Culture
is
the
bedrock
of
Boston.
It's
been
a
priority
for
mayor
Marty,
Walsh
they've
been
major
investments
in
our
library
citywide.
The
Employment
Services
enrolls
at
those
libraries
play
as
cultural
and
educational
hubs
here
in
the
city
in
our
communities
has
been
a
renewed
commitment
to
live
music
and
outdoor
dining
in
Boston,
leading
to
diverse
restaurants,
full
of
diverse
patrons
with
music
art
and
dance.
To
enhance
the
experience.
C
Arts
funding
is
in
the
mayor's
capital
budget.
In
a
cultural
plan,
the
first
type
of
plan
at
over
a
generation
has
been
implemented
under
the
leadership
of
Mayor
Walsh
in
chief
of
Arts
and
Culture
Julie
borrows
this
plan
called
Boston
creates,
took
one
year
to
complete
it
put
forward
a
ten-year
comprehensive
plan
to
support
agriculture
in
Boston.
This
leadership
was
recognized
nationally.
As
mayor
Walsh
was
awarded
the
local
arts
leadership
award
in
January
at
the
US
mayor's
conference.
This
national
award
is
given
by
the
advocacy
group
Americans
for
the
Arts.
C
C
Leadership
is
really
about
inspiring
people
to
work
together.
Mr.
mayor
is
a
probability
and
it's
my
great
privilege,
on
behalf
of
inspire
arts
of
music,
to
recognize
your
work.
The
impact
that
you're
making
here
in
Boston
on
the
state
level
and
on
the
national
level
is
truly
inspiring
I
like
to
introduce
and
recognize
the
2007
champion
award.

He
looked
at
me
and
he
said
Maggie

Chris
Holland
from
from
Georgia,
sir
and
I
realized.
He
was
one
of
the
kids
that
when
I
was
coaching
and
stuff
he
was
involved
in
the
program.
So
it
was
great
to
see
him
tonight.
Thank
you,
Chris
I'm,
on
it
to
receive
this
meal
as
well
on
the
neighborhood
I
want
to
thank
the
entire
board
and
inspire
us
in
music.
Aren't
they
David
I
want
to
thank
Mike
wood
Oliver
thank
Kim
Bo,
supporting
all
the
board
members.
B
This
is
an
incredible
opportunity
that
you
preserve
you
present
to
so
many
young
people
in
our
city
and
I
want
to
thank
you
for
that.
I
want
to
thank
the
Crusaders
who
were
here
going
to
perform.
The
High
Park
use
performance
is
going
to
be
performing
a
little
bit.
The
Blessed
Sacrament
color
god
I
want
to
congratulate
all
of
you
for
the
great
work
you
do
so
we
should
clap
for
all
the
performers
day
night
without
them.
We'd
be
listening
to
me.
B
B
And
I
also
want
to
thank
Henri
vitality
was
here
from
the
head
of
our
water
and
sewer
in
the
city
of
Boston
and
Henry,
as
well
as
somebody
who
who
cares
about
our
youth
kids
about
our
arts
programs,
kids
about
our
city.
Anyone
see
also
kids
about
our
water
and
we
have
the
best
drinking
water
in
the
country
and
that's
because
of
energy
Italian.
The
men
and
women
of
the
boss'll
owners,
school
Thank,
You,
Henry,.
B
Arts
and
music
there's
so
much
to
support
our
young
artists
in
the
city
of
Boston
and
beyond.
They
provide
music
opportunities
to
tens
of
thousands
of
young
people.
They
cultivate
amazing
talent
and
they
help
our
young
people
gain
confidence,
the
skills
they
need
to
succeed
in
performing
and
in
schools
and
reaching
their
life
goals.
They
understand
the
power
of
art
and
a
lot
of
people
were
trying
to
do
with
the
city
is
to
express
the
power
of
our
entire
city,
because
I
can
teach
Arkin
it
can
heal.
B
B
Boston
is
already
known
for
being
a
hub
of
art
culture,
but
we
can
do
so
much
more
on
supporting
our
local
talent
and
making
sure
that
ours
is
accessible
to
everyone
in
our
city.
That's
why?
When
I
became
mayor,
one
of
the
first
things
we
did
was
create
the
Capitol
level
position
to
a
nationwide
search.
We
stole
jewelry
barrels
from
Chicago
and
we
were
able
to
bring
it
here
to
do
some
great
things
in
our
city.
Julia
is
led
a
program
to
do
our
first
cultural
cdy
plan
called
Boston,
creates.
A
B
An
excellent
steward
of
community
and
community
anchor.
They
also
provide
free,
after-school
programs
in
High,
Park
and
Dorchester,
with
a
goal
of
offering
free
programs
in
every
single
city
every
single
day
Belen
our
city.
They
set
the
example
of
us
for
our
community
and
I
want
to
thank
them
forth.
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
being
here
today
and.
A
A
B
About
what
they
want
for
their
future,
because
it
truly
is
an
opportunity
that
we
have
to
open
the
door
so
that
they
have
other
opportunities
to
be
able
to
follow
their
creativeness
and
whatever.
That
might
be,
whether
it's,
whether
it's
in
music,
in
theatre
in
painting
in
Indian,
sculpture,
whatever
it
might
be.
We
should
be
the
city
for
everyone
and
thank
you
very
much
and
I'm
ordered
to
get
this.
This
recognition
tonight.
