A
A
The
president,
we
have
four
thank
you
at
this
time,
I'd
like
to
ask
all
counselors
and
guests
to
please
rise
and
I
will
turn
over
the
podium
to
councillor
O'malley
to
introduce
our
faith
leader
for
the
day
after
the
invocation
is
delivered.
Please
remain
standing
and
councillor.
O'malley
will
lead
us
in
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
C
Thank
you,
madam
president,
good
afternoon.
Colleagues,
it
is
my
distinct
honor
and
pleasure
to
introduce
a
dear
friend
of
mine
and
a
constituent
in
a
great
safe
leader
in
our
community.
The
Reverend
Laura
Everett
I
first
met
Reverend
Everett
at
a
meeting
about
the
Casey
overpass
and
having
some
spiritual,
calm
guidance
in
that
room
went
a
long
wave
to
everybody.
She's,
a
tremendous
friend,
we've
gotten
to
know
each
other
very,
very
well,
she's,
also
an
avid
cyclist,
and
she
is
the
author
of
the
new
book.
Let
me
hold
it
up
if
I
may.
C
Madam
president,
holy
smokes,
which
is
a
term
it
terrific,
memoir,
are
and
sort
of
spiritual
guide
to
the
subtitle
is
the
search
for
urban
spirituality
on
two
wheels
and
I'm
sure
one
of
the
people
that
will
be
closing
in
today
is
Richard
Arthur,
the
young
man,
the
cyclist
who
was
killed
this
week
after
fatal
crash
in
the
Back
Bay
a
lives
himself.
He
was
from
South
Boston
I
believe
but
Reverend
Everett
has
also
been
a
great
faith
leader
in
the
cycling
community,
particularly
in
challenging
week
such
as
this.
C
She
is
the
executive
director
of
the
mass
Council
of
Churches.
She
is
a
native
New
Jersey
ight,
but
came
to
Divinity
School
at
Harvard
on
in
2001,
where
she
began
her
seminary
career
and
she's.
Just
been
a
tremendous
leader
and
a
great
friend
to
me.
So
please
join
me
in
welcoming
the
Reverend
Laura
Everest.
D
D
dig
down
deep
enough,
and
these
Boston
roads
are
probably
the
same
ones.
Paul
Revere
rode
moving
through
Boston
by
bike,
has
shown
me
that
the
city
is
a
sort
of
Scripture,
a
holy
text
to
read
and
reread
to
study
and
memorize
to
grieve,
to
celebrate
and
finally,
to
make
sense
of
the
world
the
city
as
a
kind
of
holy
scripture,
lettuce,
fest,
oh
God,
you
who
set
the
Stars
in
their
course
and
created
this
good
earth.
We
praise
you
for
Boston.
D
If
city
is
a
scripture,
teach
us
to
read
carefully
each
place.
We
do
not
understand
every
confusing
parable
everything
that
seems
intractable,
impossible,
unclear
if
city
is
scripture,
teach
us
to
lament
every
street
corner
shrine
every.
Needless
ghost
bike,
every
act
of
violence,
every
sleepless
night
behind
shuttered
windows.
If
city
is
scripture,
teach
us
to
seek
justice
for
every
character
without
a
name
every
child
without
a
dream,
every
Bostonian,
without
a
home.
D
If
this
city
is
scripture,
teach
us
to
reverence
the
people,
teach
us
to
celebrate
with
those
rejoicing
and
mourn
with
those
who
are
weeping
if
city
is
scripture,
teach
us
to
tell
and
retell
the
best
stories
of
our
city.
The
stories
that
bind
us
together
if
this
city
is
scripture,
teach
us
to
repent
for
everything
that
divides
us.
Teach
us
to
listen
to
stories
of
discrimination,
teach
us
to
deplore
and
then
address
the
increasing
economic
divisions
of
this
place.
An
ever
widening
chasm
that
threatens
to
rend
this
very
ground.

