Description
August 22, 2023
A
Mr
Visionary,
will
you
please
call
roll
yep.
A
You
can
get
a
motion
to
approve
the
meeting
minutes
from
6
13
6
20
and
6
27.
D
A
A
Oh
sorry,
I
skipped
over
one
I
get
a
motion
to
adopt
the
agenda
for
business
items.
Second
motion
is
made
by
Mrs
Turner
second,
by
Mrs
calzone.
A
F
I
just
want
to
report
that
we
have
been
providing
some
support
to
the
administration
with
respect
to
the
elementary
school
project.
We
anticipate
that
the
developers
agreement
and
a
related
storm
water
management
agreement
will
be
finalized
in
the
next
month,
which
will
be
some
of
those
last
paperwork
pieces
on
the
legal
side
with
municipality
before
you
move
forward,
and
then,
certainly
in
the
next
month,
two
months,
we'll
have
a
lot
of
action
items
that
that
kind
of
catapult
that
project
forward
and
I'm
sure
Dr
Walter
others
will
address
those
later
tonight.
F
A
D
H
G
G
D
Diesel
diesel
mechanic
program
has
been
closed
because
we
could
not
find
a
an
instructor
after
months
of
searching
what
they
did
was
Mr
rice
took
the
enrollment
in
that
program
when,
when
students
enroll
at
Steel
Center,
they
have
a
first
choice
and
a
second
choice
of
program.
They
looked
and
saw
what
the
second
choice
of
those
students
were
and
offered
them
that
second
choice,
one
of
the
students
was
also
assigned
to
Parkway,
Parkway,
West,
CTE
and
so
yeah.
It
was
unfortunate,
but
the
the
way
the
industry
is
there.
D
G
D
So
the
really
it
just
got
the
cost
of
the
program,
so
they're
not
renovating
the
diesel
tech
lab
nor
the
HVAC
lab
okay,
but
they
want
to
expand
the
auto
mechanic
program
and
that
lab
space.
Okay.
So
some
of
those
some
some
of
that
may
be
redirected,
but
overall
the
cost
of
the
the
renovation
was
cut
by
that
much
okay.
J
Thank
you
good
evening,
everyone
and
welcome
back
to
our
students,
our
staff,
it's
back
to
school
week.
In
fact,
we
welcomed
our
faculty
back
yesterday
with
our
opening
convocation
and
the
beginnings
of
some
in-service
time.
We
spent
today
doing
more
professional
development
for
our
staff
and
then
Thursday.
We
open
the
doors
and
turn
on
the
keys
to
the
buses
and
off
we
go
to
the
2324
school
year.
J
You
know
we
pitched
the
theme
for
this
school
year
to
be
here.
We
grow,
and
the
point
behind
that
is
the
is
the
importance
of
a
growth
mindset
and
what
impact
that
has
on
someone's
ability
to
to
get
better
at
something
with
effort,
commitment
and
belief
and
potential.
J
They
will
achieve
great
things
achieve
New
Heights,
and
that
was
the
message
we
delivered
to
our
faculty
on
Monday
and
and
continue
that
again
this
week
today,
for
instance,
with
their
professional
development,
I
also
want
to
put
a
new
spin
on
a
phrase
we've
been
using
quite
frequently
in
our
Administration,
the
idea
of
being
Best
in
Class
and
the
the
ACT
we've
turned
it
into
an
acronym
and
you'll
see
right
there
behind
Dr
mensch.
J
The
the
word
best
for
us
this
year
is
going
to
stand
for
better
every
single
time
and
that'll
be
something
we
want
to
see
from
our
students
getting
better
every
single
time
from
our
faculty
to
making
their
lessons
better
every
time,
administrators
all
staff
everybody
involved,
is
better
at
their
job
every
single
time
they
started,
because
that's
what's
going
to
make
a
difference
for
us.
So
it's
going
to.
H
J
Move
the
needle
move,
the
district
to
our
ultimate
goal
this
month,
I'd
like
to
give
you
an
update
on
one
aspect
of
our
strategic
plan
and
that's
the
human
resources
ASP
bucket
of
of
goals.
J
There
are
three
Human
Resources
goals
in
that
bucket,
we'll
start
by
reminding
the
board
the
vision
that
we
had
for
our
human
resources.
When
we
developed
the
plan,
there
were
three
vision
statements
and
then
underneath
each
of
those
were
three
were
corresponding
goals.
