bisque,
a
technical
overview
of
bisque.
So
if

somebody

about
what
it
might
be
like
to
get
involved
with
a
real
Bitcoin
based
system.
That's
live
in
the
world
right
or
maybe
you're
interested
in
and
I
decentralized
exchange,
right,
Bitcoin,
tour
or
all
of
these
different
things.

somebody

through
a

slides

right
into

to
share
my

familiarity

bisque,

gonna

going
to
go
into
too
high
level
of
an
overview,
but
it's
always
worth
saying
a
few
things
about
what
bisque
is
and
why
it
exists
and
so
on
to
set
the
context
for
why
would
you
bother
contributing
to
such
a
project
right?
So
we'll
talk
about
a
brief
intro
and
then
we'll
get
into
again
a
high
level
technical
overview.

like

will

deep
dives
into
into
each
different
aspect
of
bisque.
We'll
talk
about
what
is
bisque
need
most
right
now,
contribution
wise
and
then
very
important
topic,
hopefully,
for
everybody

are
you
compensated
for
this
work
and
that's
already
something
new
right,
usually
when
you're
contributing
to
an
open
source
project?
There
is
no
such
thing
as
compensation.

something
very
different
about
biscuits.
What
we're
trying
to
do
with
the
bisque
now
is
action.

create
a
system
that
makes
it
possible
to
to
monetize
an
open
source
project
natively
right,
so
we'll
get
all
into
that.

Bitcoin
that
we

then

again,
what
is
bisque
at
a
very
high
level?
This
is
a
few
things
right.

It's
a
desktop
applications
cross-platform
desktop
application
that
implements
Fisk's
trading
protocol
and
that's
all
done
on
top
of
bisque
spirit
of
your
network.
So
you
can
kind
of
think
of
those
three
essential
elemental
aspects
making
up
what
bisque
is
and
we'll
talk
about.
Each
of
those,
it's
very
important
to
mention
I've
already
said
the
bisque
is
open
source
right.
This
is
free
and
open
source.
It's
a
GPL
licensed
project.
Every
aspect
of
bisque
is
a
GPL
license,
which
simply
means,
if
you're
not
familiar.

It
means
that
it's
permissive,
a
software
license
that
you
can
possibly
get.
The
only
thing
that
restricts
is
people's
ability
to
close
the
source
and
make
changes
to
it
without
publishing
those
changes
so,
and
not
just
at
the
level
of
the
code
right,
but
at
every
level
of
disk
and
everything
we
do.
We
have
a
commitment
to
a
kind
of
radical
transparency,
a
radical
openness
where
you
know,
if
you're
paying
attention
to
our
YouTube
channel
you'll,
see,
we
very
often
have
a
practice
of
you
know
publishing
just
about
every
conversation.

So
that's
why
this
gives
it
a
very,
very
high
level,
but
why?
Because
this
project
exists
and
fundamentally
it's
to
execute
on
this
mission,
to
provide
secure,
private
and
censorship
resistant
way
to
exchange
Bitcoin
for
national
currencies
and
other
cryptocurrencies
over
the
internet
right
every
every
word.
There
are
matters
because
there
are
ways
to
exchange
Bitcoin
in
secure
and
private
and
censorship
resistant
ways
in
person
all
right.

There
wasn't
there
a
very
good
way
to
do
secure
private
and
censorship
censorship,
resistant
trading
of
Bitcoin
for
national
currencies,
so
we
do
both
right.
This
is
principally
a
crypto
fiat
exchange,
a
Bitcoin
to
fiat
exchange.
Network.
That's
why
bisque
exists
once
you've
solved
that
problem.
That's
the
hard
problem,
then
it's
pretty
easy,
relatively
speaking,
to
also
do
crypto,
crypto
exchange,
and
so
we
support
that
and
there
dozens
of
tokens
and
all
coins
and
so
on,
listed
on
disk
today.

But
that's
the
mission
we're
in
secure
private
censorship,
resistant
crypto
via
exchange.
So
how
do
we
do
it
at
a
very
high
level?
What's
what's
under
the
hood
here,
if
you
break
down
what's
inside
the
box
with
the
desktop
client,
like
I,
said
it's
cross-platform,
the
way
we
achieve
that
is
that
it's
based
on
JavaFX,
so
it
just
works
everywhere.
You
can
run
a
JVM.

