Hello
and
welcome
to
Lake
to
Lake
a
show
about
our
beautiful
city
of
bellevue,
I'm
Robin
Haase
this
month.
We
feature
the
much
anticipated
completion
of
the
520
floating
bridge,
exciting
new
plans
for
the
historic
Wilburton
trestle,
a
local
nonprofit
that
shares
the
gift
of
music
and
a
look
at
four
great
skate
parks
in
Bellevue.
A
After
a
decade
of
planning
and
more
than
five
years
of
construction,
Washington
State
Department
of
Transportation
celebrated
the
much
anticipated
completion
of
the
520
floating
bridge
on
April,
second
and
third,
the
event
featured
an
official
ribbon-cutting
and
members
of
the
public
had
the
opportunity
to
walk
or
bike
across
the
newly
completed
bridge
washed
out
will
open
the
new
bridge
to
westbound
vehicle
starting
april
eleventh.
It
will
open
in
both
directions.
On
april

fifth
King
County,
Bellevue
and
other
Eastside
cities
are
planning
for
the
future
of
the
east
side.
A
Rail
corridor
to
be
developed
along
the
42-mile
rail
line
once
owned
by
Burlington
Northern
Santa,
Fe,
Railway,
Company,
county
and
city
partners
are
working
to
preserve
this
valuable
corridor
and
plan
for
its
future.
Recently,
King
County
released
this
video
and
plans
for
the
Wolverton
trestle
in
Bellevue
to
be
renovated
as
a
trail
bridge
along
the
corridor
built
in
1904.
It
is
the
largest
trestle
in
the
Pacific
Northwest
at
nearly
1,000
feet
long
and
over
100
feet
high.
B
Our
students,
I
think
get
many
benefit
from
their
participation
to
music
works.
We
like
to
think
that
we
address
the
entire
person
and
they
acquire
self-confidence.
We
give
them
the
opportunity
to
perform
music
works.
Northwest
is
a
non-profit
community
music
school.
With
the
mission
of
changing
people
lives
through
accessible
music,
education
and
experiences.
We
serve
people
of
all
ages,
people
who
are
coming
from
different
culture
different
background:
it's
not
an
elite
school.
You
can
start
here
as
a
beginner
and
you
can
play
the
rest
of
your
life.
B
What
make
our
organization
unique
is
first
of
all
it's
because
we
are
a
nonprofit
organization,
so
we're
service
oriented.
This
is
our
primary
purpose.
We
offer
also
a
very
wide
range
of
music
instruction.
We
teach
22
different
instruments
plus
voice
and
we
have
a
classical
program,
a
jazz
program
and
a
contemporary
program,
plus
our
music
therapy
program.
C
B
B
B
B
Main
motivation
is
basically
helping
the
new
generation
and
it's
a
lot
of
fun
to
work
with
the
kids
and
and
to
see
how
they
improve
years
after
years
after
year.
So
we
have
a
student.
She
wrote
to
us
when
I
left
for
college
musicworx
was
one
of
the
places
I
miss
the
most
because
of
its
close-knit
community
that
I
had
become
part
of
music
works,
changed
my
life.
B
A
For
more
information
about
music
works,
Northwest
visit,
music
works
and
wrog,
the
first
bellevue
skate
park
opened
more
than
20
years
ago
and
since
then
has
enrolled
over
25,000
members.
Now
Bellevue
has
four
skate
parks
throughout
the
city
and
is
reaching
a
whole
new
generation
skate
park.
Coordinator,
Joe
Mormon
explains.
D
D
Your
involvement
we're
very
fortunate
because
we've
got
an
indoor
skatepark,
we've
got
an
outdoor
street
park,
witches
duplicates
the
downtown
area,
and
then
we
have
the
crossroads
Bowl,
which
is
like
replicates,
swimming
pools,
kind
of
skateboarding
and
then
lakemont
skate
park,
which
is
a
smaller
neighborhood
park.
We
run
a
lot
of
different
kinds
of
programs
and
we're
always
kind
of
mixing
it
up
and
kind
of
figuring
out
what
works
best.
We
run
summer
camps
for
kids
ages,
eight
to
16.
Those
have
been
going
on
now
for
over
20
years.
D
About
six
years
ago,
we
introduced
and
started
seeing
a
lot
more
younger
kids
skating.
We
started
introducing
the
Biddy
border
camps,
so
the
Biddy
border
camps
are
ages.
4
37,
it's
a
great
opportunity
to
really
show
them
how
to
do
it
the
correct
way
from
the
beginning,
so
their
first
experience
is
going
to
be
fun
and
enjoyable.
D
D
D
Where
was
our
first
time
the
biggest
thing
that
I
see
on
a
regular
basis
that
building
of
self
confidence
the
confidence
that
is
brought
in
when
someone
does
something
that
they
really
thought
they
couldn't
do,
and
it's
totally
individualistic
if
they
do
something
on
their
own
and
it's
not
anyone
else
them
they
did.
It
is
the
most
satisfying
fantasy
I'm,
seeing
it
every
day.
I
just
really
appreciate
what
cities
done
here.