J
It's
not
necessarily
addressing
a
class-sized
ratio,
as
it
is
the
educational
staff
to
student
ratio,
and
that,
ultimately,
is
where
we
want
to
get
to
a
place
where
we've
we've
got
a
sustainable
ratio
based
on
our
enrollment.
That
has
declined
over
the
years
and
I
think.
The
way
this
is
achieved
optimally
is
through
natural
attrition
through
the
retirements
and
resignations
of
staff
that
we
evaluate
all
positions.
Top
to
bottom,
every
Department
for
whether
they
are
still
necessary,
given
the
size
and
scope
of
our
our
district
and
our
our
facilities.
J
That's
going
to
take
more
time.
We
allowed
ourselves
five
years
in
the
Strategic
plan
and
as
retirements
come
up
every
year,
we
continue
to
have
those
evaluation
conferences
and
determine
best
fit
and
best
need.
So
we're
going
to
ask
for
every
bit
of
those
five
years
to
reach
the
the
best
place.
We
can
be
the
second
vision
statement
we
put
out.
J
There
was
that
Bethel
Park
employees
are
proud
of
their
job,
their
district
and
the
employees
feel
supported
and
valued,
and
that
vision
is
aligned
to
a
goal
where
we
would
have
90
satisfactory
reports
from
our
faculty
and
staff
in
their
sense
of
connectedness
and
resp
and
respect
and
value.
We
think
this
is
a
critically
important
goal,
because
we
know
the
essential
value
of
Educators
in
the
overall
success
of
our
school
district.
J
J
So
all
of
that
leads
to
then
action,
steps
or
goals
for
us
to
have
high
quality,
professional
development,
a
supportive
and
impactful
induction
program
for
new
staff.
We
want
to
enhance
our
employee
wellness
program.
We
want
to
make
sure
we
have
available
mental
health
issues
and
services
for
staff.
We
also
want
to
improve
our
spaces
for
staff,
Wellness
spaces
and
organized
Wellness
activities
and
opportunities
for
staff
members,
while
they're
all
tangentally
related
to
the
mission.
We
think
they're
all
essential
to
achieving
that
mission.
J
The
third
vision
is:
every
staff
member
is
invested
in
professional
and
personal
growth.
Here
We,
Grow,
Bethel
Park
helps
them
achieve
their
goal.
Their
growth
through
high
quality,
targeted
staff
development
offerings,
and
last
year
we
averaged
a
rating
of
3.5
out
of
4.0
on
professional
development
evaluations
that
was
up
five
hundredths
of
a
point
increase
from
the
prior
year,
but
that
tiny
bit
of
growth,
the
other.
That's
a
win,
we'll
take
that
tiny
bit
of
growth.
J
So
the
administrative
team
in
specifically
instructional
cabinet
that
includes
Mrs,
figlioli,
Mrs,
Wells,
Mr
sleel
at
sleazak
and
Dr,
Shu
and
Mensch,
have
put
considerable
time
into
planning
our
professional
development
and
some
of
them
even
made
presentations
themselves.
The
principles
have
also
thrived
with
the
responsibility
of
staff
development
for
some
of
our
newer
initiatives,
like
the
spms
rolling
out
this
year
and
I'm.
Pleased
with
the
Department
facilitators
are
also
embracing
this
role
and
doing
a
great
job
through
the
work.
J
We
prioritize
staff
development
because
we
know
when
they
get
better,
we
get
better
and
when
we
get
better,
the
students
get
better
experiences.
So
we're
pleased
with
the
modest
growth
on
these
HR
goals.
It's
worth
saying
again
and
again
that
these
are
seismic
shifts
in
our
operation
and
in
our
workplace.
This
takes
time
and
even
more
time
for
those
shifts
to
produce
the
long-term
benefits
and
effects
that
we're
looking
to
achieve
so
I
invite
everyone
who's
here
tonight
and
listening
to
to
find
your
own
opportunities
for
professional
growth
to
help
us
all.
J
L
Okay,
so
this
month's
five
big
things,
as
always,
there
are
more
than
five
wonderful
things
happening
at
Bethel
Park.
It's
one
of
the
great
things
about
working
at
Bethel.
Park
is
there's
always
a
lot
to
choose
from,
but
we're
we've
chosen
these
five
to
kind
of
focus
on
the
first
one
is
Mr.