Sic
things
that
you
would
with
a
bit
query:
one
of
those
clients
running
on
a
network
is
a
tor
hidden
service
disks
peer-to-peer
network,
which
we
talk
a
little
bit
more
about
in
the
moment,
rides
on
top
of
tor,
like
a
transport
layer
and
every
disk,
node
or
every
best
client
is
itself
the
tor
hidden
service
or
tor
onion
service.
So
what
you
have
is
this
self-contained
node
that
people
are
running
that
has
just
everything
you'd
need
as
a
user.

So
when
we
say
payment
account
management,
we
mean
bisque
is
the
place
where
you
store,
essentially
all
the
metadata
about
your
payments
accounts,
but
that
metadata
never
leaves
your
client
and
is
never
seen
by
anybody
other
than
just
your
trading
counterparties.
But
that's
a
that's
in
the
box
as
well.
Right,
obviously,
everything
you
need
to
do
to
trade
right
to
see
an
offer
book
to
take
an
offer.
It's
a
make
an
offer,
your
offer.
You
know
your
trading
history.
Of
course,
all
of
that
stuff
is
concluded
when
something
goes
wrong.

If
something
doesn't
go
to
protocol
with
the
trade
say
you
don't
receive
payments
or
there's
a
technical
problem
or
what-have-you
and
there's
arbitration,
and
so
bisk
is
also
a
complete
arbitration
client
where
you
and
your
counterparty,
if
necessary,
can
escalate
your
trade.
You
can
dispute
your
trade
and
escalate
it
to
your
trades
arbitrator
and
you
would
find
in
that
screen.
You
know
complete
chat,
client
and
you
know
ticket
management
system
where
you
know
you're
gonna
have
a
three
three-way
conversation.

Essentially
the
arbitrator's
going
to
talk
to
both
sides
figure
out
what
the
resolution
to
the
trade
dispute
ought
to
be,
and
then
cosine
this
multi-sig
escrow
to
payout,
the
Bitcoin
to
the
correct
counterparty
there's
to
the
correct
party
of
the
trade
lots
to
say
about
that
again,
we
can
have
detailed
text
sessions
on
how
our
betray
ssin
works
and
all
of
this,
but
just
for
an
overview.
It's
just
important
to
know
how
much
is
inside
this
client,
it's
really
a
feature-rich
place.
Of
course
price
feeds
right.

If
you,
if
you're,
if
you're
somebody
who
enjoys
working
in
Java
you
enjoy
working
on,
you
know
desktop
clients,
that's
not
such
a
common
modality
these
days,
but
it's
part
and
parcel
to
a
properly
distributed
properly
decentralized
application
network
right,
we're
out
of
the
client-server
model.
When
we
try
to
do
things
in
a
really
and
truly
centralized
fashion.
A
You
know
some
things
can
be
done
in
the
browser,
but
but
you
know
we
take.
We
take
an
approach
and
says
like
let's
actually
use
real-deal
desktop
applications,
and
if
you
like,
building
that
sort
of
thing,
you
think
you
might
like
building
that
sort
of
thing.
I
think
this
is
just
a
very
exciting
project
to
spend
time
on.

So
that's
the
primary
kind
of
node
on
Fisk's
p2p
Network,
our
bisque
exchange,
nodes
or
bisque
exchange
clients,
but
there
are
other
node
types
essentially
supporting
node
types
on
the
network,
including
what
we
call:
seed,
nodes,
price
nodes,
statistics,
nodes
monitoring,
nodes
and
so
on.
Manfor,
do
you
want
to
say
a
little
bit
about
what
seed
nodes
are
all
about.

All
those
data
are
delivered
by
reseed
node
at
startup
as
soon
as
you
are
fully
connected
to
the
peer-to-peer
network,
or
the
first
step
is
that
you
connect
to
tor
network
from
this
moment
on.
You
can
connect
to
other
nodes,
but
you
are
not
reachable
because
your
hidden
service
is
not
published
yet
that
takes
usually
asserted
40
seconds
until
your
hidden
service
is
published,
and
in
this
time
in
between
her
yeah,
we
don't
want
that
the
user
has
to
wait
nearly
a
minute
until
he
first
sees
office.

