Description
At 9:30AM on Nov. 19, Mayor Michelle Wu will address all City of Boston workers to touch base, give an update from her administration, and share her plans for the coming weeks. We invite you to join us!
A
Everyone,
I
am
so
excited
to
be
able
to
connect
with
you.
All
today
is
my
third
official
day
in
the
new
job
and
I'm
still
getting
used
to
a
lot
of
things,
but
a
lot
of
it
feels
pretty
familiar
too.
I've
been
in
the
building
for
a
long
time.
Today
I
took
the
orange
line
as
usual,
and
every
time
I
get
to
come
out
of
our
special
exit
from
the
orange
line
onto
city
hall
plaza
streaming
into
the
building
with
so
many
of
you
all
and
our
amazing
city
workforce.
A
My
heart
just
feels
incredibly
full
and
happy.
I've
had
the
chance
to
work
under
three
different
mayoral
administrations
in
this
building,
starting
as
an
intern,
a
little
baby,
almost
under
mayor
menino,
and
then
on
the
city
council
during
mayor
walsh
and
mayor
janie's
terms,
and
so
I've
seen
a
lot
of
the
ways
in
which
city
government
works.
But
I
also
know
through
each
one
of
those
experiences
that
at
the
end
of
the
day,
it's
really
not
about
the
one
person.
On
the
fifth
floor,
what
happens
in
our
city?
What
drives
our
work
forward?
A
A
I
want
to
make
sure
that
each
one
of
us
feels
connected
into
the
work
that's
happening
across
city
government
and
that
I
know
what's
happening
in
your
lives.
You
have
a
sense
of
what
the
priorities
and
vision
and
big
goals
coming
out
of
the
fifth
floor
might
be,
and
most
of
all
that
we
are
all
focused
on
what's
happening
in
our
communities
today.
A
I
know
most
of
all
that
it's
been
an
incredibly
difficult
time
over
this
last
18
months.
City
government
is
the
front
line.
You
all
are
out
there
every
single
day
and
it's
been
not
just
a
pandemic
on
the
outside
every
single
day
in
our
communities,
but
a
time
of
tremendous
transition
within
city
government
as
well.
Political
campaigns
and
all
of
the
complications
that
that
brings
can
can
take
a
toll
on
all
of
us
and
feeling
like
we're,
not
sure.
A
A
So
I
just
wanted
to
share
a
couple
big
picture
things
of
of
how
I'm
thinking
about
our
job
right
now
in
this
moment,
there's
still
a
lot
happening
out
in
the
world.
There's
still
tremendous
need
out
there
that
I
know
everyone
in
city
government
is
working
hard
for
every
single
day,
so
I
think
about
three
big
priorities
or
approaches.
A
A
The
second
is
that
I
want
to
make
sure
we're
getting
city
hall
out
of
city
hall
into
our
neighborhoods
and
of
course
you
know.
When
I
mean
city
hall,
I
mean
everywhere
the
bowling
building
bcyf.
All
of
our
buildings
should
be
a
platform
for
doing
the
work.
That's
going
to
connect
with
people
meet
people
where
they're
at
door
by
door
block
by
block
and
so
in
how
we
do
our
business
and
how
we
make
our
decisions
in
how
we
listen
and
hear
from
people.
A
A
And
that
means
thinking
big
about
what
people
actually
need
in
this
moment,
doing
the
hard
things
and
working
every
day
to
ensure
that
we're
listening
to
what's
happening
on
the
ground,
so
that
we
can
build
the
best
possible
future
for
our
kids
for
their
kids
for
their
kids
to
come.
So
I
know
that's
a
lot
of
talking
already.
A
I
want
to
just
say
that
I
hope
we
can
stay
in
regular
touch
this
way,
but
it
won't
always
be
me
talking
I'm
going
to
make
sure
that
as
we
do
these
regular
live
streams
or
broadcasts
that
we
can
highlight
the
work
that
you
all
are
doing
in
the
departments.
Get
some
voices
in
here
show
the
amazing
work.
That's
already
happening
and
be
able
to
celebrate
what
you're
doing
and
who
you
are.
So.
Thank
you
so
much
for
everything
that
you
do.
A
If
you
are
able.
I
wanted
to
invite
everyone
also
to
my
first
gathering
with
everyone
I
I
know
it
might
be
harder
for
those,
not
in
city
hall,
to
make
it,
but
you
are
all
invited
at
noon
today
in
the
mezzanine
level,
at
city
hall,
we'll
just
be
there
for
any
city
workers
to
drop
by,
say,
hello,
have
some
snacks
and
and
a
little
bit
of
finger
foods.
A
We
will
have
coffee
from
recreo,
we
will
have
empanadas
from
piccolo
and,
of
course,
my
favorite
we'll
have
cookies
from
hailey
house
so
come
by
between
12
and
1
at
the
mezzanine
level
in
city
hall,
love
to
say,
hello,
just
hear
what's
on
your
minds
and
can't
wait
to
see
you
to
be
able
to
say
thank
you
in
person
right.
Thank
you.
Everyone
have
a
great
day
and
weekend.