Tim
Beck
will
serve
as
the
interim
principal
at
Neil
Armstrong
Middle
School,
while
the
district
comprehensively
searches
for
a
permanent
Principle.
L
As
you
know,
Kenny
Patterson
who's,
an
outstanding
principal,
is
leaving
the
school
district
in
September,
and
so,
while
we
look
for
a
principal,
we
will
have
Mr
Beck
serve
as
the
interim.
Some
families
might
be
familiar
with
Mr
Beck.
He
has
served
as
the
dean
of
students
at
IMs
for
the
past
year
and
a
half
before
that.
L
He
spent
several
years
in
this
in
the
district
as
a
substitute
teacher
and
before
his
time
at
Bethel,
Park
Mr
Beck
was
a
principal
for
13
years
at
still
rocks
high
school
and
Avella
Junior
Senior
High
School
respectively.
So
we're
very
lucky
to
have
someone
with
that.
Much
experience
to
take
over
for
Mr
Patterson
and
also,
of
course,
Mrs
Kramer,
will
continue
on
as
the
assistant
principal
there
and
will
help
study
the
ship
while
we
find
a
permanent
replacement.
L
Our
second
big
thing
is
yesterday:
Bethel
Park
welcome
back
it's
staff
through
a
series
of
fun
and
interesting
initiatives
designed
to
build
staff
cohesion.
One
of
the
topics
covered
was
Collective
efficacy,
the
principle
that
we
are
all
connected
and
working
together
every
day.
It's
part
of
that
growth
mindset
that
Dr
Walsh
alluded
to
earlier.
The
discussion
culminated
with
the
district-wide
rock
paper
scissors
tournament
won
by
IMS
teacher
Mr,
Scott
sterenko,
so
he's
the
king
of
the
rock
paper
scissors.
L
Today,
the
groups
broke
into
smaller
cohorts,
some
of
the
focus
areas
included
K
through
two
math
fluency
assessment
tools:
the
study
island,
Tech
Tool,
that
was
for
grades
three
through
eight
and
High
School
curriculum
mapping,
among
others.
There
was
also
rescue,
breathing
and
and
a
bunch
of
others.
So
it
was.
It
was
a
wonderful
day
for
for
everyone.
L
This
one's
very
interesting
Bethel,
Park
High
School,
recently
announced
that
Nick
perziola,
a
2023
graduate
and
a
dedicated
Community
servant
has
been
awarded
the
prestigious
big
heart
scholarship
in
the
amount
of
nine
thousand
one
hundred
seventy
dollars.
It
was
administered
through
bold.org.
It
was
funded
by
the
Gentile
family.
This
annual
scholarship
recognizes
students
who
embody
exceptional
character,
compassion
and
a
commitment
to
positively
impacting
the
community.
L
Over
the
summer
three
Bethel
Park
School
District
Parent
professionals
began
taking
advantage
of
a
collaborative
Grant
between
the
school
district,
the
Pennsylvania
Department
of
Education
and
Slippery
Rock
University.
That
will
earn
their
master's
degree
in
special
education
with
no
tuition
costs.
We
applaud
from
left
Wendy
Shaw
who's,
a
para
at
Ben,
Franklin,
Nicole
ragnelli,
who
is
a
para
at
Memorial
and
Erica
steers,
who
is
a
para
at
Abraham
Lincoln
as
they
each
further
their
education
and
working
with
our
special
education
population.
L
That's
a
very
neat
program
and
finally,
one
something
we
did
over
the
summer
was
Show
Your,
Colors
and
I
have
to
say
that
Bethel
Park
showed
its
colors
this
summer.
It
was
amazing
the
response
that
we
got
people
it
was.
It
was
incredible
so
earlier
this
summer
we
encouraged
the
entire
Bethel
Park
Community
students,
families
and
teachers
alike,
to
demonstrate
their
Bethel
Park
Pride.
Through
an
initiative,
we
called
Show
Your
Colors
BP
families
were
encouraged
to
pose
in
their
favorite
Bethel
Park
gear,
wherever
they
found
themselves.
L
This
summer
submissions
poured
in
from
near
and
far
and
included,
dispatches
from
as
far
away
as
northern
Europe
to
Alaska
and
even
the
Caribbean
and
Brazil
just
as
impressively.
They
also
came
from
local
campgrounds
and
Fairgrounds,
and
even
a
few
backyards
among
other
places.
