High
school
football
post
season
has
begun
six
city
league
teams
qualified
for
the
MIAA
football
playoffs
and
they
were
all
in
action
on
Friday.
The
most
intriguing
matchup
on
Friday
was
between
the
young
Brighton
Bengals,
and
the
gritty
East
Boston
Jets
he's
Boston
defeated
Brighton
in
their
first
match
up
back
in
September
and
hope
that
they
could
mimic
that
success
again.
This
past
weekend,
let's
head
out
to
east
boston,
Memorial
Stadium
for
this
one,
they
see
the
Jets
looking
to
win
the
first
game
ever
in
the
new
playoff
format
for
their
program.
A
First
quarter,
opening
possession
for
brighton
jet
sweep
william
gene
right
down
the
sideline
big
pickup
for
him
down
to
the
31
of
East
Boston.
The
Bengals
will
then
cap
off
the
touchdown
run
by
Kevin
Brown
and
the
Bengals
go
up.
62
zip
early
on
easty
charging
right
back,
though
Jeff
Ben's
on
to
Terrence,
more
that's
good
for
23
yards
inside
the
20
yard
line
for
the
East
Boston
Jets.
Just
a
couple
of
plays
later,
it's
Ben's
on
again
this
time,
finding
Joelle
pastrana
for
the
touchdown
East.
He
would
also
get
the
two-point
conversion.
A
A
Then
it's
nate
hall,
looking
for
gene
again
this
time
in
the
back
of
the
endzone
for
the
touchdown
brighton
bangles
go
up.
14
28
at
the
half
3rd
quarter,
now
Nate
hall
again
going
to
the
air
this
time
for
Gerard
Clark,
the
big
fella
gets
the
Bengals
down
to
the
17
yard
line,
then
on
the
very
next
play
the
Bengals
once
again
going
to
the
ground,
its
Kevin
Bam,
Bam
brown,
with
a
nice
run
here
all
the
way
down
to
the
1-yard
line.
The
bangles
would
tack
on
a
touchdown.
They
go
up.
A
22
28
there
in
the
third
quarter,
but
the
East
Boston
Jets
would
respond
quickly.
Joelle
pastrana
on
the
sweet
to
the
outside
32
yard,
scamper
for
Pastrana
as
East.
He
gets
inside
the
20
yard
line.
Now
from
the
14.
It's
anthony
flamingo,
getting
the
call
and
flamingo
weaves
into
the
endzone
for
the
score
Jets.
Only
down
by
six
points,
ensuing
kickoff
for
East
Boston
William
gene
trying
to
make
a
big
play
here
on
the
return,
but
he
is
going
to
cough
up
the
football
East
Boston
recovers
at
the
Brighton
46-yard
line.
A
That
drive
would
then
spill
over
into
the
fourth
quarter
for
the
Jets
and
again
Anthony
flamingo,
with
a
beautiful
cut.
He
finds
the
pylon
for
East.
Boston
ties
it
up
at
22.
The
two-point
conversion
would
give
the
Jets
the
lead
here
in
the
fourth
quarter,
Bengals
now
down
by
two.
They
go
to
the
air,
but
this
time
it's
intercepted.
Nathan
Rivera
for
East
Boston
brings
it
back
into
Brighton
territory.
The
Jets
hold
on
to
win
32
222
over
the
Brighton
bangles
and
easty
