A
A
To
a
special
holiday
episode
of
Laketon
Lake,
a
show
about
our
beautiful
city
of
Bellevue
I'm,
your
host
Robin
Steele
tonight
we're
coming
to
you
from
a
few
of
the
places
that
make
Bellevue
the
place
you
want
to
be
for
the
holidays
in
one
or
more
fun-filled
days.
This
season
you
can
Marvel
in
garden,
delights
at
the
Bellevue
Botanical
Garden
make
holiday
memories
at
Bellevue,
Downtown
ice
rink
and
explore
the
excitement
and
magic
of
Snowflake
Lane.
A
We
start
here
to
show
you
one
of
the
most
beloved
holiday
events
in
Bellevue
garden,
delights
at
the
Bellevue
Botanical
Garden
for
just
a
few
short
weeks
during
the
holidays.
The
garden
is
transformed
into
a
magical
Winter
Wonderland,
with
spectacular
displays
featuring
more
than
a
half
million
lights.
Here's
a
preview
of
The
Magic.
B
Garden
delights
is
a
beautiful
seasonal
display.
We
have
here
at
the
Bellevue
Botanical
Garden,
we
put
it
on
each
year.
It's
been
going
on
since
1994.
this
year,
we'll
be
featuring
over
half
a
million
lights
on
display
now
through
the
end
of
the
year,
except
for
Christmas
Day,
our
garden
delights
features
a
lot
of
lights
that
are
modeled
after
real
plants.
So
when
you
tour
around
the
garden
here,
you
may
recognize
some
lights
that
you
see
reminiscent
of
the
plants
you
have
in
your
own
garden.
B
C
Is
my
very
first
guard
to
lights?
My
first
time
walking
it
tonight
I'm
so
impressed
with
the
overall
effort
that
it
took
to
create
this
and
now
to
be
able
to
witness
it
live
tonight,
for
the
first
time,
the
imagination
and
the
creativity
that
takes
place.
It's
really
hard
to
pinpoint
a
single
item.
That's
a
favorite.
The
purple
dragon
and
the
fuchsia
bed
tonight
really
captured
my
imagination,
with
its
shooting
flame,
really
was
a
moment
of
magic.
B
D
E
A
beautiful
place,
it's
an
amazing
environment
and
Oasis
in
the
middle
of
the
city,
get
out
of
Nature
and
The
Garden
of
the
lights,
just
fantastic.
B
The
price
of
admission
is
eight
dollars
and
that
eight
dollars
really
helps
us
at
the
Garden
to
fund
some
of
our
educational
programs
and
other
elements
throughout
the
season
here
to
find
out
more
information
on
garden
delights:
you
can
visit
our
website.
We
have
our
tickets
available
there
as
well.
Tickets
can
only
be
purchased
in
advance
from
the
website.
There's
none
sold
on
site,
I
have
to
say,
as
the
new
director
of
the
Bellevue
botanic
garden.
B
This
is
my
first
time
spending
the
holiday
season
in
the
Pacific,
Northwest
and
I
am
so
excited
to
bring
this
show,
but
also
to
be
able
to
enjoy
it
every
night.
It's
just
absolutely
spectacular
and
I'm
amazed
at
what
our
team
and
our
volunteers
have
been
able
to
accomplish.
Here.
We
really
like
to
think
that
garden
delights
is
the
highlight
of
the
holiday
season
here
in
Bellevue,
for.
A
D
Well,
it's
a
tradition
in
the
community
that
families
have
now
grown
up
with,
and
this
is
such
a
beautiful
place
to
have
an
ice
rink
and
it's
just
for
the
season,
but
really
for
people
to
come
down
and
enjoy
ice
skating
and
not
just
ice
skate,
but
to
enjoy
everything
else
that
is
going
on
in
the
community
around
the
holiday
season.
It
really
does
make
for
a
special
set
of
memories.
It's.
E
D
We
want
people
to
come
out
and
learn
to
skate,
try
as
a
beginner
and,
if
you're
more
comfortable
on
the
ice
great.
We
just
really
want
this
to
be
a
family,
fun
activity
and
something
that
again,
we've
done
for
25
years
here
in
the
Bellevue
downtown
park,
with
such
strong
support
from
the
community,
the
city
and
our
partners.
We
just
love
to
bring
this
out
every
year.
Tell.
D
D
Well,
we
encourage
people
to
come
out
and
try
to
escape.
At
least
we
have
free
lesson
nights
on
certain
nights.
Those
dates
are
listed
on
the
website
and
those
are
sponsored
by
Microsoft
and
we're
able
to
make
those
free
to
anyone
who
wants
to
learn
how
to
skate
as
long
as
they
they
buy
a
ticket
to
come
in,
and
this
is
a
great
place
for
families.
You
don't
have
to
go
out
on
the
ice.
D
The
whole
Community
comes
out
to
the
rink.
It
really
is
a
regional
draw
from
around
the
Pacific
Northwest
and
it
is
just
wonderful
to
see
how
again
Generations
have
grown
up
now
with
this
rank
over
25
years.
So
we
encourage
people
to
stroll
skate
and
celebrate
all
in
a
day
or
a
weekend
here
in
downtown
Bellevue.
You've.
A
A
F
This
is
our
18th
year
for
Snowflake
Lane,
it's
hard
to
believe,
but
we're
so
excited
to
be
able
to
bring
it
back
full
in
person.
It's
a
nightly
show
on
the
streets
on
Bellevue
Way,
between
Northeast,
8th
and
Northeast
Forest
between
Bellevue
Square
and
Lincoln
Square.
It's
every
night.
We
have
our
parade
every
night
with
our
characters.
We
even
have
new
characters
this
year,
the
Snowbell
dancers.
So
what
do
we
do
when
we
come
down?
We
always
like
go
to
the
snowflake
line.
We
really
have
fun
with
this
parade
because
we
have
walking
characters.
F
We
have
two
sets
of
dancers
of
snow
bells
and
the
jingle
bells
that
have
a
fun
time
kind
of
walking
the
whole
Parade
route
enjoying
the
groups.
We've
got
the
amazing
float
with
the
blue
princess
to
me.
That's
always
my
favorite
part
is
when
she
comes
around
and
every
night
Santa
is
in
the
parade.
I
go
every
year,
I.
F
G
Actually,
from
Canada
we
just
visited
family
friends
here,
so
we're
really
happy
like
to
really
like
you
know,
get
to
see
their
parade
tonight
really
say
that
this
is
the
start
of
the
holidays.
F
Over
20
years
ago,
Kemper
had
wanted
to
do
something
that
had
kind
of
a
nightly
experience
for
people
that
would
bring
people
not
only
from
the
community
but
from
outside
the
community
to
all
of
Bellevue
and
so
Snowflake
Lane.
Was
that
thing
that
could
fulfill
that
and
then
it
really
became
such
a
cherished
tradition
for
the
local
community.
So
that's
really.
What
we
wanted
to
create
was
this
kind
of
special
Legacy
Event
that
people
could
enjoy
and
really
kind
of
cherish
as
part
of
their
traditions
for
their
family.
A
That
about
does
it
for
us.
