Description
The East Boston High School Hockey Team joins Mayor Walsh to present Boston Children's Hospital with a check of $2,300. Over the past 15 years, the team has donated over $35,000 for cancer research.
A
My
wife
had
got
diagnosed
with
breast
cancer
years
back
and
when
I
took
over
as
the
head
coach
in
sports
in
high
school
decided
that
we
wanted
to
give
back
something
to
the
community
sold
her
main
treatments
were
over
at
Boston
Medical
Center.
So
we
decided
to
do
a
fundraiser
in
from
the
air
it
just
generated,
and
we
raised
probably
about
$35,000
for
Boston
medical
side.
Last
year
we
decided
that
we
would
try
to
get
children
involved.
So
Children's
Hospital
was
the
the
mainstay
and
we
decided
to
go
with
children.
B
It's
a
great
thing:
I
mean
we
all
take
it
very
seriously
because,
like
I
said
we're
all
affected
by
one
way
or
another,
directly
or
indirectly
so
I
mean
we.
We
kind
of
pour
our
hearts
and
souls
into
that
tournament,
because
we
know
it's
for
a
greater
purpose
and
it's
something
but
greater
than
us.
Thanks.
C
C
There
you
go
over
there,
you
think
about
it,
makes
you
appreciate
what
you
can
do
every
day.
You
know
when
you
go
up
skating
on
the
ice
on
play
hockey.
The
benefits
you
have
some
of
those
kids
over
there
will
never
have
a
chance
it
won't
next
escape.
They
won't
have
a
chance
to
play
that
you're,
giving
them
the
family
some
happiness.
Oh.
Thank
you
very
much.