So
it
was
a
wonderful
thing.
L
We
received
more
than
140
submissions
over
the
summer,
so
I
was
very
busy,
but
it
was
awesome
to
see
the
breadth
and
the
reach
of
Bethel
Park,
as
well
as
the
Community
Pride,
and
it
was
a
great
way
for
us
to
keep
our
families
engaged
during
a
time
when
they're
normally
not.
So
that
was
a
a
wonderful
tool
for
that.
It
was
a
great
way
to
get
other
messages
out
because
they
were
following
all
of
their
friends
and
neighbors
travels.
So
those
are
the
five
big
things.
J
N
Thank
you
for
having
us
present
this
evening.
We
want
to
talk
about
a
few
of
the
bright
spots
from
over
the
summer
and
one
that
we're
looking
forward
to
so
to
highlight
the
summer
of
learning
which
I
spoke
about
before
we
had
78
students
in
k
through
eight
take
part
in
our
summer
of
learning.
In
June
this
year
it
was
a
12-day
summer
of
learning
camp
that
focused
on
the
humanities
math,
and
this
year
we
added
stream
to
the
mix.
N
So
here
are
some
pictures
to
highlight.
We
had
some
hummingbird
robots
where
students
use
some
coding
in
order
to
use
a
hummingbird,
robotic
kit
to
make
things
light
up,
make
things
moved.
It
was
dependent
upon
how
they
coded
on
what
pieces
they
had
in
the
hummingbird
robotics
kits,
some
of
our
students
made
bird's
nest.
We
had
some
themes,
and
so
they
had
to
fit
three
eggs
into
a
bird's
nest
using
the
materials
that
were
provided
to
them.
So
you
can
see
all
the
creativity
there.
N
They
built
meerkat
tunnels
where
they
had
to
be
able
to
have
a
marble.
Go
through
the
tunnel
like
a
meerkat,
would
burrow
underneath
and
go
through
a
tunnel
Underground
hoop
gliders.
So
they
had
a
contest.
They
had
the
two
rings
and
they
had
to
build
a
hoop
glider
and
throw
it
to
see
who's
would
Glide
the
furthest
in
our
transportation
units.
N
Osmo
this
was
a
collaborative
activity
where
students
mirrored
what
they
saw
on
the
screen
and
they
worked
together
with
a
partner,
so
it
involved
creative
thinking
and
reasoning
and
collaboration
and
cooperation
at
a
young
age
Spiro.
These
were
robots
that
the
students
could
control
the
emotion
and
they
had
a
lot
of
fun.
You
can
see
with
their
tablets,
they
could
make
them
move
and
then
Dash
also,
these
students
could
make
the
dash
light
up
and
move
and
follow
paths,
and
so
they
got
some
introduction
to
some
roboting,
something
that
we're
looking
forward
to
this
year.
N
We
are
doing
oh
I
apologize
that
should
say
k
to
five
Ela
Pilots.
We
are
looking
at
piloting
our
English
language
arts
materials
in
the
K-5
grades,
and
we
have
some
teachers
who
are
going
to
do
a
full
year
pilot
and
we
are
piloting
two
different
programs
so
that
we
can
see
the
pros
and
cons
and
what
we
like
and
what
the
strengths
and
weaknesses
are.
N
The
into
reading
program
I
just
wanted
to
share
a
graphic
here:
A
Day
in
the
Life
of
the
interreeding
program,
it's
divided
into
three-week
modules
and
it
is
divided
into
rotations
of
independent
practice.
Writing
vocabulary.
Whole
group
teacher-led
instruction.
What
this
will
look
like,
we
really
don't
know
yet,
because
we
haven't
started
the
pilot,
but
this
is
what
we're
looking
forward
to
with
foundational
skills
vocabulary.
Reading
and
writing.
N
The
ckla
program
is
a
knowledge-based
program.
That's
what
they
Pride
themselves
on,
where
every
year,
the
same
basic
vertical
topics
are
reviewed
each
year
and
displayed
in
a
different
way
across
the
grade
levels.
They
also
have
a
lot
of
non-fiction
texts,
so
some
science
texts,
some
social
studies
text
in
their
knowledge
based
program,
and
then
they
have
a
separate
skills
strand.
So
they
break
their
program
into
two
60-minute
periods
in
the
K
to
two.
Where
that
skill
strand
really
works
on
building
your
early
foundational
skills.
