Boston Mayor Michelle Wu announce $1.5M in Youth Development Fund grant awards to 60+ Boston nonprofit organizations and the creation of the Office of Youth Engagement and Advancement (OYEA). The YDF is intended to prevent violence in Boston by providing youth with positive activities, supportive community environments, and connections to caring adults. This year, the YDF received an increase of $250K, which will enable increases in both the number of grantees and in the amounts available to grantees.
