From YouTube: William E. Carter School Groundbreaking
Description
Big changes are ahead for the South End's William E. Carter School. To better serve their students with complex learning needs and disabilities, a new building with more classrooms, a theraputic pool and sensory garden are planned for the site. Mayor Wu, Superintendent Dr. Brenda Cassellius, and the Carter School community celebrate the groundbreaking.
A
The
mayor
and
I
are
proud
to
partner
with
the
msba
to
invest
in
the
school
facility
that
the
carter
school
students
deserve
we're
committed
to
the
vision
of
equity,
where
every
student
has
the
facilities
and
the
program
they
need
to
learn.
We
look
forward
to
carrying
this
work
forward
with
the
green
new
deal
for
boston
public
schools.
At
the
mayor
announced
in
may,
she
announced
her
commitment
to
upgrading
school
facilities
district-wide
through
the
green
new
deal
for
boston,
public
schools.
A
B
B
I
know
how
much
you
all
have
put
in
to
get
us
to
this
point
and
how
deeply
connected
your
team
is
to
the
school
that
you
all
have
been
here,
and
the
public
facilities
department,
in
particular
ensuring
that
on
our
service
days,
that
this
was
the
site
that
the
city
of
boston
would
ensure
they
were
doing
their
part,
even
as
we
were
preparing
for
this
big
day.
Thank
you
so
much
to
my
colleagues
on
the
council.
B
I
know
you
just
heard
all
their
names
already,
but
thank
you,
president
flynn
and
councillor
mejia,
councilor
murphy,
councillor
bach,
I
see
representative
santiago
has
just
joined
us
as
well
welcome
and
thank
you
and
to
so
many
you'll
you'll
hear
from
in
in
a
little
bit,
but
our
school
committee
members.
Madam
chair,
jerry,
robinson,
thank
you
for
seeing
this
through
and
keeping
us
focused
on
our
kids
at
every
single
process.
B
Every
single
conversation
committee
member
o'neill
has
been
a
long
time
leader
in
the
district
and
in
this
role
and
to
our
our
friends
and
partners
at
the
msba
director,
mccarthy
and,
of
course,
madame
treasurer
goldberg,
and
then
our
champions
from
within
bps,
so
superintendent
casselius.
I'm
so
glad
that
this
is
the
the
announcement
that's
happening
while,
while
you're
here,
while
you're
you're
overseeing
this
transition,
because
you
have
been
an
unstoppable
force
to
make
sure
that
this
got
done
for
the
district.
And
thank
you
so
much
to
our
to
mr
o'connor.
B
Mr
o'connor,
thank
you
so
much
for
all
that
you
do
every
single
day.
I
got
the
chance
to
visit
here
my
very
first
year
on
the
city
council
and
no
one
who
comes
can
leave
with
any
feeling,
except
just
being
awed
and
inspired
by
the
love,
the
work,
the
energy
and
the
brilliance
of
our
young
people
in
this
building
and
the
educators
who
are
pouring
their
whole
hearts
and
selves
into
ensuring
that
we're
giving
them
every
opportunity.
B
But
if
you
look
up
from
the
young
people
and
the
educators
into
the
building,
then
it
tells
a
very
different
story,
and
so
I
am
so
excited
that
we
are.
Finally
at
this
point.
Last
month,
as
you
heard,
we
announced
a
green
new
deal
for
boston
public
schools.
So
this
will
not
be
a
one-off
that
that
we'll
we'll
get
to
celebrate
and
wait
and
and
come
back,
but
every
single
school
community
needs
to
have
the
facilities,
the
buildings,
the
support
services
that
they
deserve
and
that's
intimately
connected
to.
B
The
learning
and
the
teaching
that
that
happens
in
partnership
with
all
of
our
school
communities
were
investing
in
every
school
across
the
district.
To
create
these
environments
here
at
the
carter
school,
it
has
been
more
than
50
years,
where
our
students
with
disabilities
and
complex
learning
needs
have
gotten
world-class
care
and
love
maximizing
our
students,
access
to
learning
through
a
combination
of
data-driven
instruction
and
individualized
student
first
services
has
really
created
an
exemplar
of
what
our
boston
public
schools
means
for
families
in
the
city.
B
B
We
are
using
this
moment
to
ensure
that
this
is
a
springboard
for
the
families
of
the
carter,
for
our
families,
across
the
entire
district
and
for
the
future
of
our
city.