N
O
Good
evening
I'm
happy
to
report
that
the
adults
are
having
as
much
fun
as
the
kids
and
I
think
you'll
thoroughly
enjoy
the
experience
that
we
had
as
administrators
and
facilitators
at
our
Retreat
over
the
summer.
I
think
many
of
us
are
familiar
with
the
children's
museum
that
we've
always
been
to,
but
there
is
another
Museum
of
the
Children's
Museum
owns,
it's
called
Museum
lab
and
in
2020
they
reopened.
This
lab
it
was
the
originally
the
Carnegie
Library
and
in
true
Children's,
Museum
fashion.
O
There
was
a
lot
of
creative
reuse
of
the
materials
that
were
already
there,
so
you
will
notice
in
the
pictures
that
the
architecture
and
the
structure
of
this
building
is
just
incredibly
gorgeous.
It
was
a
great
place
for
us
to
learn
and
collaborate
and
play
together
and
I
just
wanted
to
share
that
Journey
with
you
all.
O
O
Just
a
couple
pictures
here
of
the
group
like
I
said
this
was
a
combination
of
of
the
administrators,
elementary
middle
and
high
school
principals,
and
also
all
of
our
facilitators.
So
we
had
two
options.
We
could
either
go
in
the
June
date
if
that
worked
best
for
your
schedule
or
in
the
August
date,
so
I
have
a
mixture
of
both
sessions.
Of
the
pictures
mixed
in
these
are
just
some
of
the
ones
of
us.
When
we
first
got
there,
foreign.
O
One
of
the
first
things
we
had
to
do
was
a
design
Challenge,
and
we
were
designed
something
that
could
be
used
in
the
classroom,
and
so
they
had
a
variety
of
materials
ready
for
us.
As
you
can
see,
we
were
allowed
to
use
Plastics
and
foam
different
fabric
ribbons
buttons,
different
adhesives,
connectors
and
doodads
cardboard
paper
and
lots
of
different
adhesives
and
ways
to
connect
things.
So
we
started
by
getting
receiving
our
task
that
we
needed
to
the
materials
that
we
were
allowed
to
use
for
the
task
and
we
had
to
get
to
work.
O
So
you
had
some
restraints
of
what
you
could
do.
We
received
red
blue
and
a
lighter
blue
color
cards
of
you
know.
Maybe
you
weren't
allowed
to
use
tape
or
you
had
to
use
tin,
foil.
You
weren't
allowed
to
use
this
and
then
Midway
through
the
design
they
come
around
and
throw
a
curveball
at
you
and
say:
oh,
you
know
now
you're
not
allowed
to
use
this
so
then
we
then
had
to
iterate
and
change
our
design.
O
And
we
also
then
have
the
chance
to
pitch
our
inventions.
There
were
some
really
really
great
ideas:
I'm
surprised,
you
didn't
contact
it
about
patents.
People
told
us
that
they
were
going
to
reach
out
to
you.
Mr
villani
and
Mr
Schilling
were
very,
very
proud
of
their
invention,
but
we
did
we
had
in
really
what
came
out
of
the
inventions
was
something
that
we've
all
been
noticing
a
theme
towards
social
emotional
learning.
There
were
things
that
were
being
created
that
could
help
feel
students
feel
more
comfortable
help.
Students
feel
more
engaged
different
things.
O
O
I
I
want
to
just
comment
on
the
amount
of
joy
and
energy
that
was
in
the
room
both
days.
It
was
just
so
great
to
see
people
relaxed
enjoying
themselves
having
fun
in
the
children's
museum
did
a
great
job
of
really
tying
all
that
back
to
our
focus
on
a
Universal
Design
for
Learning.
So
at
the
towards
the
end
of
the
day,
we
then
had
to
go
look
at
that
challenge
that
we
did
and
say.
Okay,
if
we
were
designing
that
challenge
for
any
learner,
how
would
that
have
had
to
be
different?
O
If
you
were
someone
who
were
visually
impaired
or
hearing
impaired
or
would
you've
been
able
to
do
what
we
did?
What
accommodations
would
we
need
to
make?
So
we
did
get
a
little
competitive,
I'm,
not
I'm,
not
gonna
lie
they
had
to
change
some
things
to
meet
our
competitive
needs,
but
the
the
posters,
even
the
things
that
were
coming
out
of
the
group,
everybody
was
so
engaged
and
so
focused,
and
it
was
really
really
interesting
to
hear
people's
perspectives
on
how
they
would
have
approached
that
differently.
