A
A
B
Is
my
friend
Jake
hi
he's
not
so
shy
all
the
time,
but
today
he's
a
little
bit
shy,
but
we
want
to
welcome
everybody
today.
We
noticed
that
their
weather
has
been
cooperating
with
us
for
the
last
couple
of
minutes,
and
so
we
may
have
an
abbreviated
version.
As
long
as
we
have
the
Sun
with
us,
we
will
hold
our.
We
are
all
excited,
so
we
want
folks
to
really
enjoy
the
time
that
we
have
this
morning.
B
We
have
a
lot
of
special
guests
that
are
here
today
and
we
would
like
to
welcome
mayor,
Walsh,
superintendent,
cassellius
city,
councilor,
district
7,
Jim,
Janie,
neighbors,
parents,
families
and
partners
of
the
Higginson
school
community.
We
share
everyone's
excitement
in
celebrating
our
new
Higginson
playground.
B
Essence,
as
an
inclusion
school,
it
is
important
to
have
a
playground
that
meets
the
social
and
physical
needs
of
all
of
our
students.
As
you
look
around
and
watch
our
students
play,
you
can
see
the
wonderment
and
their
excitement
involved
and
see
our
playground
that
is
accessible
to
all
students
at
this
time.
I
welcome
our
music
teacher,
miss
Mendez
as
she
leads
our
students
with
our
higgenson
song.
B
B
Win
it
we're
gonna,
add
the
music
presentation
a
little
bit
afterwards.
So
at
this
time,
I'd
like
to
acknowledge
all
of
the
folks
who
have
been
a
big
part
of
this
playground
and
happening
have
having
it
all
created
in
and
over
the
course
of
seven
years.
It's
been
a
long
labor
of
love
and
we've
really
appreciate
all
that
has
been
done.
It's.
B
We
are
excited
to
have
her
come
to
see
the
Higginson
today
and
share
in
the
joy
that
we
have
had
in
the
last
six
years
in
we're
launching
year
seven
as
we
move
forward,
there's
been
a
lot
of
folks
that
have
been
a
big
part
of
having
this
built
we'd
like
to
also
welcome
elementary
superintendent
Antivirus,
who
joins
us
this
year.
As
our
new
superintendent,
she
has
been
phenomenal
from
the
jump
start
and
helping
our
school
community
launched
2019
2020.
B
We
also
want
to
acknowledge
the
public
school
and
community
leaders
who
have
played
a
significant
role
in
supporting
our
playground,
as
I
call
your
name.
We
would
like
you
to
come
up
because
it's
very
important
for
folks
to
see
who
everybody
is
that
has
been
behind
the
work
that
has
created
such
a
beautiful,
our
playground,
of
course,
mayor
Marty,
Walsh
and
superintendent
cassellius.
B
We
also
want
to
include
Boston
Public,
Schools
central
office,
folks,
John
Hanlin,
Bob,
Smith,
Bob,
Harrington
and
Bob
red
lon,
both
Bob's
Harrington
block
riddlin,
have
been
with
me
every
week,
making
sure
we
have
been
making
out
walking
through
the
playground
and
making
sure
that
everything
moves
along
slowly,
they've
been
phenomenal,
they've
been
just
terrific.
We
also
want
to
acknowledge
our
parents
miss
lane
banks
who
had
two
students
with
us.
B
She
was
instrumental
at
every
meeting
that
we
had
presented
at
the
school
committee
meeting
and
was
very
important
voice
for
the
parents
and
the
students
of
our
school
community.
We
have
ray-guns
original
architect
that
did
this
schematic
design
for
the
grant.
We
have
David
wanna
principle
of
wanna
Lawson
architects
and
he
was
selected
to
do
the
final
design,
Andrew
Lau
architect
at
wanna,
lassen
and
both
Andrew
and
David
were
with
us
along
the
way
we
we
got
to
meet
a
lot
during
the
course
of
building
this
playground.
B
B
They
Dean
Brown
a
community
preservation
program,
community
relations,
director
impulsive
haka
by
an
executive
director
of
higher
ground,
who
was
there
from
Ground
Zero
from
the
launching
and
the
planning
of
knowing
what
we
needed
most
of
entire
ground
is
a
was
one
of
our
first
partners
was
actually
our
first
partner
and
through
their
partnership
they
have
helped
develop
a
partnership
with
friends
of
the
children,
Children's
Services
of
Roxbury,
and
it
just
continues
to
grow.
So
we
are
really
excited
for
all
the
work
that
and
all
the
partners
that
have
supported
us
along
the
way.
B
C
B
It's
really
fortunate.
We
put
a
lot
of
emphasis
on
all
that
we
do
in
our
inclusion
school.
Our
students
have
the
opportunity
of
having
music
twice
a
week,
phys
ed
twice
a
week
in
visual
arts
twice
a
week,
and
we
feel
it
is
important
for
their
social
and
growth
and
development,
and
it
has
worked.
It's
been
just
in
the
course
of
the
7
years
that
we've
been
here.
It's
been
amazing.
It's
just
been
amazing
to
see
them
grow
in
their
whole
social
development
in
general.
So
it's
just
really
exciting.
D
Good
morning,
everyone
weren't
they
just
beautiful
singing
I
heard
some
singing
from
the
audience
as
well.
Boys
and
girls.
Are
you
excited
about
your
playground
all
right?
Yes,
we
are
we're
very
excited.
We
have
some
people
to.
Thank
I
first
want
to
thank
your
incredible
principal
Murray
Mullen.
Can
you
get
her
a
shout
out?
I.
D
D
D
Want
to
recognize
chair,
LeConte,
oh,
who
is
with
us
today
here
also
his
support
of
the
full
school
committee.