and
appropriation
for
other
post-employment

known
as
okay
capitals.
That
appropriations,
including
loan
audits
and
lease
purchase,
free
dockets.
A
E
You,
madam
president,
I
bring
this
to
the
body
with
urgency.
Santander
several
years
ago,
actually
took
over
a
sovereign
banks,
branches
and
at
a
time
when
Boston
as
the
largest
income
inequality
in
the
country,
the
CRA
dollars
of
the
community
and
reinvestment
dollars
are
needed.
More
than
ever.
Millions
of
dollars
are
at
stake
here
for
Boston
resident
and
direct
benefits
loans,
the
small
businesses
and
also
mortgages.
It
is
critical
that
the
Boston
City
Council
makes
a
central
role
in
the
negotiations
that
are
occurring.
E
The
bank
is
actually
attempting
to
remedy
this,
but
we
are
not
at
the
table.
We
are
not
represented
and
we
must
ensure
that
the
Boston
City
Council
that
actually
looked
at
it,
looks
out
for
the
financial
future
of
the
city
of
Boston,
essential
in
those
negotiations.
There's
a
large
contingent
of
individuals
who
have
to
come
together
to
advocate
around
this
and
we
look
forward
to
bringing
them
as
experts
in
the
community
to
the
table.
E
Are
the
folks
from
the
bank
out
to
the
table
and
I'll
just
simply
say
that
this
is
critical
and
looking
at
the
financial
future
and
well-being
for
neighborhoods
and
communities
throughout
the
city
of
Boston.
This
crisis
situation
actually
could
be
an
important
resource
for
people
in
the
city
of
all,
but
they
have
to
remedy
it,
and
we
should
be
at
the
table
directing
how
that
occurs
at
the
at-large
level,
but
also
at
the
local
level
in
terms
of
what
it
means
for
neighborhoods
communities
and
the
residents
of
the
city
of
Boston
that
we
represent.
F
F
Earlier
this
year
we
may
have
in
December
of
last
year
either
way
and
one
of
the
challenges
that
many
of
the
co-op
communities
in
RC
were
facing
was
having
financial
solutions,
lend
to
them
that
many
of
the
regulations
from
inspectional
services,
the
DND
for
supportive
of
co-op
housing
opportunities,
but
I,
think
it's
important
that
when
we
talk
about
community
reinvestment
under
the
federal
rules,
explains
the
opportunity.
Is
there
for
this
body
and
city
government
to
make
sure
that
folks
are
educated
in
the
financial
sector
about
fall
housing?
F
F
You
know
if
we
could
also
not
changing
the
language,
but
making
sure
that
part
of
this
is
and
the
idea
that
coops
lending
be
very
important
in
a
really
great
way
for
folks
across
the
city
feel
to
have
ownership
stake
in
their
homes
to
reduce
a
lot
of
the
displacement
how
we
can
steam.
Thank
you,
Thank.
A
You
councillor
Zakim
unemployed,
could
you
please
I'd
councillors
a
comes
name,
please
that
councilor
Pressley