So,
basically,
as
soon
as
you
are
connected
to
the
Tor
network,
which
takes
five
to
ten
seconds,
you
request
from
the
seed
node
all
the
data,
and
then
you
can
already
browse
in
the
application.
You
can
see
the
offers
and
can
do
a
little
bit.
You
can
a
place
an
offer
because
you're
not
fully
connected.
You
have
to
wait
until
the
tor
hidden
service
is
published,
and
from
that
moment
on
you
are
fully
connected.
Then
you
start
to
connect
to
other
nodes.
Yeah,
that's
the
basic
I
mean
the
other
nodes,
the
price
notes.

They
are
basically
proxies
for
delivering
the
market
prices.
We
have
a
few
providers
like
Bitcoin
average
for
a
Fiat
prices,
pool
index
and
Quinn
market
cap
for
Alcuin
prizes
and
Bitcoin
average,
for
instance,
requires
a
paid
API
as
a
you
have
a
paid
paid
plan
for
the
API
access.
So
we
cannot
add
this
burden
to
the
users
that
every
user
has
to
set
up
a
plan
with
Bitcoin
average
to
connect
directly.

So
we
introduced
our
own
specialized
nodes
which
are
yeah
which
have
to
say
Pik,
so
that's
paid
by
the
developers
who
are
operating
to
price
nodes
and
which
are
HTTP
servers
which
are
running
over
to
our
of
soybean
services
so
that
disk
nodes
are
connecting
to
those
or
hidden
services
and
those
servers
are
requesting
the
prices
from
there
from
the
providers
like
Bitcoin
average
or
Pollini
X
/
plane
over
clear
net.
Because
yeah.
We
don't
need
to
protect
the
privacy
on
this
side.
But
the
best
clients
are
connecting
over
over
to
those
nodes.

Yeah,
so
you
can
think
of
you
can
think
of
bisques
peer-to-peer
network
as
being
something
of
a
hybrid
right.
You
know
we
talk
about
the
types
of
different
networks
of
centralized
networks.
You
have
decentralized
networks
and
you
have
fully
distributed
networks.
Well
when
it
comes
to
the
bisque
client,
the
actual
desktop
client
node,
that's
forming
a
properly
distributed
peer-to-peer
network
where
there's
no,
no,
you
know
highly
connected
nodes
at
all
where
things
are
where
more
things
are
routing
through
or
connecting
to.
A
That's
just
you
know
a
flood
film
that
work
just
like
Bitcoin,
we'll
talk
a
little
bit
more
about
that
in
a
moment,
but
but
then,
when
it
comes
to
these
other
node
types,
it's
it's
overlaying,
a
kind
of
decentralized
network,
not
a
fully
distributed
network.
But
there's
you
know
a
handful
half
a
dozen
or
so
of
these
seed
nodes
and
price
nodes
and
so
on,
and
so
the
way
that
we
decentralize,
that
right
is
is
that's
not
individual
risk
users
running
those,
because
only
a
few
are
necessary.

Like
like
Manfred
mentioned,
they
tend
to
be
hosted
on
cloud
servers,
whether
it's
digital
ocean
or
AWS
or
Heroku,
or
whatever
we
distribute
those
across.
We
intentionally
make
sure
that
we're
not
running
them
all
on
the
same
cloud
providers
and
we
make
sure
that
as
many
different
contributors
are
running
those
nodes
as
possible.
So
when
we
talk
later
about
this
day,
we'll
talk
about
roles
within
the
disk
down
and
some
of
those
roles
are
named
things
like
seed
node
operator
right.

So
if
you're
a
seed,
node
operator,
you're
fully
responsible
for
one
of
those
nodes
and
only
you
have
the
keys
to
it,
the
access
to
it,
you're
responsible
for
its
uptime
and
its
upgrades
and
all
of
that
stuff
right.
So
so,
at
every
level,
we
we
try
to
keep
it
decentralized.
But
it's
just
interesting
to
note
that
in
some
ways
it's
a
fully
distributed
network
and
in
other
ways
it's
a
decentralized
network.

So
let's
move
on
yeah,
so
a
bit
more
about
the
peer-to-peer
network.
So
the
offer
book
right,
the
collection
of
all
the
offers
to
buy
Bitcoin
and
to
sell
Bitcoin
for
fiat
currencies
or
other
cryptocurrencies,
or
what
have
you
that's
a
distributed
to
offer
book
so
like
Manfred
was
mentioning
a
moment
ago.