These
were
just
a
couple
of
the
examples.
O
We
ended
with
something
called
gym
lacium.
This
is
actually
those
are
the
stacks
that
existed
in
the
Carnegie
Library
and
during
the
pandemic
they
had
an
artist
come
in
that
actually
created
that
and
as
covid
went
on
longer
and
things
stayed
closed
longer,
it
became
more
and
more
intricate,
and
so
essentially
it
is
a
gymnasium
that
is
built
out
of
string
and
weaved,
and
so
we
climbed
we
played
some
people
got
stuck,
not
mentioning
names,
some
people
fell,
but
it
truly
was,
and
you
know
you
had
to
go.
O
J
Thank
you
thank
you
and
that's
all
I
had
thank
you
very
much.
Oh
actually,
actually
I
do
do
add
one
thing,
I
think
Mr
crummy
is
over
there
working
furiously
on
some
additional
correspondence
going
out
over
the
next
couple
of
days
as
we're
getting
closer
to
the
start
of
school.
There
are
some
important
e-blasts
that'll
be
coming
out
relative
to
like
transportation
and
busing
and
so
forth,
as
well
as
as
required
forms
and
so
on.
Mr
crummy
I
saw
you
turn
your
mic
on.
Are
you
able
to
yeah.
L
Yeah,
so
we
have
a
letter
set
to
go
out
tomorrow
that
we'll
address
kind
of
some
of
the
transportation,
any
transportation
questions
people
have,
and
it's
just
a
reminder
for
safety
tips,
kind
of
how
to
find
that
information.
Of
course,
for
years
the
school
district
would
send
out
postcards.
They
no
longer
do
that.
That
information
is
now
located
in
your
home
access
center
and
we
were
having
some
issues
with
the
Home
Access
Center,
but
that
is
now
resolved
the
Home
Access
Center.
L
That
also
is
the
portal
that
had
some
of
the
forms
for
or
like
a
photo
refusal
and
physical
information
and
we're
just
having
some
some
sinking
issues
with
some
third-party
vendors
and
those
syncing
issues
as
of
late
this
afternoon
were
resolved
and
family
should
have
gotten
an
email
tonight
explaining
to
them
how
to
get
that
information
and
we'll
send
out
a
follow-up
correspondence
tomorrow,
just
reassuring
them
that
it's
there
and
that
if
they
have
any
issues
they
can
come
back
to
us.
L
But
our
Tech
departments
worked
really
hard
to
resolve
those
issues
and
they're
kind
of
limited
by
when
you're
working
with
outside
vendors
in
different
countries.
It
can
be
a
challenge,
so
they
were
able
to
do
it
and
just
in
time
for
the
start
of
school.
K
N
So
both
of
those
programs
are
saying
that
they
are
aligned,
and
so
our
teachers
did
look
at
five
different
programs
to
determine
which
two
they
wanted
to
Pilot,
and
so
we
are
using
a
center
for
reading
rubric.
That
is
recommended
to
make
sure
that
we
will
meet
all
of
the
components
and
we're
going
to
weigh
those
against
one
another
and
make
sure
that
they
meet
our
needs.
N
K
A
Any
Collins,
no
okay!
Let's
move
on
to
the
business
part
of
the
agenda.
Miss
hoppy.
Can
you
take
the
eight
items
under
consent
agenda.
P
H
Sure
can
there
are
seven
items
under
personnel
number
one
acceptance
of
resignations
number
two
change
of
assignment
number:
three
appointment
of
personnel;
number
four
approval
of
unpaid
leave
of
absence;
number;
five;
an
MOA
with
the
paraprofessional
and
AIDS
educational
support
unit
of
the
Bethel
Park
Federation
of
teachers;
CBA
number;
six
approval
of
extra
Duty
responsibility;
programs
for
the
2023-24
year
and
number
seven
approval
of
administration
tuition
reimbursement.
So
I
would
like
to
move
all
seven.
P
A
Samosha
is
made
by
Miss
McGregor
seconded
by
Mr
skelzo,
since
these
were
not
on
our
last
agenda.
Any
questions
on
any
of
these
items.
