Boston Housing Authority renamed the building to honor Doris Buntè, former State Representative and Administrator of the Boston Housing Authority. Doris Buntè is a groundbreaking public figure, and was the first woman of color to serve in the Massachusetts legislature. Her career is centered around public housing and equality in Boston.