One
of
the
roles
that
the
seed
nodes
play
is
it
can
help
kind
of
bootstrap
the
offer
book,
and
you
know
at
your
best
clients,
startup
time
but
fundamentally
once
you've
bootstrap,
you
have
a
complete
copy
of
Fisk's
offer
book
and
any
other
client
coming
online.
Connecting
to
you
can
always
ask
you:
hey
am
I
missing
anything.
Can
you
give
me
the
latest
new
stuff
that
you
have
and
and
that
works
again?

We're
then
passing
messages
between
clients
using
the
protobufs,
Google
Google's
protobuf
library,
as
the
wire
form
that
and
then
when
were
talking
to
some
of
those
nodes
like
the
price
node,
particularly
we're
talking,
JSON
sort
of
normal
HTTP
rest
like
services,
so
there's
a
mix
of
things
but
most
messages
on
the
network.
Certainly
everything
regarding
the
trade
protocol
is
all
protobuf
based.

So
like
I
mentioned,
all
nodes
are
tor
hidden
services,
certainly
including
desktop
clients,
but
all
nodes
on
the
network
or
tor
hidden
services,
and
what
that
makes
possible
is
that
exchange
clients
never
have
to
leave
the
Tor
network,
so
there's
nothing
that
abyss
client
needs
to
do.
It
requires
them
to
hit
an
exit
node
on
the
Tor
network
and
with
all
that
said,
you
know
where
it's
safe
to
say
we're
pretty
proud
of.
This
appeared
up
here
in
network.
It's
something
exciting
that
we've
gotten
it
to
work
with.

The
degree
of
you
know
resiliency
that
it
has,
and
you
know
that
really
does
work
right
and
that
took
a
long
time
that
those
fits
and
starts
getting
it
to
that
place.
There
were
entire
phases
of
the
development
of
bisque,
where,
where
we
were
trying
to
do
entirely
different
approaches
based
on
distributed
hash
tables,
dhts
right,
then
you
know
sort
of
more
bittorrent
like
things
and
you
know,
they're
abandoned
those,
didn't
they
weren't
working
right.
We
ended
up
creating
really
our
own
bespoke
peer-to-peer
network.

If
somebody
who
has
experience
or
you're
studying
this
kind
of
stuff-
and
you
want
to
like
really
see
a
real-world
peer-to-peer
network,
that's
designed
for
for
censorship,
resistance
and
so
on,
like
this
is
a
pretty
exciting
place
to
be,
and
then,
as
you
do,
that
you'll
find
out.
Oh
there's
a
lot
of
things
yet
to
be
improved
right,
so
it
all
works
and
we're
very
proud
of
that.

that's
the
org
and
github
this
network
and
then
the
exchange
repository
is
pretty
much
where
historically
everything
has
been.
So
you
would
so
that's
the
home
of
the
of
the
desktop
client
right
you'd,
see
that
in
the
GUI
sub-module
maven
sub-module,
but
it's
also
been
the
home
of
them
of
just
about
everything
else.
So
we
talked
about
seed
nodes
and
so
on.
You
see
that
seed
node
module
there.

this
is
essentially
been
a
mano
for
people
who
know
the
term
right
like
monolithic
repository
approach,
which
is
a
great
way
to
bootstrap
the
project
into
existence.
Right
there's
just
one
place
to
go.
You
don't
know
what
the
structure
is
going
to
be
here.
It's
all
sort
of
white-hot,
you're
figuring
it
out
and
bisque,
is
now
matured
to
a
place
where
it's
most,
certainly
the
production.
You
know
application
and
network.
This
is
this
has
been
live
now
on
Bitcoin
maintenance
for
two
years
with
essentially
no
downtime,
no
incidents
I
mean
this.
Is
you
know?

This
is
a
system
that
really
works
and
serves
people
all
day
long.
So
we
know
a
lot
about
the
structure
and
you
know
a
lot
about
those
node
types
and
so
on,
and
so
we're
now
in
the
process
of
breaking
up
that
monolith
and
extracting
at
least
certain
of
those
modules
into
what
will
become
a
much
more
modular
disc,
where
we
have
a
multi
repo,
multiple
repository
kind
of
arrangement,
a
good
example
of
that
an
early
example
of
that
is
the
price
node.