E
C
Do
I
have
one
for
Mr
huccinery
number
one
under
classified
change
of
assignment
that
instructional
Aid,
so
there
will
not
be
an
instructional
Aid
anymore
in
first
or
second
grade
at
Memorial,
or
is
that
instructional
Aid
still
there,
and
this
is
another
one
being
moved.
Q
No,
so
that's
that's
the
one
that
was
put
there
last
year
for
class
sizes,
So
based
off
of
the
contract.
We
had
to
move
that
one
to
George
Washington
to
have
all
the
contract
language
in
regards
to
how
many
hours
an
instructional
way
it
supports
a
teacher.
So
once
we
did
that
it
was
across
the
board,
everybody
was
still
on
top
of
the
hours,
so
we
felt
at
that
time.
Yes,
that
person
would
be
moved
over
to
George
Washington
and
it
fulfills
all
the
contract
language
so
that
person's
not
being
replaced.
C
G
C
M
There
was
not
any
explanation
provided
I
when
I
put
it
on
the
agenda
just
yesterday.
I
do
not
have
an
explanation.
It
had
not
gone
up
for
several
years.
Okay,
so
I
can
say
that
we
have
two
students
and
there's
two
different
prices
that
are
included.
I,
don't
know
if
I
specified
that
one
is
their
whiska
location
and
then
one
is
their
traditional
Watson
program.
There's
two
students
in
the
whiskey
program
and
approximately
five
in
the
Watson
program.
M
We
are
currently
working
on
transitioning
a
couple
of
those
students
back
to
in
District,
starting
as
a
first
day
school.
Okay,
so
we
are
working
on
phasing
those
students
back,
but
I
certainly
can
find
out
the
the
reason
for
the
cost
changes.
I
know
that
they
are
also
doing
construction,
so
that
may
play
a
factor
into
it.
Okay,.
M
C
So,
zero
zero
six
meetings,
201
admission
of
students,
216.1,
supplemental
discipline,
record
and
250
student
experience,
homelessness,
foster
care
and
other
educational
instabilities.
They
were
all
read
last
week
in
Dr
Walsh
had
answered
any
questions.
We
had
on
red
lines.
E
K
Could
I
ask
a
question,
a
clarifying
question:
I
guess:
Dr
Walsh
short
or
Dr
Minch?
What
what
is
considered
a
student
experiencing
homelessness,
I,
sometimes
talk
to
families
and
often
I
think
they
don't
understand
that
their
situation
might
technically
be
considered
homeless.
R
Yeah
sure
so
homeless
students
might
be
students
that
actually
have
left
their
house
and
gone
and
doubled
up
with
another
parent.
So
in
fact
their
biological
parents
are
not
homeless,
but
they
themselves
are
homeless
because
they've
run
away
or
gone
to
another
physical
location.
R
R
Those
are
the
the
situations
we
see
and
that's
the
definition
you
know
of
homelessness
so
and
I
would
say
that
we,
if
there's
ever
any
questions
you
know
as
the
homeless
liaison
people
should
certainly
reach
out
to
me,
because
if
it's
not
homelessness,
I
can
help
them
navigate
that.
So
any
questions
should
come
to
me
as
the
liaison
and
I'll
help
them
navigate.
It.
K
K
P
S
That
is
correct.
That
is
correct.
Our
communities
have
benefited.
Shim
has
taken
several
pallets,
the
jccl
put
them
in
GO
bags
for
their
kids.
They
took
1500
packages.
A
number
of
our
schools
have
them
for
their
fun
days
this
week
or
for
open
house.
So
families
can
take
a
box
take
a
package
whatever
you
need
to
do.
A
T
On
I
stopped
in
at
the
last
meeting
and
had
a
very
brief
discussion
with
you
all
regarding.
T
You
very
much
John,
delallo
15.
told
you
it's
been
so
long
since
I've
been
in
front
of
this
microphone.
John
delallo,
1565,
Lucille,
Drive,
Hamilton,
Heights,
Bethel
Park.
How
about
that
anyway?
I
stopped
in
last
week
and
our
last
meeting
I'm,
sorry
and
kind
of
pled
my
case
and
once
again
offer
my
services
as
a
substitute
teacher.
Just
to
reiterate,
all
of
my
certificates
are
up
to
speed.
T
The
renewals
that
I've
been
over
required
have
been
accomplished
and
precision
has
all
of
that
in
hand
and
I
have
heard
nothing
from
the
school
or
from
precision
and
I'm
hoping
to
get
a
positive
response
this
evening.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
C
I
guess
I'll
be
the
first
to
wish
the
administration
back
to
start
the
23-24
school
year.
