like
to
recognize
Whitesville,

and
Cane

for
submitting
a
beautiful
student
artwork.
That's
the
display,
thank
you
to
Whitesville
Elementary's,
visual
art
teacher
Aaron,
esta
first
weekday
and
Cane

Good
evening,
we're
chairman
equivalent
superintendent,
Dixon
and
members
of
the
board,
I
am
so
excited
to
be
here
tonight
to
introduce
our
2023
teachers
of
the
year.
They
were
selected
by
their
peers
for
their
professionalism,
their
Innovative
teaching
strategies,
passion
for
kids,
their
leadership
and
to
represent
their
school.
As
a
member
of
our
Berkeley
County
teacher
forum,
please
again
join
me
in
giving
them
a
huge
round
of
applause.

And
now
the
moment
everyone
has
been
waiting
for
is
our
top
eight
teachers
of
the
Year.
Each
teacher
of
the
year
submitted
an
extensive
application
which
included
a
professional
biography,
professional
development
and
Community
involvement.
Innovation
in
the
classroom,
a
current
educational
issue
and
a
teacher
need
your
message.
Our
district
teacher
of
the
year
selection.
H
Our
one
of
our
own
high
school
students,
each
member
of
the
committee,
read
every
application
and
used
a
rubric
to
score
the
criteria.
I
know
this
was
a
difficult
task
to
take
these
47
applications
and
narrow
it
down
to
just
eight.
We
would
like
to
thank
the
selection
committee
for
their
time
and
effort.
They
have
already
put
it
into
the
support
process.

This
principle
writes
that
through
encouragement
and
modeling,
this
teacher
challenges
their
students
to
become
responsible
members
of
the
classroom
community
and
independent
Learners
they're.
A
quick
initiative
is
impressive
and
noticeable
by
all
professionals.
Congratulations
to
Daniel

schools,
Ashley
Boone.
H
H
Thank
you.
This
principle
writes
that
there
is
not
a
challenge
too
tall
for
this
teacher,
as
they
are
constantly
following
the
vision
of
the
Berkeley
County
School
District,
while
creating
new
fun
ways
to
improve
our
school
culture.
We
are
lucky
to
have
such
an
amazing
role
model
working
with
our
school.
Congratulations
to
Hanahan,
High,
School's,
Maria,
Davis,.
H
This
principal
writes
that
this
teacher
demonstrates
exemplary
teaching
skills
and
her
positive
and
collaborative
demeanor
for
our
students
and
Community
is
infectious.
They
create
a
learning
environment
where
all
students
have
a
sense
of
belonging
while
reporting
their
unique
personalized.
Marine
styles:
congratulations
to
Sangaree,
Elementary's,
Shelly,
Jenkins,.
H
H
And
last
but
not
least,
this
principal
writes
a
strong
belief
in
every
child,
a
willingness
to
contribute,
find
solutions
to
problems
and
issues,
Beyond,
The,
Cutting,
Edge
of
education
and
their
friendly
happy
and
a
positive
disposition
set
them
apart.
Their
rapport
with
staff
students
and
their
families
and
members
of
the
community
may
then
announce
any
member
of
our
team.
Congratulations.

Citizen
of
Berkeley,
County
I.
Think
you
know
that
we
currently
have
an
education
crisis
in
Berkeley
County
many
teachers
are
working,
two
jobs
to
feed
their
family
I.
Ask
that
you
consider
giving
all
teachers
a
15
pay
raise
and.
I
Raise
this
year
the
population
of
Berkeley
County
is
growing
and
the
number
of
teachers
has
decreased.
Retaining
and
recruiting
teachers
is
an
essential
part
of
the
solution
to
our
current
educational
system
emergency.
We
need
to
invest
more
in
our
teachers
now
for
our
future
I
think
you
agree
that
no
job
is
more
important.
Thank
you.
Thank.

and
Innovation
superintendent,
Dixon
board,
chair
McQuillen
and
school
board
members
at
the
February

board
meeting.
We
presented
the
process
taken
by
the
instructional
calendar
Committee
in
developing
two
drafts
of
the
instructional
calendars
and
the
feedback
received
from
surveys
of
bcsd
teachers
and
other
staff
and
stakeholders.
We
then
recommended
the
approval
of
draft
2
to
the
committee
of
academics
and
Innovation.
Tonight
we
bring
back
our
recommendation
of
draft
two,
but
with
two
slight
modifications
in
your
packet.
G
You
have
a
copy
of
the
updated
draft
too,
based
on
feedback
from
school
leadership.
We
have
adjusted
the
color
of
the
March
29th
date
to
create
a
visual
indicator
to
more
clearly
communicate
a
half
day
for
students
on
Good