So
just
over
the
last
month,
or
so,
we've
been
extracting
the
price
node
into
its
own
repository
you'll,
see
live
there
and
get
hard.
If
you
take
a
look
and
what's
really
nice
there,
you
know
many
many
benefits
to
taking
a
multi
repo
approach,
but
one
is
it.
You
know
when
you
go
and
look
at
the
price
node
now
and
and
by
the
way,
to
see
the
very
latest
there.
If
you
do
go,
take
a
look.

People
can
find
that
repository
find
a
bug
that
needs
to
be
fixed
and
have
a
very
simple
process.
Very
simple:
suite
of
tests
very
quick
to
turn
around
a
change
and
a
dedicated
team.
That's
sitting
on
top
of
that
repository.
You
know
the
people
who
have
maintainer
writes
about
repository.
You
know,
that's
their
job
right,
see:
okay,
a
PR
came
in
that's
what
I
do:
I'm
where's
I
review
PRS
for
this
one
repository
right
and
that's
the
role
that
a
maintainer
is
playing
if
they're
the
maintainer
of
the
price
note.

that's
a
that's
a
that's,
a
great
way
to
scale
out
contributions
and
maintenance,
and
so
on
so
pretty
excited
about
that
direction
that
we're
taking
and
like
I,
said
we're
just
just
getting
started
with
that.
So
seed,
no
there's
next
and
statistics
and
monitoring-
and
you
know,
potentially
other
modules
until
we
arrive
at
a
kind
of
overall
architecture
for
the
structure
of
the
code
base
that
it
just
you
know,
reaches
a
kind
of
optimum
for
scaling,
outs
contributions.

Okay,
so
few
challenges
right,
if
you're,
if
you're,
watching
this
and
you're
coming
from
you
know
like
most
people
these
days
right,
might
myself
included
prior
working
on
this
coming
from
probably
a
client-server
kind
of
model,
something
in
the
web.
You
know
you're
building
web
applications
or
web
services,
I
mean
you're
just
building
for
the
dominant
application
programming
model
over
the
last
10
20
years.
You
know
it's
a
pretty
different
world
walking
into
something.
That's
not
client-server
right,
something,
that's
fundamentally
peer-to-peer!

So
there's
there's
a
lot
of
sort
of
thinking
that
needs
to
change
and
and
you're
dealing
with
multiple
layers.
You
know,
but
you
might
not
have
interfaced
with
before
right,
like
using
tor
programming
on
top
of
Bitcoin
right.
It
was
really
important
to
emphasize
where
the
bisque
is
essentially
a
Bitcoin
native
application,
a
Bitcoin
native
exchange
Network.

So
it's
not
just
a
decentralized
exchange
where
you
can
trade
Bitcoin,
it's
a
decentralized
exchange
that
runs
on
Bitcoin,
alright,
so
just
like
a
web
application
is
called
a
web
application
because
it
uses
the
HTTP
protocol
as
an
application
protocol.

natively,
Bitcoin
or
Bitcoin
native
application
or
network
is
so
called
because
it
uses
the
Bitcoin
protocol
as
an
application
protocol.
Right,
that's
a
loose
analogy,
but
I
think
you
know
maybe
a
useful
one.

It's
anybody,
bridging
over
from
that
world,
because,
while
lots
of
the
aspects
of
disk
are
operating
outside
of
Bitcoin
right,
like
so
many
of
the
things
that
I
just
talked
about
the
peer-to-peer
network,
that
does
nothing
to
do
with
Bitcoin
right
protobufs
over
tor
and
stuff,
like
that,
that's
not
Bitcoin,
but
when
we,
when
we're
moving
money
around
right
when
we're
putting
people's
security
deposits
and
trading
amounts
into
a
multi,
sig
escrow
and
paying
that
out
right,
that's
all
happening
on
top
of
Bitcoin,
that's
using
Bitcoin
like
an
application,
programming
layer.
This
is
programmable
money.

This
is
the
internet
of
money
right.
So
that's
that's
a
that's
quite
a
mind
shift
and
not
a
lot
of
people
have
those
skills
right,
I
would
I
would
say
very.
Very.
Very
few
people
in
the
world
have
those
skills,
and
that's
indeed,
why
we're
doing
these
these
sessions
is
it's
just
not
going
to
work
for
us
to.
You
know.

