A
When
the
summer
weather
heats
up
annual,
athletic
leagues
pop
up
in
community
centers
and
local
fields,
all
across
the
city,
but
amongst
the
many
summer,
youth
programs
in
Boston,
the
one
that
stands
taller
than
the
rest
is
the
Boston.
Neighborhood
basketball
league
over
1500
players
participate
in
the
bmbl
every
year
and
this
year
has
cause
for
celebration
with
the
league.
Now
on
its
50th
season.
A
Let's
head
out
to
Mission
Hill,
there's
the
top
two
teams
at
the
site
in
the
15
and
under
Division
Marshall
spoilers,
taking
on
the
VLA
dragons
1st,
half
Marshall
gets
it
going
early,
Nathan
and
Roberts
off
the
steal
scores
to
lay
in
for
the
spoilers.
They
take
a
6'5
early,
lead
later
on
the
half
that
half
its
Ethan
Robertson
driving
baseline
he
scores
inside
for
the
Marshall
spoilers
puts
them
up
by
5.
Then
that's
the
spoilers
again
with
some
good
ball
movement.
A
This
time,
abdul-rahman
Daly,
oh,
and
connects
from
long
distance,
which
the
spoilers
up
faint,
PLA
dragons,
trying
to
hang
tough
Benny
Martinez
slicing
through
the
defense
for
a
2.
He
cuts
the
lead
down
to
7
spoiler,
still
going
strong
as
Julian
Webb
somehow
squeezes
this
one
inside
gets
it
to
go
on
that
runner
back
to
a
ten-point
lead
for
Marshall
just
before
the
half
Tiano
Santos
lays
it
down
beautifully
Avery
Worth
for
the
easy
layup
just
before
the
buzzer
cuts
the
lead
back
down
to
single
digits.
A
Marshall
spoilers,
though
still
hanging
tough,
but
it's
a
PLA
Dragons
trying
to
cut
into
the
lead
a
sassou
Woolgar
in
with
the
two
points
right
there
on
the
break
back
to
a
seven-point
deficit,
but
Marshall
spoilers
were
just
too
much
Julian
Webb.
Once
again,
this
time
hits
high
off
the
glass
back
to
an
11
point,
lead
Mulla,
spoilers,
then
two
and
a
half
minutes
to
go.
Jonathan
Gare
air,
with
the
layup
underneath
Marshall
spoilers,
go
on
to
win
44
to
37.
A
Still
a
lot
of
season
left
to
go,
but
the
Marshall
spoilers
look
like
a
top
contender.
Just
two
weeks
in
well
now
switch
our
focus
over
to
the
softball
diamond,
where
the
end
mayor's
softball
tournament
was
held
over
the
last
few
weeks,
and
despite
the
extreme
heat
and
humidity
many
friends,
family
and
community
members
came
out
to
watch.
A
The
many
saw
young
softball
players
compete,
including
on
Sunday,
when
Dorchester
took
on
Charlestown
for
the
girls
12
and
under
Mayor's
Cup
championship,
let's
head
out
to
Ross
Field
in
Hyde
Park
for
this
one
Charlestown
in
the
dark
blue
taking
on
Dorchester
in
the
light
blue,
we're
gonna
pick
it
up
in
the
top
of
the
second
inning,
it's
Kristina
George
at
the
dish
she
rips
it
up.
The
middle
two
runs
come
in
to
score
for
Dorchester.
A
They
go
on
top
two
two
zip
there
in
the
bottom
of
the
second
bottom
of
the
third,
now
again,
runners
on
second
and
third
for
Dorchester
this
time
it's
Rory
shields
drill
drilling
a
past
third
base,
Isabelle
hustling
down
the
third
base
line.
She
scores
along
with
another
runner
for
Dorchester,
so
they
go
up
four
to
nothing
in
the
bottom
left
there.
On
top
of
the
fourth
now
for
Charlestown,
one
runner
on
but
Isabella's
their
four
cats
for
the
catch
of
the
line.
A
Drive
amperes
in
preserves
the
shutout
for
the
Dorchester
softball
squad
bottom
of
the
fifth
now
Leah,
cruelly
ropes
it
through
the
infield
Katie
Kelly
scores
from
second
base.
Dorchester
goes
up,
9
to
zip
and
it's
Kiera
Flynn
at
the
plate,
drills
it
to
left
field.
Kelly
comes
in
to
score
Flynn
legs
out
a
triple
for
Dorchester
as
they
go
on
to
win
11
to
zip
and
win
the
2019
12
and
under
Mayor's
Cup
softball
championship,
and
we
spoke
with
players
and
the
head
coach
George
after
the
game
about
what
it
was
like
to
win.
B
C
Only
one
like
this,
you
know,
remember
the
source
of
your
life.
You'll
win
the
maze
cop
I
believe
this
is
the
first
ADSL
makeup
championship.
So
it's
incredible
feeling
you
don't
you
only
remember
the
heat
you
just
remember
we
want
and
the
girls
are
so
much
fun.
Girls
had
a
lot
of
fun
together
playing
together
the
real
crooks
games
that
competitors
are
really
good.
The
Blue
Jays
out
of
Roxbury,
rich
Ward,
you're,
really
good
team.

Sundays
ago,
Parkway
took
on
JP
Regan
for
the

and
under

and
despite
losing
their
undefeated
season
in
Game,
one

the

JP

outlasted,
Parkway

The

championship
here
in
2019
winning
five

four
over
Parkway.
So
congratulations
to
both
JP
Regan
and
Dorchester,
from
winning
their
respective
divisions,
Mayor's
Cup
titles
in
a
shout-out
to
all
the
city,
softball

who've,

at