and
based
on
a
recommendation
from
the
State
Department

the

D
This
evening
we
are
presenting
two
e-rate
solicitation
awards
for
your
approval.
Berkeley
County
school
district
has
applied
for
the
FCC
e-rate
funding
for
the
past
26
years
to
enhance
telecommunications
district-wide.
Our
anticipated
reimbursement
for
this
year
is
2
million
four
hundred
and
forty
one
thousand
five
hundred
and
sixty
nine
dollars.
Over
the
past
25
years
we
have
received
a
total
of
34
million
126
thousand
dollars,
one
hundred
twenty
six
thousand
sixty
six
dollars.
The
first
e-rate
funding
award
for
this
evening
is
RFP
678
to
replace
closet
switching
infrastructure
at
15
locations.
D
D
D
Stands,
for
is
the
it's
the
the
I,
don't
know
what
the
acronym
actually
stands.
Switch
and
I
will
let
Miss
Driggers
answer
that
question
I'm,
not
as
technology
Savvy
as
she
is,
but.
I
I
B
Q
O
Me
in
the
interest
of
the
other
folks
that
are
looking
in
or
the
video
could
you
really
explain
that
so
that
people
can
hear
I
had
trouble
hearing
you
as
well.
P
The
eBay
program
has
been
in
place
for
26
years.
The
Berkeley
County
school
district
has
participated
every
year
initially,
when
the
program
started,
they
would
actually
help
with
the
actually
reimburse
us
a
certain
percentage
for
the
regular
phone
bills.
Now
they
reimburse
us
for
certain
things
that
we
can
apply
for,
but
we
can't
pay
for
devices
on
the
network,
but
we
can
pay
for
the
infrastructure
equipment
we
are.
P
K
C
L
Q
L
L
M
You
talk
about
like
big
server
rooms
like
the
actual
routers
that
are
routing
the
wireless
for
this
entire
building
or
entire
campuses.
It
is
really
expensive,
I'm,
sorry,
my
voice
sounds
so
awful,
but
the
room.
That's
at
Main,
Street,
there's
a
room
back
in
Main
Street
that
has
all
the
switches
in
it.
It's
super
expensive.
D
And
we
did
use
e-rate
last
year
for
Carolyn
Lewis
infrastructure.
That
was
one
of
our
vids.
We
did
our
e-rate
business
that
we
did
last
year
and
I
will
tell
you.
I,
went
back
and
pulled
the
history
and
in
2021
we
replaced
switches
at
22,
schools
and
21-22.
We
did
13
schools
and
this
year
we're
looking
to
do
15.
C
C
By
saying
that
call
pose
the
motion
is
approved,
our.
D
Thank
you.
This
invitation
to
bid
was
done
to
purchase
Enterprise
licensing,
to
support.
D
Again,
this
will
be
funded
by
the
FCC
e-rate
program.
The
upgrades
will
allow
the
district
to
provide
improved
Network
Services
to
students
and
support
the
district's
one-to-one
initiative.
We
only
received
one
bid
on
this
on
the
solicitation,
but
we
have
confirmed
that
the
cost
of
these
licenses
is
competitive
and
reasonable.
The
initial
contract
term
is
one
year
with
an
estimated
value
of
680
607,
with
the
option
to
renew
for
four
additional
one-year
terms
for
purchases
as
needed.
The
awardee
would
be
Bridge,
Tech,
Solutions
LLC.
What.

C
B
C
J
Good
evening
chairman
Ramsey
board,
chair
McQuillen
superintendent,
Dr,
Dixon
and
board
members,
we
are
seeking
approval
of
the
Berkeley
County
School
District
2023
2024
allocation
formulas.
The
following
items
have
been
modified.
The
year
was
updated
to
reflect
2023-2024
school
year
and
the
number
of
days
for
School
record
clerks
and
elementary
schools
has
been
decreased
from
245
to
225..
This
is
only
a
correction
as
their
work
schedule
is
currently
225
days.
The
recommendation
is
to
approve
the
Berkeley

2023
2024

Hey.
Thank

Before

I
would
like
to
take
the
opportunity
when
we
host

a
school

off-site.
It
takes
a
lot
of
coordination
and
I
wanted
to
thank
all
of
the
individuals
that
were
a
part
of
that
coordination
with

Our

Work
Week
is
an
opportunity
for
schools,
parents
and
partners
to
acknowledge
and
recognize
the
impactful
work.
Social
workers
do
to
support
students,
families
and
their
communities.
We
appreciate
the
tremendous
investment
of
our
school
social
workers
and
cannot
serve
our
students
and
their
families
well
without
them.
Please
thank

in
conclusion,

as

the

is
far
greater
than
any

that
we
continue
to
make