So
the
strategy
that
we
want
to
take
here
for
for
growing
team
is
it's
to
put
out
the
signal
you
know
like
we're
doing
now
and
we'll
have
other
efforts
to
some
people
who
are
really
experienced
with
the
some
of
the
major
tools
we
use
right
Java,
you
know
the
structure
of
large-scale,
you
know
applications
and
you
know
in
code
and
you
know
being
a
real
pro
with
yet
you
know
like
these
things
that
a
huge
number
of
people
have
built
up
excellent
skills
in
over
the
last
10
20
years.
Right.

That's
that's
a
strong
base
to
start
from
so
we
want
to
attract
those
people
to
disk,
and
we
just
know
from
our
own
experience
it's
possible
to
learn
the
rest
along
the
way
right.
You
can
learn
how
to
program
against
Bitcoin
along
the
way
you
can
learn
what
you
need
to
know
about
tor
along
the
way.
What's
much,
much
much
harder
to
to
teach
is
sound
coding,
principles,
architectural
principles
and
so
on.

yeah
I'll
leave
some
of
the
some
of
the
other
stuff.
There
are
many
challenges
this
you
know
one
it's
really
worth
calling
out
is
testing.
If
you
dig
into
this
right
now
and
you're
somebody

are

tests
right?
There
are
tests,
but
there
aren't
very
many
in
a
few.
You
know
sort
of
check
the
coverage
numbers.

very
low
test
coverage
basically
across
this
and
there's
been
a
an
intentional
pragmatic
decision
over
the
years
we've
been
building
this
because
it's
just
you
know,
relatively
speaking,
so
difficult
to
to
build
a
thing
like
this,
the
overhead
of
trying
to
test
it
all
along
the
way
just
didn't
work
out-
and
you
know
many
people
who
are
very
experienced
with
test-driven
development
and
so
on,
have
have
usually
learned
the
hard
way
right.
You
sort
of
gain
a
certain
kind
of
wisdom.

TDD
can
be
a
great
thing,
but
too
much
too
early
can
be
a
terrible
thing.
So
so
we
erred
on
the
side
of
having
not
many
tests
doing
a
lot
of
manual
testing
lot
of
diligence
right.
No,
this
has
to
work
and
it
does.
It
doesn't
mean
there's
no
bugs,
but
you
know:
we've
ensured
that
it
works
well
and
well
enough
through
basically
a
lot
of
hard
work
and
we
didn't
have
a
whole
lot
of
tests
to
help
us
out
along
the
way
we
want
to
change
that
right.

certainly
want
to
change
that,
and
it's
now
time
and
bisques
evolution
where
we
can
begin
to
change
that,
and
we
need
people
who
are
very
good
about
thinking
about
that
and
who
are
up
for
some
serious
challenges
right.

typical
you

kind
of
cookie
cutter
approaches
to
automated
testing
and
so
on,
fail
in
a
number
of
ways
with
this.
So
it
takes.
You
know,
take
some
some,
some
creativity
right
and
some
real
dedication
to
that.

we
need

opportunity

work

something
like

experience.

is
only

massive
contribution

help
implement

in

not
like
they
generally
go
implement
seg
what
it's
like,
no
fill
in
the
gaps
that
are
not
yet
implemented
in
Bitcoin

more

about

want
to
say
something

moving
so
fast
now

need
is
good
developers
who
are
fascinated
capable
interested
in
Bitcoin

have

time

ability

level
up

become

just
a
great
place

do

support,
documentation,
minor,
pull,
requests,
bug,
fixes
typos
fixes
all
that
stuff,

any
open
source
project
is
a
great
way

level
up
the
difference

the
difference
you
get
paid
for
all
of
its
stuff.

get
compensated
for
every
piece
of

one

Bitcoin

what
we
use

does
it
work
right,

just

very
high

it's
pretty
simple.

valuable
stuff,
finish
valuable
work
for
the
best
ow

submit
a
compensation
request
and
get
compensated.
That's
the
model
right
at
a
very
high
level,
but
of
course
it
requires
a
bit
more

Bitcoin

advantage

them

idea
is

transferring

maintainer

gap

filling

beast

Most
most
people
on
this

probably
heard
the
term

very
few

interacted
with
one
or
used
ones,

they're
just
very
the
rare

sort
of
production
instances
of
the
idea
of
a
colored
coin.
But
how
it
works
is
that
we've
had
donations
to
the
bisque
project
over
the
years,
especially
in
the
early
years.