The
investment
that's
being
made
here
is
one
that
we
are
committed
to
seeing
reflect
the
true
value,
energy
and
excitement
that
we
have
ahead
for
each
and
every
one
of
our
young
people
in
the
city
of
boston.
So,
thank
you
so
much
everyone
and
congratulations
on
this
big
day.
A
Now
I
have
the
pleasure
of
introducing
our
state
treasurer
deborah
goldberg.
Let
me
tell
you
a
little
bit
about
her.
Treasurer
goldberg
is
responsible
for
the
k,
the
state's
cash
and
debt
management,
unclaimed
property.
She
chairs
the
state
boards
of
boards
and
commissions,
including
the
pension
reserves,
investment
management
board,
the
state
board
of
retirement,
the
massachusetts
state
lottery
and
the
massachusetts
clean
water
trust
on
one
more
and
very
important
the
massachusetts
school
building
authority,
churchill
goldberg
has
been
a
frequent
visitor
of
the
carter
school
and
a
tremendous
supporter
of
the
students
and
staff.
C
I
truly
do
not
need
prepared
remarks
for
today
from
the
moment
I
walked
into
this
school
and
I
shared
moments
with
all
of
the
wonderful
students
and
the
beyond
incredible
teachers
and
staff.
I
was
overwhelmed
absolutely
overwhelmed
at
what
you
were
achieving
with
so
little
back
there
doorways
that
wheelchairs
could
not
get
through
bathrooms
that
you
had
to
navigate
a
small
sensory
garden
that
was
really
inadequate
and
no
therapeutic
pool
would
even
have
been
imagined
on
this
site.
C
The
families
are
so
important
here.
It
was
so
obvious
to
me
that
this
project
had
to
get
done
and
as
fast
as
possible,
because
we're
only
meeting
the
needs
of
a
small
group
of
children,
and
yet
there
are
children
all
over
the
city
of
boston
who
can
benefit
from
and
who
can
become
students
at
the
future
carter
school.
C
We're
going
to
have
an
incredible
opportunity
to
meet
the
needs
of
so
many
more
children
that
are
so
deserving,
and
I
couldn't
be
more
thrilled
to
be
sharing
this
day
with
you.
My
dear
friend
mayor
michelle
wu,
it's
very
hard
for
me
to
call
her
mayor
because
we're
michelle
and
deb
and
my
mother
is
madly
in
love
with
her
takes
complete
credit
for
her
being
here,
and
she
knows
that
hey,
so
I
can't
believe
we're
going
to
be
actually
doing
the
groundbreaking.
C
I
can't
wait
till
we
cut
the
ribbon
and
I
want
to
jump
in
that
therapeutic
pool
with
all
the
students
and
we'll
do
physical
therapy
together
and
we
will
learn
and
we
will
enjoy,
and
it
will
be
an
incredible
moment
for
the
families
for
the
staff
for
the
teachers,
for
you
mark
o'connor,
you
better
not
be
going
anywhere
ever
ever
ever
ever
and
let's
get
the
show
on
the
road
and
throw
some
dirt
really
soon.
Thank
you.
A
A
I
recently
learned
that
this
has
been
like
a
a
project
that
goes
back
to
the
menino
days
and
I
think,
when
you
came
on
board,
you
really
helped
to
speed
up
the
process
of
getting
everyone
aligned
on
this.
So
thank
you.
Superintendent.
D
D
I
am
deeply
grateful
also
to
the
msba,
in
particular
james
mcdonald,
jack
mccarthy
and,
of
course,
our
treasure
deb.
I'm
sorry!
I
don't
have
your
last
name
on
here,
but
I
know
it,
but
I'm
losing
my
mind
for
some
reason:
goldberg
I
I
always
do
call
you
deb
and
so
last
year
lasted
for
just
a
second
and
treasurer
goldberg.
D
Your
leadership
among
these
projects,
not
just
this
one
but
multiple
projects
across
the
state
is
just
a
tremendous
testament
to
your
commitment
to
children
and
to
community,
because
it's
buildings
like
these
that
build
community
and
build
a
sense
of
hope
and
place
for
our
children.
So
thank
you.
So
much
today
is
a
monumental
day,
a
step
forward
for
our
students
to
step
forward
for
their
achievement,
both
academic
and
social
and
emotional.
D
This
building
brings
us
closer
to
our
promise
of
providing
more
modern
and
up-to-date
equipment
and
facilities
and
learning
environments
that
are
developmentally
appropriate
for
the
students
who
are
who
are
served
within
it.
