From YouTube: Back To School Haircut Event
Description
"If you look good, you feel good!"
Tune in as the Office of Black Male Advancement and My Brother's Keeper host a free back to school haircut event at Celebrity Cuts in Dorchester.
Along with City Councilor Brian Worrell and Mayor Wu, these organizations partnered with 4 barbershops across the city to provide free haircuts for neighborhood youth to help give them a boost of confidence and a fresh look to start off the new school year!
A
B
We're
new
office
created
and
established
by
mayor
wu
the
office
of
blackmail
advancement.
We
also
have
my
brother's
keeper
boston,
which
is
a
part
of
our
office,
and
this
summer
you
know
leading
up
to
back
to
school.
We
partnered
with
four
barber
shops
across
the
city
over
the
past
two
days,
giving
out
over
400
haircuts,
and
then
we
got
a
call
from
council
warrell
looking
to
see
if
we
can
partner.
You
know
with
the
neighborhood
barbershop
who's
been
already
doing
this
for
for
four
years.
B
We
just
want
to
make
sure
we
can
come
and
support
celebrity
cuts
since
they've
already
been
doing
the
work-
and
I
think
for
our
offices
about
how
do
we
support
community
partners,
that's
already
doing
the
work
and
to
make
sure
they
have
the
support
that
they
need
make
sure
that
the
students
have
what
they
need
to
go
back
to
school,
ready
to
learn
to
have
a
successful
school
year.
You.
C
Look
good,
you
feel
good,
and
it's
also
showing
our
community
that
we
have
people
inside
of
our
community,
our
local
business
owners
that
are
willing
to
show
up.
You
know
for
going
back
to
school,
so
that's
very
important,
not
just
for
school,
but
just
for
the
whole
community
in
general
that
we're
all
working
together,
we're
in
that
village
to
support
one
another.
I.
D
Have
two
boys
who
are
going
back
to
school
as
well?
I
know
the
list
is
very
very
long
that
parents
and
families
have
to
tick
through
of
do
you
feel
ready
and
so
to
have
one
more
thing:
just
taken
care
of
free
haircuts,
a
fun
time,
food
backpacks.
It's
it's
incredible
to
see
the
love
and
commitment
to
community
here
from
our
local
business
owners,
who
have
been
through
a
tough
time
themselves
during
this
pandemic.
So
we're
so
grateful
to
lift
up
and
celebrate
our
community
partners
and
so
thankful
for
them.