Bitcoin,

we
now
do

take
those
Bitcoin
that
have
been
donated

supporters

we
cut
them
up
into
tiny
fractions

just
change
it

be
a
hundred

to
shoot
the
pieces

never
mind

the
principle
is
the

in

process,

backed

a
tiny
fraction
of
Bitcoin

what
we've
already

distributed,

disk
all
the
people

ever
contributed
to

we
did
that
in
July
of
last
year
or
actually
in

there's

holders

were

were
awarded
that

idea

building

five

introduced
keep
using
BTC
to
pay
the
trading
fees
when
they
do
that,
so
that
that
loop,
that
cycle
every
time
and
the
trader
pays
a
trading
fee.
Today,
right
now,
arbitrators
get
compensated
as
a
function
of
the
structure
of
the
Bitcoin
transactions
that
bisque
trades
are
based
on
arbitrators.

Is
that
there's
no
way
to
compensate
other
contributors,
so
the
only
contributors
that
are
getting
compensated
inside
of
bisque
right
now
are
arbitrators
and
that
really
did
work
basically
just
fine
for
quite
a
while,
because
in

days

arbitrator's
were
also
the
developers
and
also
playing
every
other
role
or
virtually
every
other.
Many
many
of
the
roles,
so
in
the
early
days
of
best
compensating
the
arbitrator's
was
effectively
compensating
much
of
the
contributors.

today,

there's,
there's
an
increasing
number
of
contributors
and
there's
no
way
in
this
existing
model
to
compensate
them,
and
that's
why

introduce
bsq.
So
what
changes
here
is
the
traders
still
use
bisque

contribute
still
work
to
improve?
It
gets
more
useful
time.
Traders
keep.
You
know
in
this
virtuous
cycle,
continuing
to
use
bisque,
they
can
pay
trading
fees
in
Bitcoin
and
that's
the
first.
The
first
utility
of
bsq
is
trading
right,
so
stakeholders
sell.
So
what
do
I
mean
by
stakeholders?

mean
people
who
have
bsq
so,
like
I,
said
those

people
that
were
initially
awarded
bsq
in
the
bsq
genesis,
distribution,
those
are
stakeholders
and,
as
we'll
see
everybody
who's
doing
work
today
and
acquiring
new

stakeholders

So
the
first
function

is
trading.
Stakeholders
sell
their
bsq
to
a
trader
who
wants

buy

roles

vsq
and

interesting
under
the

How
this
happens?
It's
all
again
based
on
Bitcoin.

on
chain
transactions
and

at
a
high
level
earning
is
issuance,
so
you
create
new
bsq
and
you
earn
it
and
when
traders
spend
yes,
so
of
course
that
increases
the
total
supply.
The
Bitcoin

new,
every
new
compensation
request
approved,
is
adding
to
the
total
supply
of
the
SQ.
So
if
you
just
take
a
glance
that
you
go
like,
oh
my
god,
this
is
an
on
cat.
You
know
token
it's
just
going
to
inflate
like
crazy.
Isn't
this
what
we're
all
trying
to
avoid
here?

know
it
looks
all
very
dangerous
right,
but
then
you
understand
the
other
side
of
the
equation,
which
is
that
as
traders
use
bsq
as
they
pay
those
fees,
those
fees
in
DSP
are
actually
destroyed,
burned,
as,
as
we
say
in
the
space
right,
so
we're
burning
those
tokens
making
them
provably
undable.
The
underlying
Satoshi's
can
never
be
used
as
bsq
again
on
the
network.
So
this
decreases
the
total
supply
and
this
overall
arrangement
allows
for
so
far
in
our
experiences
is
a
novel
model.

seen
any
other
system
doing
exactly
what
we're
doing
here.
It
allows
for
a
certain
equilibrium
to
be
to
be
achieved
right,
and
maybe
we
achieve
a
total
equilibrium
where
the
exact
number
bsq

created,

destroyed
or
it's
slightly
inflationary
or
it's
slightly
deflationary.
It's
very
interesting
when
it's
deflationary,
if
it's
slightly
deflationary
over
time,
of
course,
everybody's
bxq,
it's
getting
a
little
bit
more
valuable
over
time.

interesting
aspects
of
this
model
and
