A
But
with
the
dragons
and
Tigers
matching
up
this
past
Friday
night
O'brien
had
a
chance
to
climb
over
Latin
Academy
in
their
League
standings,
despite
the
Dragons
earning
a
one-point
win
in
their
first
matchup
earlier
this
season,
with
a
win
on
Friday
Latin
Academy
with
all
but
guarantee
a
first
place
finish
in
a
first
round
bye.
So
let's
head
out
to
Latin
Academy
high
school
for
this
one,
they
see
Fiona
Mannion
the
perennial
all-star
for
Latin
Academy,
she's,
just
40
points
but
short
of
getting
2000
for
her
career.
A
It
was
O'brien
coming
out
quick
early
on
that's
Lena
Guerrero,
getting
the
layup
on
the
break.
Tigers
go
up
6
to
2
early
on
later
on.
In
the
first
quarter,
it's
Mannion
with
the
slide
step
right
there
score
on
the
layup
off
the
window.
O'brien
would
lead
by
6
after
the
first
quarter,
2nd
quarter
now
dragons
get
out
on
the
break.
A
It's
Ruth
Norton
off
the
feed
from
Manny,
and
she
ties
it
up
at
13
apiece,
just
under
6
minutes
to
go
in
the
second
quarter,
dragons
no
up
by
2
Chilean,
a
Guerrero
splitting
the
defense
gets
the
hoop
and
the
harm,
and
she
hits
that
one
high
off
the
glass
that
would
give
O'brien
a
one-point
lead
in
the
second
quarter.
Tigers
now
up
by
2
Jordan
Bella
banks,
home
a
3
for
Latin
Academy
dragons,
take
a
one-point
lead
into
the
half
1918
third
quarter.
A
She
picks
up
the
ball
and
finds
the
hoop
for
the
layup
Tigers
retake
a
one-point
lead
later
on
the
3rd
couple
seconds
left
dragons
down
by
one
and
it's
Mohammed,
the
eighth
grader
coming
up
with
a
layup
just
before
the
end
of
the
quarter.
Latin
Academy
leads
by
one
into
the
fourth,
that's
Mannion.
In
the
fourth
quarter
now
once
again
sliding
in
there
for
the
shot
they
go
up
by
5,
then
it's
chilling
to
Grail
for
O'brien
knocking
down
the
corner
three.
A
She
cuts
the
dragons
lead
down
to
six
late
in
the
fourth
quarter,
but
on
the
ensuing
possession
Mohammed
finds
a
wide
open
underneath
the
hoop
for
Latin
Academy.
They
go
back
up
by
eight
and
they
would
hang
on
to
win
this
one.
Fifty
to
forty
three
overall
Bryant.
They
take
sole
possession
of
the
Boston
North.
A
Also
on
Friday
night
East
Boston
takes
down
the
Madison
Park
Lady
Cardinals
46
to
38
Gilbert,
with
19
points
and
seven
rebounds
for
madatha
for
East
Boston
Snowdon
defeats
cash
64
to
35
Forbes
with
30
points
for
the
Snowdon
Lady
Cougars.
We
get
to
some
boys
basketball
scores
for
Friday
night
as
well.
Fosston
united
takes
down
Minuteman
outside
the
city
league
72
to
64
Fisher,
with
23
points
for
Boston
United
and
Acton
Boxborough
defeats
Brighton,
easily
78
to
50
on
Friday.
A
We
also
got
a
couple
more
boys
scores
for
you
from
Friday
night
as
Snowden
took
down
cash,
easily
69
33
Ellis
with
17
points
and
10
rebounds
for
the
Snowden
Cougars.
Then
it
was
South
Boston,
defeating
Fenway
by
1077
267
on
Friday
night.
So
a
big
win
there
for
the
Lady
Dragons,
with
less
than
two
weeks
left
until
the
first
round
of
the
City
League
basketball
playoffs.
Let's
switch
gears
now
to
swimming
as
the
Boston
City
League
held
their
co-ed
swimming
City
championship
this
past
Friday
for
the
13th
straight
season.
A
The
Latin
Academy
dragons
took
home
the
city
crown
the
Dragons
defeated
the
O'bryant
Tigers
and
East
Boston
Jets.

earning
141
points
in
Friday

the
dragons
