A
It's
been
over
two
decades
since
the
Latin
Academy
boys,
basketball
team
has
made
it
to
the
Boston
City
championship
in
almost
three
decades
since
they've
won
the
city
lis
title,
but
this
season
the
Dragons
have
proved
that
they
have
as
good
a
shot
as
anyone
to
take
the
city.
League
crown
compiling
the
eight
and
eighteen
and
three
record
this
year,
including
a
six
and
one
mark
in
the
Boston
north.
A
But
in
order
to
get
anywhere
close
to
competing
for
the
city
championship,
the
Dragons
would
have
to
win
their
first-round
playoff
matchup
against
the
South
Boston
Knights
on
Friday,
let's
head
on
to
Ladd
Academy
High
School
in
Dorchester.
The
winner
of
this
one
would
go
on
to
face
new
mission
in
the
city
semifinals
on
Wednesday
early
in
the
first
quarter,
dragons
on
Sasebo
Garin
gets
the
rebound,
and
the
putback
puts
the
Dragons
up
by
four
there.
A
In
a
couple
minutes
gone
by
in
the
first
quarter
later
on
in
the
quarter,
southeast
Kyle
Murray
finishes
a
reverse.
Lane
keeps
it
a
four-point
game
for
the
Knights
dragons.
Would
then
heat
up
Muhammad
Ali
from
the
corner
knocks
down?
The
trifecta
puts
Latin
Academy
up
by
7,
then
towards
the
end
of
the
first
quarter:
Latin
Academy,
still
cooking
La,
Maison
Lawson
gets
the
steal,
goes
coast
to
coast
to
the
hoop
and
the
harm
puts
the
dragons
up
by
13.
A
Second
quarter
now:
Latin
Academy
crews
in
Abdul
aji
Aiden
buries
the
three
put
Latin
Academy
up
by
30
there
in
the
second
quarter,
South
Boston
trying
to
keep
it
close,
Kyle
Murphy
with
a
three
from
the
deep
wing
cuts
it
back
down
to
a
24-point
lead
dragons,
led
by
26
at
the
half
3rd
quarter,
dragons
still
rolling
off
the
good
ball
swing.
It's
Ali
again
with
the
corner.
Trifecta
puts
the
Dragons
up
by
26.
Still
in
the
3rd
quarter,
Nemo
Stoppard
knocks
down
the
corner.
Three.
The
Dragons
were
burying
threes.
A
All
night
long,
Latin
Academy
went
on
to
win
91
to
49
over
at
South
Boston
on
the
first
round
of
C
League
playoffs.
Let's
take
a
look
at
the
other
City
League
playoff
games
from
Friday
and
night.
They
see
Jeremiah
Burke
took
down
stone
actually
on
Thursday
night
83
to
67
Ethan
de
libo,
with
20
points.
Five
assists
and
4
steals
for
Jeremiah
Burke,
so
the
Bulldogs
advance
to
the
City
semifinals
to
take
on
tech,
Boston
Wednesday
at
Madison,
Park
at
1:45,
and
then
would
Latin
Academy
winning
that
game
that
we
just
showed
you.
A
They
will
take
on
new
mission
on
the
boys
side
right
after
the
tech,
Lawson
Burke
game
at
3:30.
That's
the
girls
side
now
is
new
mission
handled
Snowden
5538,
just
Shari
green,
with
20
points
for
the
lady
Titans
and
O'brien
easily
took
down
Jeremiah
Burke
72
to
18.
So
then
there
you
see,
Latin
Academy
will
face
new
mission
on
Wednesday
at
5:15
p.m.
over
at
Madison
Park
of
the
city,
semifinals
and
O'bryant
will
take
on
Fenway
in
the
first
game
of
the
afternoon
at
noon
over
at
Madison,
Park,
High
School.
A
It's
always
a
blast
over
there
at
the
Mara
dome
for
the
City,
semifinals
and
city
championship
make
sure
you
get
over
there
over
the
next
couple
of
days.
Now,
speaking
of
Madison
Park,
another
milestone
was
reached
by
their
longtime
boys,
basketball,
coach,
Dennis
Wilson
on
Monday
February
10th
coach
Wilson
earned
his
400th
career
victory
when
the
massive
Park
Cardinals
defeated
cash.
A
57
to
33
coach
Wilson
has
spent
a
total
of
34
years
as
the
head
coach
of
the
Madison
Park
boys,
basketball
team,
beginning
in
1982
Wilson
led
the
Cardinals
to
a
state
championship
in
his
first
season
and
has
also
won
a
handful
of
City
championships,
including
back-to-back
titles
in
2009
and
2010.
The
basketball
court
at
Madison
Park
High
School,
was
renamed
Dennis
Wilson
Court
at
a
ceremony
back
in
December
of
2015.
So
congratulations
to
coach
Wilson
on
his
400th
career
victory
is
well-deserved.
Folks,
that's
gonna!