You
guys
have
been
hard
at
work
for
two
days
and
to
wish
that
everybody
gets
a
good
night's
sleep
on
Wednesday
night
start
bright
and
early
with
all
smiling
faces
on
Thursday
morning
and
two
two
things
encourage
those
of
you
that
have
your
signs
and
say
welcome
to
Bethel
Park
to
please
make
sure
they're
out.
C
So
all
those
students
that
get
on
those
buses
in
the
morning,
especially
kindergarten,
are
new
to
the
district,
feel
welcome
as
they
get
on
the
bus
and
drive
through
their
neighborhood
to
get
to
their
school
and
second
of
all,
I
had
made
this
plea
last
year,
so
I'm
making
and
again
and
Mr
crummy
can
help
me
by
putting
it
out
on
social
media.
C
Please
wear
your
black
and
orange
on
Fridays
I
know
a
lot
of
the
Football
wears
theirs
and
cheerleaders
wears
theirs
and
at
the
high
school
level
and
at
the
middle
school
level
they
were
theirs
but
encourage
your
students,
it
doesn't
have
to
say
Bethel
Park.
It
can
be
a
white
shirt.
It
can
be
a
black
shirt,
it
can
be
an
orange
shirt
or
black
shorts.
C
Just
you
know,
support
it
and
be
United
in
who
your
colors
are,
as
you
move
through
the
school
year
on
Fridays
and
it
all
Fridays,
because
we
have
basketball
games
on
Friday
nights
in
the
winter
and
there's
lacrosse
and
there's
soccer
and
there's
baseball.
So
let's
continue
that
tradition
throughout
the
whole
school
year.
I
love
to
see
it,
especially
when
you
drove
by
a
playground
on
a
Friday.
There
was
a
spread
of
black
and
orange
throughout
that
those
grounds.
So
let's
keep
that
up.
C
D
I
just
have
a
couple
of
things:
first,
to
our
curriculum
coordinators,
I
love,
piloting
two
programs
at
the
same
time,
for
compare
contrast,
is
wonderful
because
so
many
times
I
hear
of
you
know,
schools
piloting
one
program,
but
you
have
nothing
to
compare
it
to
other
than
what
you're
already
using
so
I.
Think.
That's
super
smart,
I
love
the
the
presentation,
I
love
the
enthusiasm
and
something
that
really
struck
me
as
I
used
to
work
in
the
district.
There
was
such
a
disjointedness
between
departments
a
lot
of
times
and
to
see
our
music
facilitator.
D
Working
with.
You
know
someone
in
a
completely
different
department
in
a
capacity
that
they've
never
interacted
before.
Possibly
is
really
encouraging
and
I
know
that
I
have
to
believe
that
they
found
so
much
value
in
that,
because
I
think
they
felt
disjointed
too,
and
so
it
brought
a
lot
of
cohesion
like
just
seeing
that
cohesion
and
that
collaboration
and
the
fun
you
all
had
together
is
really
really
encouraging
and
I
think
it
goes
a
long
way
in
you
know
seeping
into
the
rest
of
the
culture
of
the
district.
K
I
wanted
to
say
the
same.
Basically,
thank
you
so
much
for
the
administration,
administrative
Team.
All
of
the
hard
work
you
all
have
been
putting
in
all
through
the
summer,
while
we
were
frequently
at
beaches
and
poles
and
doing
other
things.
So
we
appreciate
that,
because
it's
so
evident-
and
it
is
absolutely
wonderful
to
see
everyone
really
coming
together
and
having
fun
learning
to
get
along
with
one
another
and
appreciate
differences
and
they've
now
had
an
experience.
K
We
hope
that
they
spread
and
share
with
the
staff
and
teachers
in
their
buildings
and
then
when
teachers
and
staff
share
with
the
children
and
the
students-
and
it's
really
exciting
and
I
know
that
professional
development
is
not
easy
to
do
so.
Thank
you
for
doing
it
and
doing
it
well
and
making
sure
it's
relevant
and
interesting
and
good
luck
have
a
wonderful
School,
Year.
Everyone.
A
Anything
else
it's
a
motion
to
adjourn
ation,
all
in
favor
aye
I
opposed
meeting
adjourned.
Thank
you.