I
know
we
might
have
some
other
members
out
here,
I'm
not
sure
from
this
from
the
community
as
well,
or
can
you
partner
as
mosaic
your
incredible
partnership
with
higher
ground,
as
well
as
our
partners
with
a
community
preservation
fund
who
are
here
also
to
celebrate
and
the
many
nonprofit
partners
who
come
together
here
every
single
day
to
make
a
difference
for
our
children?
D
D
D
E
Can
we
give
a
big
round
of
applause
to
our
superintendent
she's,
doing
an
amazing
job
and
she
loves
young
people
and
she's
gonna
do
so
many
great
things
in
our
city
in
our
school
district
that
when
you
get
older
you
be
like?
Oh
my
god,
it
really
changed.
So
thank
you,
Brenda
for
all
you
do
and
to
Michael
and
to
see
consul,
Michael,
Flaherty
and
everyone
from
the
school
department.
Thank
you
is
this.
The
best
school
in
Austin
I
can't
hear
you.
Is
this
the
best
Cola
Boston?
E
That's?
Why
is
it
raining
right
now,
my
god?
But
let
me
just
say
a
couple
things
number
one
is
I
want
to
thank
the
press
for
being
here.
You
guys
must
be
wicked
famous
because
there's
usually
not
five
TV
cameras
follow
me
around
all
day.
So,
let's
be
all
because
of
the
school,
and
they
must
know
something
special
about
the
school.
So
I
want
to
thank
the
press
for
being
here.
I
want
to
think
that
the
teachers,
the
teachers,
do
an
amazing
job
in
the
city
of
Boston,
and
we
don't
get
enough.
E
E
There
wasn't
the
teachers
we
wouldn't
get
smart
right.
I
want
to
also
want
to
thank
the
the
Community
Preservation
Act.
This
this
project
here
was
that
was
a
benefactor
of
a
five
hundred
thousand
dollar
investment
by
the
Community
Preservation
Act
will
get
in
a
minute
Christine
which
which
allow
this
to
happen.
E
The
communitisation,
Preservation
Act
was
an
act
that
was
supported
by
City,
Council,
Michael
Flaherty
and
myself,
and
a
bunch
of
other
people
that
we
were
able
to
raise
additional
dollars
to
be
able
to
put
into
different
projects,
housing,
open
space
and
historic
preservation,
and
without
that
money
we
wouldn't
been
able
to
put
the
additional
money
here
today.
So
I
want
to
thank
all
the
people
who
voted
to
make
this
happen.
I
also
want
to
thank
the
legislature
for
adding
more
money.
E
E
Now
I
didn't
mention
somebody
who
didn't
I
mention.
Anyone
know
why
I
didn't
mention
like
remarks
know
who
did
do
you
think
I
thank
the
teachers,
I
think
the
parents
I
didn't
really
take
the
students.
Oh
I
want
to
thank
the
students.
I
did
the
superintendent
I
thank
all
the
money.
People
I
did
the
press.
This
is
something
I
missed.
E
E
E
And
in
two
weeks
at
the
Boston
City
at
the
Boston
School
Committee
meeting,
the
School
Committee
is
going
to
formally
take
a
vote,
so
it'll
be
in
the
history
of
the
city
forever.
When
people
are
look
out
that
we
they
took
a
vote
and
I'm
assuming
it's
going
to
be
unanimous,
to
name
rename
this
playground
so
miss
Mullen.
We
want
to
say
thank
you
for
everything
you
do.
We
love
you
you're
the
best.
E
And
I
think
we
have
to
kind
of
reminisce
I'm
gonna
take
a
picture,
so
we're
gonna
take
a
picture
in
a
minute
with
certain.
Now
what
I
want
everyone
to
do?
All
the
kids
here,
we're
gonna,
do
two
things
well
play
play
musical
chairs,
we're
gonna,
take
a
picture
with
the
check
and
then
with
all,
but
when
all
the
press
people
leave
we'll
turn
the
camera
off.
We're
gonna
take
one
big
picture
with
everyone
at
the
playground,
how's
that
all
right.
B
You
want
to
sleep,
everybody
that
should
be
standing
alongside
with
me
is
every
student,
every
staff,
member
teacher
power,
everybody
I,
call
it
everybody's
a
staff
member
that
has
been
instrumental
in
building
the
school
to
where
we
are
today,
and
it's
been
more
than
a
labor
of
love.
Everybody
has
given
everything
they
have
and
more
to
dedicating
what
our
students
need
for
all
the
things
that
they've
had
for
the
last
seven
years.
We
started
out
with
minimal
and
we've
done
with
what
we
had
and
we
are
now
growing
to
be
a
another
glowing.
B
Gem
within
the
city
of
Boston
every
school
is
a
gem
within
the
city
of
Boston,
and
we
don't
want.
We
want
to
acknowledge
everybody.
We
know
that
the
work
that's
been
done
here.
My
job
would
not
have
been
as
successful
as
it
has
been
without
all
of
the
staff
that
has
been
here.
It's
just
it's
just
an
unbelievable
staff.
Anyone
who
comes
and
goes
has
had
left
an
impact
and
a
footprint
on
the
development
of
this
school
and
as
we
grow
forward
and
I
retire
in
a
couple
of
weeks.
B
B
Miss
Harris
has
a
history
with
the
Higginson
school
as
well.
She
was
a
former
teacher
here
and
is
grounded
and
rooted
in
early
childhood.
So
we
know
that
this
school
is
going
to
become
a
better
school
because
of
Zydus
leadership.
The
students
deserve
the
pest
and
they
will
continue
to
get
the
best
with
my
staff
and
our
students
and
our
school
leaders
and,
of
course,
the
folks
central
office
and
city
hall.
We
can't
do
it
without
everybody,
so
we
want
to
acknowledge
everybody.
Thank
you
words.
