up.