council
McCarthy

mattina,
Center
clarity,
councillor
sabe,
George,
councillor,
co-moh,

that
the
chairs

docket
number
zero.
Six,
six
five
will
be
assigned
in
the
committee
on
jobs,
wages
and
Workforce
Development.
G
Thank
you,
madam
president.
We've
actually
done
this
before
so
so
James.
We
call
him
'junior,
just
I'm,
going
to
call
him
'junior
tour,
what's
easier
for
me,
J
I
was
invited
to
to
join
this
this
the
application
process
for
this
upcoming
class.
He
got
through
the
very
beginning
pot
and
was
told
probably
a
month
into
it
or
for
many
weekends
with
that
he
was
too
old.
He
wants
to
exhaust
all
the
avenues
to
try
and
still
get
on
get
on
the
police.
G
A
You
councillor
Baker:
are
there
any
comment?
Other
comments
on
this?
We
do
need
unanimous
consent
to
act
on
an
docket
on
the
same
day
that
it's
introduced.
Councillor
Baker
at
this
time
moves
her
suspension
of
the
rules
and
passage
of
docket
zero.
Six,
six,
six,
all
in
favor,
say
aye
any
posts
in
a
stuck
at
zero.
Six
six
six
has
been
passed.
A
A
A
A
And
chair
moves
for
suspension
and
passage
of
docket
zero,
six,
seven,
zero,
all
in
favor,
say
aye,
any
opposed,
say,
nay,
the
eyes
have
it
docket
zero.
Six
seven
zero
has
been
passed,
I
am
informed
the
purpose
there
are
no
late
filed
matters
for
the
agenda
so,
but
there
is
one
late
filed
matter
for
the
consent
agenda
which,
in
the
absence
of
objection,
will
be
added
hearing.
None
the
matters
are
added
and
chair
moves.
Adoption
of
the
consent
agenda,
all
in
favor,
say
aye
any
closing
day.
I
have
a
consent
agenda
is
adopted.
H
George,
for
what
purpose
do
you
rise?
Thank
you,
madam
president.
I
rise
today
just
to
just
to
wish
a
happy
birthday
to
the
triplets
Charley
Kaden
insam
turn
11
today.
So
I
thought
ask
for
me
wanted
to
because
it's
a
meeting
landed
on
their
real
birthday.
I
thought
it
would
be
fun
to
officially
well
wish
them
a
very
happy
11th
birthday
and
I
did
make
the
cupcakes
for
school
today
and
when
we
make
the
cake
or
something
for
this
weekend
for
their
party,
so
thank
you.
H
G
You,
madam
president,
just
kind
of
stay
in
the
hole,
Mother's
Day
sort
of
thing,
even
though
I
was
two
weeks
away.
I
got
here
a
notices
return
two
days
Ian
or
Candice.
It's
about
Mother's
Day
is
around.
The
corner
would
like
to
love
you
to
recognize
a
special
day.
Please
share
with
us
motherly
advice
I
received
from
my
mother.
G
I
I
J
You,
madam
president,
yes
been
keeping
with
the
Mother's.
Day
seems
just
a
reminder
that
the
Lucy
Brown
Peace
Institute
annual
Mother's
Day
walk,
is
approaching
us.
As
you
know,
the
the
motto
of
the
Lucy
brothy
substitute
is
in
unity.
There
is
healing
everyone
on
this
body
recently
signed
onto
an
order
regarding
a
violence
in
the
City
of
Boston.
We
know
this
is
a
problem
affecting
every
community
every
neighborhood
in
this
city.
We
all
can
play
a
role
in
the
solutions
to
foster
peace
and
to
support
surviving
family
members.
J
Who've
lost
a
loved
one
to
homicide
in
the
last
presidential
cycle.
There
were,
there
was
so
much
attention
about
the
mothers
of
the
movement,
and
we
have
our
own
mother's
of
the
movement
here
locally
and
I
would
argue
that
the
leader
of
that
movement
is
Phoenix
airy,
so
I
would
encourage
all
of
you
to
recruit,
walk
teams
to
donate
water
for
water
stations
or
just
to
make
an
investment
and
to
do
it
in
the
memory
of
someone,
a
loved
one
that
perhaps
we've
lost
to
violence.
Thank.
A
J
A
Today,
the
council
will
adjourn
our
meeting
in
memory
of
the

Randy
Brooks
for
councillor
O'malley,
Daniel,
bacchiocchi
and
Mary
McNair,
and
for
all
councillors
risk
Archer
mentioned
earlier.
The
cyclist
we
lost
in
Back
Bay,
Kathleen,
antique
a
chin,
Catherine
white,
the
wife
of
former
mayor
Kevin,
white

Peggy
and

A
moment
of
