From YouTube: Celebrate the Fourth of July Safely
Description
Bellevue Fire Marshall Ken Carlson shares some tips to help us celebrate the Fourth of July safely in Bellevue!
A
Hello,
my
name
is
Ken
Carlson
Bellevue
Fire
Marshal,
with
some
important
reminders
about
fireworks.
Fireworks
have
been
illegal
in
Bellevue
since
1994
and
continued
be
illegal.
Today,
last
year,
Bellevue
City
Council
raised
the
penalty
for
fireworks,
fuse
from
a
hundred
dollars
to
a
thousand
dollars
and
will
have
added
emphasis
patrols
on
duty
on
the
4th
and
the
5th.
A
We
also
want
to
remind
you
that
the
predictions
are
this
year
that
it's
going
to
be
hotter
and
drier
than
normal,
which
just
means
that
it's
even
more
important
that
you
refrain
from
using
fireworks
and
leave
it
to
the
professionals.
There
are
many
choices
in
the
region
for
you
to
attend.
If
you
notice
fireworks,
use
and
you'd
like
to
report
it,
you
have
two
opportunities
to
do
that:
either
use
the
my
bellevue
app
or
go
to
the
city's
website,
wwww
a
govt
if
you'd
like
us
to
help
get
the
word
out.
