A
We
turned
our
calendars
to
November
on
Friday,
which
means
it's
playoff
time
and
fall
high
school
sports.
But
while
postseason
high
school
football
kicked
off
on
Friday,
the
city
soccer
championships
were
held
on
Wednesday
over
at
Boston
English.
So,
let's
head
out
to
the
soccer
field
there.
It's
the
boys,
soccer
city,
championship,
East
Boston
Jets,
carrying
an
undefeated
regular
season
into
this
one,
but
it
was
Burke
on
fire
early
off
the
corner.
Kick
it's
domingo
Tavares,
putting
it
home
for
the
Bulldogs.
They
go
up.
A
One
nil
there
in
the
first
half
and
later
on,
it's
Burke
trying
for
another
one
but
easties
Nicholas
to
Silva.
With
the
diving
stop
right
there.
He
keeps
it
a
one-nil
game
there
for
the
East
Boston
Jets.
Now
later
on.
In
the
first
half,
it's
gonna
be
Khalid
Abdi
dribbling
through
the
defense
and
finding
the
corner
of
the
net
for
the
goal.
Burke
goes
up
to
two
zip
they're
in
the
rain
at
Boston,
English
Kevin,
Barry
Oh
for
East
Boston
gonna
have
the
ball
here.
A
Diving
stopped
that
time
once
again
by
the
English
East
Boston
netminder,
but
it's
not
enough
as
the
Bulldogs
would
hang
on
to
win
to
the
zip
over
East
Boston
in
the
city
soccer
championship,
their
captain,
Adel
Co,
winning
the
MVP
on
the
boat
and
the
boys
City
playoffs
City
championship
for
the
Burke
Bulldogs
here
in
2019
and
earlier
that
afternoon,
before
the
rain
started.
Coming
down.
Was
the
girls
city
soccer
championship
and
Latin

the

year
in
a
row?

Latin

as
they
win
the

at
Boston,
English,
High,
congrats
to
Burke
and
Latin
Academy.
Those
two
squads
have
also
earned
high
seeds
in
a
home
game.
The
first
round
of
the
state
tournament.
A
Now,
speaking
of
the
state
tournament,
the
state
football
playoffs
began
on
Friday
night
and
five
bps
high
school
football
teams
were
in
action,
including
the
O'brien
Tigers,
who
had
to
travel
all
the
way
up
to
Chelmsford
to
take
on
the
three
seeded
Lowell
Catholic
Crusaders.
So
let's
head
up
to
Chelmsford
high
for
this
one.
They
you
see

a

for
the
Tigers
got
his
ankle
twisted
up
a
bit
there.
He
would
not
return
for
the
rest
of
the
game.
Big
loss
for
O'brien,
but
they
hung
tough
Michael
Brooks
rolling
to
his

finds
a
wide
open,
Khalil

for
a
30-yard
touchdown
connection,
six-zip
O'bryant
there
in
the
first
quarter.
Second
quarter
now
Lowell
Catholic
driving,
Ian
Nichols
weaving
through
the
O'brien
defense
right.
There
makes
his
way
down
to
the
10
yard
line
19
yard
pickup
for
Nichols.
A
He
would
later
punch
it
in
from
the
one-yard
line.
We
tied
the
game
at
6
apiece
about
a
minute
to
go
here
in
the
second
quarter.
Lowell
Catholic
quarterback,
Ryan
Penrose
gets
the
ball
stripped
by

Tigers
recover
and
get
it
in
Crusader
territory
inside
the
40
yard
line
with
about
50
seconds
left
before
the
half
Tigers.
A
Then
on
the
two-point
conversion,
its
Penrose
rolling
2
is
right.
He
finds
Andrew
Martin
just
passed
the
goal
line.
2-Point
conversion
puts
the
Crusaders
up
by
one
now.
It's
O'bryant
on
the
very
next
offensive
play.
Brooks
finds
Antwone
Fisher,
who
turns
on
the
Jets
64
yard.
Touchdown
reception
there
for
Fisher
as
the
Tigers
go
back
on
top
19
to
14
early
in
the
fourth
quarter.
Now
Nichols
gonna
cut
it
to
the
sidelines.