Our
students
and
our
educators
will
be
able
to
thrive,
learn
and
grow
in
this
engaging
environment
and
space,
and
this
would
not
be
possible
without
the
investment
of
msba
and,
in
particular,
our
city
partners,
our
city
council.
Thank
you
for
your
support
of
our
capital
budget.
D
And
our
operational
budget-
I
might
add
to
this-
is
seen
in
the
city's
efforts
to
join
several
other
projects.
One
is
going
to
be
opening.
This
fall,
the
boston
arts
academy,
maybe
you've
seen
it
down
by
fenway
park.
It
is
absolutely
gorgeous
and
beautiful
also
a
few
years
ago
they
built
the
dearborn
and
then
next
year
we
will
be
opening
up
the
josiah
quincy
upper
school
and
then
over
25
other
projects
within
the
school
district.
That
msba
has
helped
us
with
they're
called
accelerated
repair
projects.
D
A
E
and
jack,
and
I
and
some
other
members
of
the
msba
team
we
saw-
and
we
heard
from
mark
o'connor
the
staff,
the
amazing
staff
educators
about
the
work
and
challenges
that
they
had.
And
you
know
this
is
not
just
about
about
the
students
and
the
and
the
staff.
It's
also
about
the
families
and
the
support
that
the
carter
school
gives
to
the
community
of
families
that
so
desperately
need
what
is
going
on
here
at
the
carter
school.
E
You
know
we
have
to
find
a
way
to
make
this
work
and,
on
you
know,
december
13
2017,
the
carter
school
was
invited
into
eligibility
and
having
been
involved
with
the
disability
community
for
37
years.
I
know
that
each
child
and
young
adult
with
a
disability
needs
the
support
of
a
community
to
achieve
their
highest
potential.
E
They
will
continue
to
do
that
for
many
years
to
come,
and
also
just
want
to
take
a
moment
to
to
thank
mayor
wu,
her
staff
and
the
entire
city
of
boston
for
the
work,
the
partnership
that
we
are
enjoying
with
the
city
of
boston-
and
I
know
I
see
brian
mclaughlin
in
the
back
there-
you
know
a
behind
the
scenes
type
of
guy,
who
also
makes
sure
that
that
things
get
done,
and
I
also
know
that
members
of
the
the
city,
council
and
school
committee
were
were
mentioned
as
well
as
representative
santiago.
E
We
continue
to
thank
the
legislature
for
the
support
that
they
give
us,
and
you
know,
congratulations
to
the
city
for
selecting
an
amazing
team
to
put
this
together.
Designer
perkins
will
general
contractors
bond
brothers
opm
hill
international.
E
And
they're
probably
cringing
right
now,
because
we
say
that
all
the
time
you
notice-
I
didn't
say
under
budget
on
budget
is
fine,
and
you
know
jack
always
relates
a
a
quote
from
dan.
Valentine
dan
was
a
reporter
in
the
salt
lake
city
tribune,
and
he
said,
a
school
is
four
walls
with
tomorrow
inside
and
we
at
the
msba,
along
with
my
boss,
treasurer
goldberg
are
so
proud
to
be
a
part
of
the
carter
schools
tomorrow.
Thank
you.
A
A
He
also
serves
as
the
school
committee's
designee
on
the
carter
school
building
project
and
has
been
a
long
time
supporter
and
advocate
of
this
new
building.
Earlier
today
he
told
me
this
is
the
beginning
of
the
end
or
end
of
the
beginning.
I
can't
remember
which
one
but
please
join
me
in
welcoming
mike.
F
Thank
you
chief.
First
of
all,
thank
you
to
the
chair
of
the
school
committee.
Jerry
robinson
for
being
with
us
today,
and
also
jerry
would
typically
chair
robinson
would
typically
be
up
speaking,
but
she
asked
me
to
speak
on
behalf
of
the
school
committee
because
she
did
ask
me
to
be
the
designee
to
the
building
committee
and
she
knows
how
passionate
I've
been
about
this
for
the
years.
So,
thank
you,
chair,
robinson,
for
your
support.
F
I
would
typically
have
prepared
remarks,
but,
like
treasurer
goldberg,
I
have
to
speak
from
the
heart
and
and
I'll
try
to
make
it
very
quick.
But
when
I
first
became
aware
of
the
carter
school
was
when
we
tried
to
approve
the
proposal.
