Description
Mayor Walsh gave out backpacks to this years Kindergartners of East Boston at the 19th Annual Countdown to Kindergarten Parade held at the Paris Street Community Center Playground. The Kindergartners received backpacks that were filled along the parade route, with school supplies provided by about 30 local businesses After the parade, a former Kindergartner from last year, Youcef Zeddam, was awarded a $5,000 college scholarship for his perfect attendance all year. East Boston Main Street welcomed a new Excecutive Director, Gladys Oliveros, as former Executive Director Max Gruner will be relocating to New Mexico to fill a new position.

and

be
thankful
and
knowledgeable

our