Marianne
will
remember
to
just
do
a
pool
and
we
weren't
able
to
get
that
done,
but
I
had
a
fellow
member
say:
have
you
been
out
there
and
I
said
no
and
she
said
you
have
to
go
out.
It
will
change
your
life.
F
F
You
learn
one
word
and
that's
perseverance
and
you
learn
it
from
our
amazing
students.
You
learn
it
from
their
amazing
families
and
you
learn
it
from
the
amazing
faculty
and
staff
who
are
here.
They
teach
you
that
every
single
day,
the
word
perseverance
and
we
are
so
dedicated
to
you
and
finding
and
getting
this
new
facility
done
through
a
lot
of
bumps
and
turns
along
the
way,
there's
been
a
lot
of
challenges
in
boston.
Obviously,
but
I
have
to
relate
a
couple
of
quick
stories.
F
One
is.
I
was
at
that
same
meeting
that
was
just
mentioned
when
treasurer
goldberg
came
for
the
first
time
and
I
walked
around
behind
her
and
I
listened
to
her
questions
and
I
was
blown
away
quite
frankly,
as
I'm
sure
a
member
of
the
fact
memory,
many
of
the
faculty
and
staff
were
of
her
in-depth
knowledge
of
the
needs
of
our
students
with
special
needs
and
what
can
be
done
and
what
is
going
on
here,
the
magic
that
is
going
on
here,
so
treasure
goldberg.
Thank
you.
F
I
learned
from
you
that
day
and
your
unwavering
commitment
since
then
has
been
incredible.
So
thank
you
and
I
also
want
to
thank
superintendent
casilius.
This
project
was
still,
as
mentioned,
had
been
in
the
works
and
one
of
her
first
visits,
as
superintendent
may
have
actually
before
you
formally
started.
Superintendent
was
to
hear-
and
you
were
doing
the
I
the
I
test
right-
the
eye
coordination
test.
I
think
you
mark
will
say
you
may
have
had
one
of
the
highest
scores.
F
F
F
How
can
we
make
it
fast
or
what
can
we
do
different
and
the
msba
every
step
of
the
way
has
been
encouraging
making
this
happen
not
cutting
corners,
not
doing
things
that
could
impact
the
programs
for
our
students,
so
we're
going
to
go
from
24
to
60
students
here
this
is
going
to
provide
more
opportunities
for
our
most
vulnerable
students
in
ways
that
incredible
that
you
understand
every
time
you
spend
time
in
the
building.
So
thank
you
to
all
involved
and,
like
treasurer
goldberg
said,
let's
throw
some
dirt.
F
Let's
make
this
happen
and,
as
I
did
say
to
mark
mark
called
me
when
the
msba
first
approved
it
and
he
said
we're
there
and
I
said
no
mark,
not
quite
I
said
you
may
be
at
the
beginning.
At
the
end
of
the
beginning,
he
said
really.
I
said
you
got
a
lot
of
work
to
do
and
he
is
now
providing
incredible
guidance
to
our
other
school
leaders
who
are
also
working
on
projects
with
the
msba.
F
So
thank
you
mark
for
not
only
what
you're
doing
here,
but
our
other
schools
that
are
benefiting
from
your
experience
and
knowledge,
and
I
know
how
hard
you're
working
on
that,
but
I
think
we've
now
moved
forward.
I
think
we're
now
at
the
beginning
of
the
end.
So
let's
celebrate
that
we
are
going
to
get
this
new
building
built
and
it's
going
to
be
great
for
the
students
of
boston.
Thank
you.
A
So
we're
getting
very
close
to
grabbing
shovels.
I
do
want
to
just
publicly
also
acknowledge
that
the
mayor's
commitment
not
only
to
the
school
facility
plans,
but
also
to
building
capacity
to
agencies
like
public
facilities,
to
enable
us
to
do
this
work.
The
next
person
I'd
like
to
introduce,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
I'd
like
to
introduce
the
formidable
irreplaceable,
dynamic,
charismatic,
unstoppable
kerry,
griffin
director
of
public
facilities,
the
public
facilities
department.
You
know
I
can
speak
for
their
commitment
to
all
of
our
facilities,
but
this
one
in
particular.
A
G
H
H
Thank
you
to
our
financial
partners
at
the
city,
the
office
of
budget
management
and
the
cfo's
office,
and
thank
you
to
all
our
elected
officials.
As
chief
my
irish
mentioned,
pfd
is
responsible
for
managing
and
executing
the
mayor's
capital
plan.
We
build
the
city's
infrastructure
from
schools,
libraries,
police
and
fire
stations,
and
each
building
is
unique
and
provides
an
impact
to
the
community.
H
Pfd's
relationship
with
the
cottage
school
started
almost
10
years
ago,
when
a
single
site
visit
led
to
a
friendship
and
a
commitment
to
build
them.
A
new
school
for
the
last
nine
years
without
fail.
Pfd
has
volunteered
on
one
boston
day
to
clean
and
renovate
the
sensory
guiding.
It
has
truly
been
a
labor
of
love.
H
Our
opm
in
hill,
international,
david
billings
and
inger
foley
are
incredible:
architects,
perkins
and
will
brooke
pat
grace
and
our
new
newest
member
of
the
team.
Our
construction
manager
bond
brothers
led
by
frank,
hayes,
john
mike
west
kyle
and
paul
throughout
the
design
community.
Throughout
the
design
and
community
process.
The
team
held
three
three
main
tenants,
tenants,
purpose
place
and
perspective
purpose.
Each
carter
student
deserves
a
place.
H
Every
task
from
lens
of
the
student
good
is
not
good
enough,
come
to
work
every
day
with
an
attitude
of
excellence
and
I'll
add
a
fourth
p.
Passion
bring
your
drive
and
dedication
every
day
know
that
this
building
will
not
just
be
brick
and
mortar.
This
building
will
change
lives.
We
owe
it
to
the
carter,
school
students,
families
and
faculty
to
do
our
very
best.
A
Thanks
kerry:
now
you
get
to
hear
my
voice
for
the
last
time
as
we
get
really
close.
Now
I'm
introducing
someone
who
doesn't
need
much
of
an
introduction.
A
There
are
not
enough
superlatives
to
describe
mock
principal
mark
o'connor
every
time
every
interaction
I've
had
with
you,
I've
just
been
so
impressed
and
inspired
by
you
and
your
team
and
the
passion
and
the
love
that
you
bring
to
this
work.
So
it's
a
pleasure
to
work
along
with
you
and
invite
you
to
come
forward
and
speak.
I
Thank
you,
chief
irish.
You
know
it's
been
hard
thinking
about
what
to
say
on
a
day
like
today,
as
we
really
look
out
and
it's
bringing
our
entire
community
together.
Most
importantly,
we
have
our
students,
our
staff
and
our
families,
but
also
we're
only
here
today
because
of
the
support
that
we
have
had
from
countless
individuals,
both
treasurer
goldberg
from
your
department
that
mask
school
building
authority,
special
thanks
to
you
jack,
for
I
know,
you're
not
speaking
today,
but
all
that
you've
done
to
guide
this
process
to
support
us
has
been
incredibly
meaningful.
I
Jim,
I
think,
from
the
day
we
met.
It
was
so
obvious
how
much
you
cared
about
this
project.
We
knew
we
didn't
fit
the
mold,
but
we
also
knew
we
had
partners
that
wanted
to
change
the
mold
to
fit
us,
which
is
the
work
that
we
do
also
the
city
of
boston,
mayor
wu.
I
You
know:
we've
gone
through
a
lot
of
transition
since
this
project
started,
but
every
single
time
and
meeting
you
for
the
first
time
earlier
this
year,
just
knowing
that
passion
that
you
had
for
this
project
for
our
school,
the
memories
you
had
of
your
first
visit
to
the
carter
school,
just
put
us
all
at
ease
and
made
us
all
know
that
we're
in
a
city
that
truly
supports
our
students
and
our
staff
and
our
families.
So
thank
you.
I
Vice
chair,
o'neill
and
and
chair
robinson,
whether
it's
through
quiet
conversations
checking
in
making
sure
during
a
pandemic,
our
students
have
and
families
have
what
they
need,
or
through
this
building
process.
You
know,
we've
had
that
support
behind
us
every
step
of
the
way
and
mr
o'neill.
I
know
this
project
probably
doesn't
happen
without
the
support
that
you've
provided
in
creating
that
sense
of
urgency
for
everyone
that
wanted
to
get
together
to
make
this
happen
and
making
sure
that
now
was
the
time
that
we
couldn't
wait
any
longer
superintendent
cosilius.
I
I
think
you
know
from
the
day
that
I
watched
you
with
ben
on
the
eye
gaze
machine
in
room
seven
about
three
years
ago
and
seeing
how
much
you
understood
what
we
were
teaching
and
how
much
you
understood
what
our
students
were
learning.
You
know
we
knew
we
were
in
great
hands
from
that
day
forward
and
your
support
and
advocacy
has
been
second
to
none
for
us.
So
we
thank
you
for
your
work
as
well.
I
I
Our
current
team
here
inherited
the
vision
for
our
school.
We
inherited
the
desire,
the
advocacy,
the
fight
for
getting
our
students
what
they
deserve.
You
know
this
started
back.
Marianne
will
tell
stories
of
being
told
that
when
she
was
the
founding
teacher
of
the
school,
don't
unpack
your
car
leave
your
materials
in
the
trunk.
You
need
to
be
flexible
and
flexible.
I
We
all
know
how
difficult
this
last
few
years
has
been
for
educators
everywhere,
for
students
everywhere
and
for
families
everywhere,
and
our
staff
took
on
the
extra
work
of
going
to
the
visioning
sessions,
ensuring
that
the
team
from
perkins
and
will
had
what
they
needed
in
order
to
best
meet
the
needs
of
our
students
going
forward,
and
that
was
ours.
Countless
asks
of
us
of
different
write-ups
different
looking
over
information
and
what
our
team
was
able
to
do
for
our
students
is
something
that
I'll
always
be
grateful
for
and
specifically
for
our
students.
I
And
we
look
forward
to
the
lifelong
learning
that
you'll
do
the
increasing
your
communication.
I
can't
get
out
here
without
saying
communication
that
you're
going
to
demonstrate
for
us
and
it
wouldn't
be-
we
wouldn't
be-
who
we
want
to
be
in
a
school
that
we
would
want
to
be
by
leaving
our
students
out
of
this
process.
I
So
now
I'm
going
to
turn
it
over
to
kevin
crowley,
one
of
our
teachers
at
the
carter
school.
So
he
can
introduce
to
you
all,
an
activity
that
our
students
did
aligned
with
our
goals
of
teaching
communication
skills
through
multiple
functions,
so
that
our
students
are
all
engaged
in
this
process
and
letting
you
know
how
each
of
them
feel
about
our
new
building
and
just
remember:
teenagers.
J
J
Through
the
use
of
eye
gaze
technology
through
partner-assisted
scanning,
through
movement
through
visual
and
tactile
symbols
and
through
other
modes
of
communication,
we
also
communicate
for
a
variety
of
functions.
One
of
those
functions
of
communications
is
to
describe.
We
have
been
teaching
our
students
how
to
use
their
words
to
describe
an
experience
or
how
they're
feeling,
most
recently,
we
had
our
students
describe
how
they
felt
about
getting
a
new
car
to
school.
J
K
It
was
actually
that
day,
many
years
ago
in
my
classroom
that
I
have
a
photo
on
my
wall
with
the
treasurer
and
marty
walsh
and
a
lot
of
people
that
are
here
today
in
the
front
row.
K
That
really
was
touched
us
that
you
guys
were
in
the
classroom,
asking
questions
meeting
all
the
students
and
it
really
shows
your
dedication
and
how
interested
you
were
in
us
and
what
we
needed,
so
that
was
just
a
little
opener,
but
for
years
now
we've
been
talking
about
how
excited
we
all
are
for
the
new
building,
but
we've
really
been
getting
into
the
nitty-gritty.
We
are
packing
boxes
right
now
it
is
real
and
how
does
that
feel
because
it's
confusing
right,
it's
not
just
the
end
of
a
school
year.
K
K
Last
week
he
told
us
he
was
both
excited
yeah
working
and
watching
excited
for
the
for
the
new
building
and
frustrated,
and
I
think,
probably
that's
because
of
all
the
boxes
in
the
room,
we're
not
sure,
but
all
of
our
all
of
our
friends
here
all
the
students
at
the
carter
school.
Actually,
I
think
kevin's
gonna
intro
the
next
part,
but
we
all
have
a
lot
of
feelings
to
share
with
you.
So
thank
you
all
for
being
here.
J
We
invite
you,
after
the
event
to
come
up
and
meet
the
stu,
meet
our
students
of
the
carter
school
and
find
out
what
they
had
to
say.
Thank
you
very
much
to
everyone.
Here.
That's
made
this
new
school
a
reality.
We
look
forward
to
all
the
opportunities
the
school
will
provide
our
students
in
our
community
in
the
years
to
come.
Thank
you.
